In this Korty’s interview with Asake, this part stood... out for me. Asake, while prompting his car’s voice assistant to play him one of his songs, first spoke with a slight accent. But the voice assistant couldn’t understand him and he quickly switched to his original, African self. This, coupled with the usage of the Yoruba language in the interview, shows that to cement your place in the world and get the admiration of the entire world, you must be your original self. This is one of the best interviews I’ve seen and I encourage everyone to go see it as well. God bless all the creatives behind this.show more

After spending his entire childhood in silence, that day... changed everything. As the hearing device is switched on, his world fills with sound for the very first time. And the first voice his small, trembling ears hear is his mother’s. The same voice that sang to him, prayed over him, and waited patiently for this moment. In an instant, his eyes light up. Her tears fall. And a new chapter begins, one filled with sound, love, and a bond deeper than words.show more

“I love you!” By the start of the third... trimester, your baby is beginning to absorb sound in the womb - with evidence suggesting they can both identify mom’s voice and the distinct rhythms and patterns of her native language at birth. Knowing that these are among our earliest learnings, don’t be surprised if your little one begins to mimic the musicality of certain words and phrases well before they explode into language near the end of the first year. In fact, this musicality or “prosody” is even displayed in your baby’s cries. That’s right: babies cry with an accent. With all this in mind, check out this little guy (shared to TT by bri_col44), who - at 3 months - sure appears to have said “I love you.” Developmentally, it’s probably a little early for the phrase to be associated with meaning (with our first communicative words typically emerging between 10-14 months), but amazing how well this little one matches mom’s phrasing, even as articulation and understanding are continuing to develop. It all a part of the amazing process of language development. And that’s not to even mention that smile! There’s truly nothing better.show more

Morgan Rogers simply doesnt provide enough star quality to... be able to get away with this OOP He pressed well in the other half, but this is unacceptable. This coupled with his incredibly wasteful style of play, makes him producing goals paramount to him deserving to even play.show more

This is the type of play I worry about... with the Hawks picking up Ben King. At this stage of his career, he should kill a young defender in this position. This should be a simple case of holding position and taking the mark. But where is the body use? Where is the physicality? He has Harry Dean (and credit to Harry for making the spoil) in all sorts of trouble here, but allows him to get to the fall of the ball in a spot King should have owned. He has to be better than this.show more

"wait until 5 & 6. At least for me,... i'm kind of a gooey, romantic when it comes to all that stuff. That's where the real acting and the real person-on-person moments and the real grit of it comes out." starting with the physical intimacy, and they're really about to dive in deeper even in the real, emotional intimacy. Especially with Ilya, that means so much, cause he's about to take down all of his defenses and just be his most vulnerable, his most honest self with Shane. No more "that means nothing" when deep down, he always felt it, those moments with Shane always meant everything, cause he is fucking in love with this man. And he's about to confess that, even if he already did but this time, Shane will hear it in his language... Cause this needs to be out. Learning is something you and your baby do together.... You can think of the process as happening in three distinct stages, during which skills are transferred gradually from you to your little one: During the first stage, your baby is observing the behavior and skills of others. During the second, they begin to emulate these behaviors - and can find success with the support of a helpful adult (you) or more expert peer (often a sibling). And gradually they internalize these skills and perform them all by themselves. This video is a great example of the shared second phase. Infants explore the world with their mouths. But an important lesson of toddlerhood is that some things are for putting in our mouths, while others are not. This little one knows that we don’t eat the Play-Doh. But it sure is tempting! Watch as he breaks off a piece and brings it to his mouth. As he does his eyes lift and he realizes that Mom is watching - which alone prompts some introspection. He grins broadly, shakes his head and exclaims “No, no, no” - using Mom’s past words to affirm his decision to place the Play-Doh back on the table. Left to his own devices, who knows? But together, without exchanging a word, he managed to make the right choice. As a parent it’s important to remember the key role you play in the learning process. And that extends to your child’s behavior. Self-regulation begins as co-regulation. So be there. This sweet little guy was shared to IG by parentosa.show more

