An ode to the 7 Wood… I ignored the... hype for a long time. My male ego just didn’t let me give the 7 wood a try. With my hybrid struggling, I finally took the plunge a couple months ago. I can say with no hyperbole: It’s the best club ever. This is a tough stance and have to get the ball up fast. 195 yards out. Basically zero chance for me with an iron or hybrid. Just put it in the middle of that stance and swing. Boom. Rough, bunkers, fairway…just doesn’t matter. Somehow it always seems to go in the right direction.
