Here’s how aerial refueling works: a tanker aircraft forms... up in close formation with the receiving plane, matching speed and altitude. The tanker then deploys either a rigid refueling boom or a hose-and-drogue system. With precise control, the receiving aircraft aligns and connects to the apparatus.
