Let’s talk about light therapy, melasma, and how hormones... play a role. ✨ I’m using the Nanoleaf LED Light Therapy Mask 🟩 Green light therapy is gentle, calming, and works near the surface of your skin. It can: • Soothe redness and inflammation • Help reduce dark spots and hyperpigmentation • Even out skin tone for a natural glow ❤️ Red light therapy is amazing for deeper repair, collagen, and cell rejuvenation, but if you have melasma, you’ll want to skip it. Here’s why ⬇️ Melasma causes dark patches that are easily triggered by heat, light, and hormonal changes. Red light can generate warmth and activate pigment cells, sometimes making melasma worse. And for women in perimenopause or menopause, shifting estrogen and progesterone levels can make skin even more reactive, which means pigmentation can flare up more easily. If you’re managing melasma, focus on gentle options like green or yellow light therapy, daily SPF, and a calm, consistent skincare routine. Your skin is evolving , treat it with patience, not punishment. 💚 And if you’re unsure, always do your own research. Talk to your dermatologist first. #melasma #greenlighttherapy #menopauseskin #skincaretips #skinhealth #hyperpigmentation #skincareeducationshow more
