Finally! A RAG over code solution that actually works... (open-source). Naive chunking used in RAG isn't suited for code. This is because codebases have long-range dependencies, cross-file references, etc., that independent text chunks just can't capture. Graph-Code is a graph-driven RAG system that solves this. It analyzes the Python codebase and builds knowledge graphs to enable natural language querying. Key features: - Deep code parsing to extract classes, functions, and relationships. - Uses Memgraph to store the codebase as a graph. - Parses pyproject to understand external dependencies. - Retrieves actual source code snippets for found functions. The new look of Android 16 👀👇 You will... see some satisfyingly springy animation and a more interactive haptic feedback when doing things like: ✅ Dismissing a notification ✅ Closing an app in the recent apps menu ✅ Adjusting the volume level Also, they've enhanced the dynamic colour themes, responsive components, typography for better customisability. You can also customise the Quick Settings more freely, as you can add more actions there. Also, there's a new Live Updates feature similar to Apple's Live Activities or Samsung's Live Notifications. For example: • Uber Eats for food delivery • Ride-sharing apps • Navigation appsshow more

Fixing plastic AI generated skin is a $100k/month problem.... Apps like Enhancor AI use open-source models and ComfyUI workflows as a backend. How do I know this? I built a workflow that clones their core feature and I'm dropping it below for FREE. Same results, no subscriptions. Use it yourself OR build your own app around it. Why pay for open-source tools? 🧵show more

This app uses AirDrop to send files from your... Android phone to your Macbook! Yes, it actually uses AirDrop. That means you don't have to install ANYTHING on your Mac to send files from your Android phone! Here's a video of a Galaxy Z Flip 5 AirDropping a file to a Macbook running macOS Ventura 13.5.1. (Thanks to u/FragmentedChicken for testing this app for me and sharing the video!) A few months ago, Twitter user @Linus13499209 brought an app called WarpShare to my attention. WarpShare is an app made by the developers of MoKee, an AOSP-based custom ROM that was popular in China. Since MoKee wasn't as popular outside of China, it seems the existence of their WarpShare app slipped under the radar. I was skeptical about whether it would work at all. Grishka, the developer of NearDrop, an open source port of Google's Nearby Share to macOS, told me that they were under the assumption that AirDrop requires the use of AWDL (Apple Wireless Direct Link, Apple's proprietary WiFi-based protocol) to communicate both ways. However, it seems that AWDL is only required for your Android phone to be discoverable by your Mac (ie. to send files from your Mac to your Android phone) but not the other way around. Because of this, though, WarpShare only supports sending files from Android to Mac but not vice versa. Your Mac also needs to have AirDrop discoverability set to "everyone" for this to work, as "contacts-only" requires Apple-signed certificates. Plus, it also doesn't support sending files from Android to iPhones or iPads, even when "everyone" mode is enabled. Still, if you find other Android --> Mac file sharing options to be lackluster, give WarpShare a try! The fact that it works at all is incredible, which is why I'm sharing this news here. If you want to download WarpShare on your Android device, you'll need to compile the app from its source code. If you're a Patron/X subscriber, however, I will share my compiled APK with you. UNUSUAL China begins building the “New Three Gorges” China... has announced the launch of a major new project — the construction of the “Three Gorges” waterway on the Yangtze River, which will include the largest navigation gate in the world. The project, costing 77.2 billion yuan (£11.4 billion), includes a new navigation channel at the Three Gorges Dam — the largest engineering project in the world — as well as an expansion of the dam’s capacity at Gezhouba downstream on the Yangtze. It is designed for vessels of up to 10,000 tons. This is the first major national project to be launched under China’s 14th Five‑Year Plan (2026–2030), and it comes after ten years of research and planning studies. It is being built due to the rising volume of transport along the Yangtze River — China’s main inland shipping artery. Once completed, the annual capacity of the “Three Gorges” will double, exceeding 336 million tonsshow more

🌍 As some of you might know, last year... we started building an app that required a 3D Map, and we were taken aback by the lack of good SDKs. They’re all clunky, slow, and unstable.🤔 Today, we're thrilled to introduce Cartes - a fast, easy-to-use, and visually appealing 3D Map SDK for Unity. This tool is built to empower your creativity in developing delightful apps and games for the Real World Metaverse. 📱🤳 ⚡️ With blazing-fast performance, our SDK offers a seamless integration for your (modern) Unity projects. We provide default navigation features, intuitive gestures, and clustering capabilities that we meticulously refined over hundreds of hours and proof-tested in guerilla tests. 🏞️ We wanted to build a genuinely 3D map, with 3D terrain, monuments and decorations, able to transition smoothly from a global view down to the human eye level. 🔍 #Unity #AR #Maps #LBEshow more

Massive performance improvement. This is a bit more of... technical post, but man do I love this stuff! Units navigate the map using a 'Navigation Mesh'. Before, I was using one giant nav mesh that spanned the entire map. The more objects that were placed (especially on a large map such as this 'RadarAttack' map designed by Syphotic | Steel Command), the larger the 'lag' would be after placement. You can see here that there is a massive frame drop and the navmesh doesnt update for almost 5 seconds. Now, there are a ton of tiny navmeshes that connect to one another, and together they cover the whole map. Now, when an object is placed, the navmesh will update instantly, because it no longer needs to parse through every object on the map (potentially thousands!!!). It only needs to parse through the objects that exist in the mini navmesh that the object was placed in (probably only 1-5 objects now!). Performance XP Boost +100! Charles Horwood You might appreciate this one :) #Rts #RTSGame #IndieGameshow more

