He went to china got all the automation done. Labour issues is very common across all manufacturing setup irrespective of the category and domain. To counter this they automated all the machinery with PLC programming so labour has only one role. Press green or red button. They have only constructed on 1/3rd of the land and entire operations is run by 10-15 people. He can setup and scale the manufacturing to 3x of its current capacity with just one shift but he’s not interested anymore. Next generation may or may not enter the business but he knows how to make the most of the constraints. Our factory tour lasted more than 90 minutes and was worth every minute.show more

Just for comparison, it would take approximately 890 fully loaded BelAZ 75710 truckloads (450-ton payload), the largest dump truck ever built, to remove all that rock. Only three BelAZ 75710 trucks have ever been built. Each weighs 360 tons empty, consumes about 1,300 liters of diesel per 100 km, and requires specially constructed haul roads to operate. The overall footprint of the temple is 3,770 m² (40,500 sq ft). Where did all the excavated rock go? The U.S. advantage has always been in the layer between hardware and human, the interaction design, the software intelligence, the intuitive interfaces that make complex technology feel natural. China is building the physical infrastructure, but they're also learning fast. Every deployed service robot, every classroom full of kids building with education kits, every factory running humanoids, that's all data collection at scale. The window for the U.S. to establish its wedge is narrowing. It's not enough to be better at AI or software anymore.
