I understand partisanship. I understand that not everyone will... like a politician, personally or for their policies. I also don’t expect much from Fox News or the people who appear there. But, everyone has to see that comparing the first Muslim mayor of NYC to Osama Bin Laden is a bridge too far. Who is the “we” in this statement? This is jaw-dropping racism from a NYC councilwoman.show more

This is how real Chicagoans feel about the ‘teen... takeovers”. It’s not racism or hate to say we don’t want to deal with sort of nonsense. I understand that Mayor & the media want ppl to believe it is, but it’s not.show more

I have no idea how this is even a... thing. Mayor Johnson & his comrades will tell you that the ppl who live in this part of this city are oppressed & the neighborhood has been ignored. When I see a video like this I don’t see oppressed ppl, I see very privileged ppl & I completely understand why someone wouldn’t want to invest in this neighborhood.show more

🚨 Lamine Yamal statement. “𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐦, 𝐚𝐥𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡. Yesterday... in the stadium, the chant “the one who doesn’t boo is Muslim” was heard. I know it was aimed at the rival team and it wasn’t something against me — but as a Muslim, it doesn’t stop being a lack of respect and something intolerable”. “I understand that not all the fans are like that… but to those who sing these things: using a religion as a joke in a stadium makes you look like ignorant and racist people”. “Football is for enjoying it and cheering, not for disrespecting people for who they are or what they believe in”. “That said, thanks to the people who came to cheer us on, see you at the World Cup”.show more

Firstly I hope the cyclist is ok and not... hurt badly. I try not to post full collisions like this that shows too much. As I understand it’s a driverless car collisiding with a cyclist. This video shows is exactly why I cycle to my eyes view. Don’t expect anyone to see me will keep me safer than the other way round most of the time. I’m sure there is times it doesn’t but I try to stay safer where possible. Please all stay safe …show more

What is the answer for this? I know some... people genuinely need wheelchair assistance, and I understand that not every disability is visible. But let’s stop pretending nobody is taking advantage of it. On our last flight, there were at least a dozen wheelchairs lined up to board. I have been flying for years, and you used to see one or two. Now, some airport concourses look like wheelchair parking lots. Cruises and cruise lines are the same. Those chairs are for people who truly need help, not people who are too lazy to walk through the airport or stand in line. Abusing the service only makes it harder for the people who genuinely depend on it.show more
