I used Claude Code to build and automate a... legitimate quant trading strategy. The framework I built is based on the GARCH model, and it's one of the most-used trading models by real quant desks. Very strange behavior in Claude Code: after specifically telling... Claude to use gemini-3-flash-preview, (and even explaining that it's a new model that just came out), Claude refuses to use it, getting stuck in a loop of making non-edits which keep the old version.
