🚨 In the D.C. area alone, Palestine Action’s map... includes multiple private individuals, whose addresses I have blurred here. When a foreign-linked direct-action network starts mapping people as "targets," federal law enforcement should be paying attention. The U.K. has already proscribed Palestine Action. The U.S. should review Palestine Action, its offshoots, and successor networks for designation immediately.show more

“Met Police can go to hell.” Palestine Action and... its supporters have sent a clear message: they have nothing but contempt for Metropolitan Police frontline officers. When a group of extremists takes to the streets to defend a soon-to-be proscribed terrorist group and protest against those who risk their lives to keep our streets safe, it is a frighteningly clear indication that something has gone very wrong in this country. The authorities have a lot to answer for. This ban on Palestine Action — as called for by CAA and others — is a good start, but it should have happened a long time ago, as should bans on these kinds of protests. This must be the start of a clampdown on lawlessness and extremism if it is to be of any consequence.show more

If Andy Burnham genuinely represents change, I assume he’ll... want to reverse the draconian proscription of Palestine Action. It’s a moral outrage that anyone should be labeled a “terrorist” for trying to prevent war crimes and uphold international law.show more

Left: Yvette Cooper, "It's really important that no one... is in any doubt that this is not a non violent organisation" Right: Canary, "Labour knew Palestine Action posed no violent threat, but banned it anyway amid lobby pressure" Article from the Canary reads: "The Labour government’s own advisers told it Palestine Action didn’t pose a clear violent threat. Yet amid pressure from pro-Israel lobbyists, who have significant influence on Keir Starmer’s Labour Party, the state opted to ban the group anyway" "Declassified‘s John McEvoy notes that “officials struggled to produce evidence the group posed a national security threat”" "In particular, MI5’s Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) told the government “the majority of direct action by Palestine Action would not be classified as terrorism”" "The Proscription Review Group (PRG), meanwhile, admitted that it knew of no precedent for banning a non-violent direct action group on terror grounds. And both JTAC and the PRG told the government in March that only 3 out of 385 actions could possibly cross the threshold for banning Palestine Action" "A Community Impact Assessment for the government – from “the Ministry of Housing, RICU (Research, Information and Communications Unit), and NPCC (National Police Chiefs’ Council)” – detailed previous reports of pro-Israel groups and individuals putting pressure on the government." "Those wanting harsher consequences for direct action against companies complicit in Israel’s war crimes against Palestinians included, unsurprisingly: The Israeli embassy. Operation Free MacArthur Park Federal agents have taken control... of MacArthur Park to execute federal arrest and search warrants targeting the notorious open-air drug market there. We are going after street dealers and suppliers of massive amounts of fentanyl and methamphetamine. Over the last 24 hours, federal and local law enforcement have started arresting 25 defendants charged in a federal criminal complaint with possessing and distributing dangerous narcotics, including fentanyl and methamphetamine. The park’s #1 drug trafficker, a Calabasas resident, is in federal custody and faces possible life imprisonment. The other defendants arrested today also face decades in federal prison. Along with a recent federal and local takedown of the 18th Street gang, which claims the park’s northern area as its so-called “territory,” today’s enforcement action shows that U.S. Department of Justice and DEA HQ are determined to fight drug traffickers poisoning our citizens.show more

Spoke to some of my old friends in Mumbai.... They said everyone is surprised and happy by the action against illegal encroachment at Bandra station. Most people believed it would never be removed. But the work was completed peacefully and without much noise, apart from some minor stone-pelting. Now, this should become an example for the entire country. The PM or HM alone cannot take responsibility for everything. The message has already been given from the Red Fort speech and during the Bengal elections. Delhi Haryana, Rajasthan MP Gujarat.. Every BJP-ruled state should learn from the Bandra action and work against illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas. Now or never. There cannot be a bigger motivation than this. RT if you agree.show more

