**BUDDY’S LAST DAY AT THE BEACH** For almost fourteen... years, Buddy had been the constant heart of the Miller family. Gray crept across his muzzle. The dog who once vanished into the deeper water for hours eventually preferred to stand where the foam just kissed his paws, watching the horizon with quiet patience. Then the vet’s voice delivered the truth they had been dreading. Buddy was old and very sick. There was no exact number of days left—only the understanding that the calendar had become far shorter than anyone wanted.