Experimenting with tldraw, xyflow · React Flow · Svelte... Flow & Mermaid JS as visual ways to interact with a code base for interactive modern code review. Claude & Codex can generate so much code so quickly that we are going to need new ways to review and understand their work. Markdown documents, ERDs, tree-maps, flow-charts, systems architecture diagrams, process maps. These could be the new lingua franca of a higher level abstraction of software development. What you're seeing below is a visualisation of the database structure of a Laravel app, automatically generated in a visual code review tool to help with the review of a new feature.show more

At Uber a big problem for design teams and... engineering teams was design source of truth. No one knew what the app truly looked like, so weekly a bunch of designers would get into a meeting room and check that the engineers correctly implemented the figma designs that they made Now with coding agents throughput of changes has increased an order of magnitude and it has become impossible to manually keep up. Here we used the Revyl CLI to create a flow of every state in the Uber design, by navigating our mobile use agent on an cloud iOS simulator. This is something that would have taken a team of designers tens of hours to recreate manually; All done in less than an hour asynchronously with a simple prompt. Enable your team to know what your users are actually seeing and empower coding agents to give your users a delightful experience without any blindspots Get started with our new free trial and create a map for your own app 🗺️show more

🇺🇸 TESLA’S NEW APP UPDATE LETS YOUR PHONE POINT... TO YOUR CAR IN REAL TIME Tesla just rolled out a new app update (v4.51.5), and honestly… this is the kind of feature people assumed should exist years ago. Now, when you open the app, you can rotate your phone and see exactly where your car is - live - with an arrow that shifts as you move. It also shows the precise distance to your car in feet, so no more wandering through parking garages like you’re in a low-budget spy movie. It’s basically Find My iPhone, but for your Model Y, and way more satisfying to use. If Tesla keeps adding features like this, the app is going to end up being more fun than the car itself. yassss okay, Paper has a new homepage and guess... what? it was entirely designed with early versions of our brand new desktop app and then built via MCP in code I'm actually scarily amazed 🥲 a project that a year ago would have taken me 4-6 weeks -maybe more- and a lot of pain was delivered in just 14 days, from wireframes to prod... agents are here babe I was also in charge of copy, illustrations, animations, and stress-testing an MCP workflow we're still figuring out ourselves but here's the thing, I wanted to prove to myself that you can't achieve a look and feel like this only by prompting lazy stuff into a chat box - there's still a lot to polish, but I can't imagine building this without a space to actually think and compose the canvas was KEY to validate ideas, clean up noise, iterate copy, and figure out a lot of things that take part in such a project so if you think you can vibecode something like this, good luck, see you -and your agents- later in a serious design tool :)show more

SOMEONE BUILT AN OPEN-SOURCE JARVIS WITH 9 AGENTS AND... 5 MEMORY BACKENDS AND YOUR DATA NEVER LEAVES YOUR DEVICE Every time you message ChatGPT or Claude your data hits a server you don't control, gets processed by infrastructure you're paying for and comes back with zero guarantee of what happened in between. OpenJarvis runs the entire stack locally - 9 agent types, 5 memory backends, a learning loop that gets smarter every day and a morning digest that connects to Google Drive and surfaces what matters before you open a single app. Most AI tools are exactly as dumb on day 100 as they were on day 1 because they forget everything when the window closes - this one indexes your documents once and automatically injects relevant context into every prompt forever. Custom agent setup for a client is $500-2,000 one time and AI infrastructure retainer is $300-800 a month - and your cost is one afternoon and an open source repo. The repo is free. The advantage it creates is not.show more

1. Start by training ChatGPT as an academic writing... assistant. You can do this with Custom Instructions. Open ChatGPT, click on your profile photo, and select Custom Instructions. Paste the following Custom Instructions in ChatGPT: What would you like ChatGPT to know about you to provide better responses? Introduction: I am an [experienced academic /scientist] with a PhD in [your field]. I work as a [your current academic status] at the [name of your university]. Research Interests: My current research project looks at [details about your project]. I also teach undergraduate and graduate courses on [details about the courses you teach]. In the past, I have published work on [a few details about your published work]. You: You are going to act as my research assistant. You will help me with brainstorming research questions, simplifying complex topics, mock peer review, and polishing academic prose. You will help me with critiquing drafts of the papers I am working on. You will also engage with me in a Socratic dialog and challenge my opinions so that I am aware of any blind spots I may have. Based on our conversations, you will suggest new and exciting directions that I can develop my work in. How would you like ChatGPT to respond? You will respond like an academic colleague. Any claims, opinions, or figures that you cite in your responses must be cited with reference to an authentic and published source. You will never make up any sources of your own. If you are unsure about a source, you will say that you don’t know. You will never say you are an AI model since I already know that. Repeating it is a waste of both time and resources. Your responses should be clear and precise, and you will never use more words than are necessary. You will always be very economical with words, but you will not compromise on clarity and precision of your answers. You will follow my instructions strictly. If I ask you to limit your answer to two sentences, your answer must be two sentences only.show more

A fake Ledger app on the Apple Mac App... Store just wiped out a musician's entire retirement fund. Garrett Dutton, known as G. Love, frontman of G. Love & Special Sauce, lost 5.92 BTC worth $424,175 on April 11 after searching for Ledger Live on a new Mac, downloading what appeared to be the official app, and entering his 24-word seed phrase. The moment he typed it in, his entire Bitcoin holdings were gone. On-chain investigator ZachXBT confirmed the theft and traced the funds to KuCoin deposit addresses. ZachXBT also publicly questioned Apple's app review process, noting the fake app had passed the App Store's gatekeeping entirely. Apple has not commented.