Here's a fun fact: In a pair of articles... published on August 11, 2021, the The Boston Globe propped up BOTH Calla Walsh and Khymani James while they were still in high school. The two went on to become some of the most prolific antisemitic and pro-terror activists of the 2020s. While many of you probably heard of Khymani over the last week from the infamous "you should be thankful I'm not killing Zionists" video, Walsh has also been busy these last few years, from her involvement in the notorious Boston Mapping Project of Jewish businesses to her leading role in the vandalism group Palestine Action. A pro-Palestinian 🇵🇸 group slashed and spray-painted a century-old... portrait of the author of the Balfour Declaration at the University of Cambridge in England 🏴 In March 2024; a pro-Palestinian group slashed and spray-painted a century-old portrait of Arthur James Balfour at the University of Cambridge on Friday, defacing a painting of the British official whose pledge of support in 1917 for “the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” helped pave the way to Israel’s founding three decades later. The group, Palestine Action, said in a statement that the destruction of the portrait in Trinity College, Cambridge, was intended to call attention to “the bloodshed of the Palestinian people since the Balfour Declaration was issued,” particularly in light of the current conflict in Gaza. A spokeswoman for Trinity, whose alumni include King Charles III as well as Balfour himself, said in a statement on Friday that the college “regrets the damage caused to a portrait of Arthur James Balfour during public opening hours” and that it had notified the police. A Cambridge police statement said officers were on the scene to investigate a report of “criminal damage.” Palestine Action posted a video of a protester first spraying the portrait, painted in 1914 by Philip Alexius de László, with red paint and then slashing it with a sharp object. The group’s statement said Balfour had given away the homeland of the Palestinians — “a land that wasn’t his to give away” — touching off what it described as decades of oppression. Since October 7 - 2023, when Hamas militants invading southern Israel killed approximately 1,200 people and abducted 240 others, Israeli bombings and invasions have killed more than 30,000 people, according to Gaza health officials. Defacing art has become a popular protest tactic in recent years. It is perhaps most closely associated with environmentalists, who have targeted paintings by van Gogh, Vermeer and Monet. In 2024, two women from an environmental group entered the Louvre and flung soup at the Mona Lisa. Most of the paintings that have been targeted were covered or protected in some way, and very few were damaged. The pro-Palestinian protesters have targeted art in New York. A few dozen demonstrators disrupted the opening of an Israeli artist’s show at a Manhattan gallery, Hyperallergic reported. In February 2024, protesters interrupted a conversation featuring an Israeli artist whose drawings depicting October 7, 2023 are being exhibited at the Jewish Museum and dozens chanted “Free Palestine” in a demonstration at the Museum of Modern Art. © The New York Times #archaeohistoriesshow more

🚨 For the second time in weeks, the Students... for Justice in Palestine at Swarthmore College have committed acts of domestic terrorism. President Valerie Smith’s yearly compensation is $757,000. This genius has done nothing to stop students who are publicly calling for the deaths of American soldiers, and lending material support to U.S.-designated terror organizations. On April 12, the SJP held a rally, calling for Iran and Hezbollah to bomb our forces. On May 1st, the students committed “hundreds of acts of vandalism” on campus, marking school buildings with Hamas symbols that target the deaths of individuals. Our Dept of Education is set to hand Swarthmore upwards of $1 million in federal funding, despite being a private institution. HT SurgePhilly for videoshow more

TODAY, I am leaving the mining town of Phalaborwa... after a WEEK of serious work. This is a small town in Limpopo Province but folks here live LARGE… BIG CARS are everywhere, the latest models. Phalaborwa is like Dorowa in Zimbabwe… The economy here is anchored by Foskor Mine, a Phosphate mine. Phosphate has several uses, key among them is the manufacture of fertilisers. As much as mining companies pay taxes, I think the best way they can boost the local economy is through providing jobs to locals and paying GOOD SALARIES. We should never tolerate Slave Wages for mine workers, and people living in the area should be prioritised…. That model is doing great in most mining communities in South Africa. Well, my job here is done, I came, I saw, and I learnt….. also made friendsshow more

