last night I built a calorie tracking app, fully... automated whilst I was asleep... all of these commits you can see here were on autopilot. I first spent an hour creating a large spec list/plan, split into phases and individual tasks. Kept asking Opus 4.5 to see if there's anything it's unsure of. nailed down the architecture (Bun, Nativewind, MySQL, EffectTS, TanStack Query/Mutate, Barcode Scanner API, Nutrition API details), and the schema. then I built my own version of the Ralph Wiggum bot, which is basically a .md file with a list of commands the AI can use to track task status, latest context, and a loop to keep resetting the context window on task completion. when I woke up in the morning the app was fully working and all tasks were complete. there's also 479 tests across 17 files. I don't know how to feel. This is insane. It works.show more

I tested Kimi K3 vs Claude Opus 4.8 Same... prompt, an armory bay with lighting, props, and detail. Top is Kimi K3, bottom is Opus 4.8. It's not even close. Kimi K3 built a full scene with textures, proper lighting, ammo crates, weapon racks, working detail everywhere. Opus 4.8 gave me a near empty room with a couple of floating tables. No doubt it beats Opus 4.8. Kimi K3 is Fable 5 level, and it's clearly better than GPT-5.6 Sol at 3D and games. An open weight model just matched the best closed models on the market. im sorry but this is a very good example... why detailed, full of context leaks from “extras” and randos on set are fake or full of shit in 99% of cases… if an actor cant place a scene based on dialogue, I promise you an extra that saw 30 seconds of a scene (if) can’t draw context from it and tell you what is going on in the episode/season/with characters. you can get: outfits, maybe a line or two if they even manage to hear it and actually remember it, what they THINK is going on and if they’re composed enough to pay attention to a clapperboard and ADs, maybe an episode and a scene number (that is usually not the case tho)show more
