**BUDDY’S LAST DAY AT THE BEACH** For almost fourteen... years, Buddy had been the constant heart of the Miller family. We love you.” He stayed a little longer, then made his way carefully back to the sand. They wrapped him in towels and sat together as the evening cooled. Buddy rested between them while they told the old stories—wet towels in the car, sandy paws on every seat, the many times he had refused to leave long after everyone else was ready to go home.