Children of God, hear me. You have been called... into a battle far greater than that of swords and shields, a battle against the unseen powers of darkness that seek to corrupt and consume. Yet, take heart—for the words of the Apostle John ring as a clarion call across the centuries: ‘You are of God, little children and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.’ . This is not merely a declaration, it is a promise. The One who resides within you is the very Spirit of God, the breath that stirred the waters of creation, the power that raised Christ from the grave and the flame that ignites the hearts of the faithful. This indwelling strength is mightier than any force of this world, mightier than the legions of hell that march against you. . Do you see the implication of this truth? The ruler of this world, the enemy of our souls, may seek to sow despair and chaos, yet he trembles before the presence of God within you. The forces of evil thrive on fear, yet they are powerless against a heart that beats with the courage of Christ. What army, what king, what demon can stand against the child of God who walks in the fullness of this promise? None. . Consider this: David, a shepherd boy, faced Goliath not with armor or sword but with the confidence that the God who dwelled within him was greater than the giant before him. Gideon, with only three hundred men, routed a vast army because he relied not on numbers but on the strength of the Almighty. And even Christ Himself, in the wilderness, stood unshaken against Satan, for He bore the fullness of God within Him. In each of these, the truth of 1 John 4:4 was revealed: the power of God in His children cannot be overcome. . Do not be deceived, beloved of God. The trials you face, the adversaries that rise against you, may appear insurmountable. But appearances are the weapon of the enemy, meant to blind you to the truth. You are not alone. The Spirit that moves mountains and silences storms dwells within you. Stand firm in this knowledge. Let it be your shield, your fortress, your banner in battle. . Let the world shake. Let the enemy roar. But you, child of God, stand tall. For He who is in you is greater—greater than fear, greater than sin, greater than death itself. With this truth, you are invincible, for the strength of Heaven courses through your veins. Take up this mantle of faith and stride forward as a conqueror, not in your own might but in the power of the Almighty. . Remember this, and let it guide your steps: you are of God, and He has overcome the world. Therefore, you too shall overcome. Walk boldly in the light of this truth, for the Spirit within you is the light that no darkness can extinguish. #ChristIsKing #WeAreTheStormshow more

If you are going to see Noah Kahan in... Fenway this week you are in for one. An artist in his prime immersed in his most emo locale of New England (Kahan is from Vermont). It is, undoubtedly, the best place to see him. His songwriting, voice, energy, showmanship, will never be better than it is now. He played 13 songs from his new album and the crowd knew all the words. When many artists play new songs at concerts people go to the bathroom. Kahan fans are TRUE fans. His dark, expressive features and easy charm fills Fenway--and he has a great rapport with his excellent band. "Paul Revere", "Orange Juice", ect. He played 26 songs in the rain and they all went over the monster (Except "Downfall"--one of my favs on new album. Needs to be more intimate, IMO) There were brief chit chats, great pacing, NO POLITICS, and fireworks at the end. A celebration of his sincere gratitude with a New England video travel log behind him. The video screens and backdrops were artfully and tastefully done. Smart, fun, energetic, production. This young generation of New Englanders has their James Taylor. (I would have loved to hear a JT cover last night.) A voice for a generation that will have staying power. Bravo, Noah Kahanshow more

“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am... the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." - John 8:12 In John 8:12, Jesus declares, "I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." This profound statement reveals the identity of Christ and His role in our lives. In the ancient world, light symbolized knowledge, goodness, and divine revelation. Jesus, as the Light of the world, guides us through the darkness of sin and confusion. When we choose to follow Him, we step out of the shadows and into clarity, purpose, and truth. This choice transforms our identity. No longer are we lost wanderers, but children of light, reflecting. His glory. Christian living calls us to walk in this light daily. It means aligning our actions and decisions with His teachings. It involves seeking His presence through prayer, scripture, and fellowship. As we do this, His light shines through us, impacting those around us and drawing them to Him. In the 21st century, distractions abound. The digital age presents us with endless streams of information, often leading to confusion and a loss of direction. Yet, amidst this noise, Jesus offers a clear path. Following Him doesn't mean life will be devoid of challenges. But it assures us we'll never face them alone or in darkness. Reflect on your spiritual growth. Are you walking in His light? When faced with decisions, do you seek His guidance first? Consider how you can let His light shine through you to bless others. As you reflect, ask yourself: How can I more fully embrace my identity in Christ and allow His light to guide my everyday choices? Seek His wisdom and let His light illuminate your path. Let us pray: Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart open to embodying the teachings of Your Son, Jesus Christ. As I journey through the Beatitudes, the Fruits of the Spirit, and the call to walk in faith, I ask for Your guidance and wisdom. Help me to practice forgiveness as Jesus did. To embrace the community of believers, and to live with the purpose You have designed for me. May my life reflect the love and grace of Christ in all I do. Lord, as I reflect on my journey, strengthen my commitment to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. Let my actions and words be a testament to His love and teachings. In the Almighty name of the Lord of Lords and King of Kings Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.show more