This has got to be one of the most... disgusting things I have ever seen coming from Harvard. More than 30 Harvard University student organizations are holding Israel “entirely responsible” for the Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel: Joint Statement by Harvard Palestine Solidarity Groups on the Situation in Palestine "We, the undersigned student organizations, hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence. Today's events did not occur in a vacuum. For the last two decades, millions of Palestinians in Gaza have been forced to live in an open-air prison. Israeli officials promise to "open the gates of hell," and the massacres in Gaza have already commenced. Palestinians in Gaza have no shelters for refuge and nowhere to escape. In the coming days, Palestinians will be forced to bear the full brunt of Israel's violence. The apartheid regime is the only one to blame. Israeli violence has structured every aspect of Palestinian existence for 75 years. From systematized land seizures to routine airstrikes, arbitrary detentions to military checkpoints, and enforced family separations to targeted killings, Palestinians have been forced to live in a state of death, both slow and sudden. Today, the Palestinian ordeal enters into uncharted territory. The coming days will require a firm stand against colonial retaliation. We call on the Harvard community to take action to stop the ongoing annihilation of Palestinians." NO! Israel is NOT “entirely responsible” for the slaughter of innocent people at a music festival, and the kidnapping of 100+ civilians, including women and children. No, the videos like the one below of peaceful young people running for their lives as they are attacked and kidnapped is NOT Israel's fault.show more

🚨🇮🇷 IRAN’S CHIEF JUSTICE ORDERS CRACKDOWN AS CITIES BURN... The mask of "reform" has officially slipped in Tehran. Iran’s Chief Justice Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei issued a chilling mandate for "decisive legal action" against what the regime labels as "rioters". While the judiciary claims it will differentiate between "peaceful protesters" and vandals, the reality on the ground in cities like Yasuj tells a far bloodier story. As the nationwide revolt enters its ninth day, the mullahs are pivoting from dismissive to desperate, issuing clear instructions to prosecutors to enforce the law without leniency. A sharp depreciation of the Iranian rial and soaring inflation have pushed the population to the brink. While the government attempts to douse the fire with a "temporary financial relief measure," offering credit for essential goods instead of direct cash, the streets aren't buying it. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf continues to parrot the tired line of "foreign-backed plots," even as his own people face live ammunition. Sources: Burakbaloch, مرد مشکی پوشshow more

🇵🇸 JUST STOP OIL MARCH IN SOLIDARITY WITH PALESTINE... 🦺 Today, Just Stop Oil supporters marched in solidarity with people affected by the Government’s anti-democratic assault on our legitimate right to protest, joining the march and rally for Palestine organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. The event commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Nakba (Arabic for Catastrophe), when over 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly removed from over 500 villages and cities in historic Palestine, never to return. The Nakba continues today — from Jerusalem to Gaza, Israel continues its policy of human rights abuses, displacing and oppressing the indigenous Palestinian population. The Palestinian people need our solidarity now more than ever. ✊ We stand united with our friends at the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and we support everyone who steps up to resist the Public Order Act, which has effectively banned peaceful protest in the UK. At the same time as crushing legitimate dissent in the UK, this criminal government is supporting apartheid in Palestine. The same financial institutions that are funding new fossil fuel projects in the UK are also funding the manufacture of weapons used to repress the Palestinian people and indiscriminately bomb the men, women and children trying to survive in the Gaza strip. ⚖️ This government is engaged in a wholesale assault on human rights here and around the world — migrants’ rights, workers’ rights, protest rights — nothing is sacred. The Public Order Act has criminalised peaceful dissent. Anyone speaking up about the injustices wrought on Palestinians or calling out the corruption and criminality of the UK Government risks arrest. Ordinary people must step up to resist imperialism and authoritarianism and must demand no new fossil fuels if we are to minimise the effects of climate collapse. Palestinians are among the most vulnerable people on Earth to the effects of climate collapse, and in the daily struggle to survive in an apartheid state, they have no capacity to protect themselves against what is coming. 🚷 Join us at Parliament Square at 12 PM every Saturday to demand an end to new oil and gas. "The DronePort at the White House Ballroom will be, perhaps, the most sophisticated anywhere in the World! It will safeguard our Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C., long into the future." "Judge Richard Leon should stop playing games with America’s Security! If anything happens, he will be held responsible for the Death and Destruction caused to our Country." "He has already created enough problems by allowing “Top Secret” information to be released and exposed based on a ridiculous lawsuit started by a highly litigious woman (serial plaintiff!) whose “strolling,” in her opinion, will be disturbed by the new, desperately needed structure – In any event, a woman who has absolutely no STANDING!
