IT IS TIME TO ๐๐-๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐... ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ IN OUR COUNTRY. ONCE AGAIN. ALL OVER AGAIN. I read a beautiful farewell message from a Kenyan High school teacher (Physics & Mathematics) to his colleagues, friends, students, and community. I also watched a short clip on the same! So moving, it reminded me how Teaching is, easily, the most importantly IMPACTFUL profession for national development. Indeed, the difference between the so-called First World and the rest is not how high buildings rose to the skies but how much of deliberate investments went into Education and Healthcare. Let me drop both items - farewell message and the clip - here! "Askum (Asalam Aleikum). As I prepare to bid farewell after 17 incredible years at Sheikh Ali High School, my heart overflows with gratitude and love for each of you. I feel both sad and happy as I write this. Sad, because I am leaving after an incredible 17 years filled with unforgettable memories and wonderful friendships. Happy, because I am joining my family and starting a new chapter in my life. Thank you all for the beautiful memories and the unwavering support. I will cherish the times we've spent together and carry them with me always. To my dedicated staff mates, your camaraderie, support, and understanding have made every day a joy. Working alongside such talented and committed individuals has been a privilege that I will always cherish. To the support staff, your tireless efforts behind the scenes have been crucial to our success. Your dedication and hard work have often gone unnoticed, but I want you to know that they have always been deeply appreciated. To all my current and former students, you have been the heart and soul of my time here. Your enthusiasm, resilience, and achievements have been a constant source of inspiration. Watching you grow and succeed has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. To the Mandera community in general and the Rhamu in particular, your love, support, and prayers have sustained me throughout my stay. You welcomed me with open arms and made Mandera feel like home. Your warmth and hospitality will always be remembered with fondness. Serving as Deputy Principal for over 10 years has been an incredible journey. Sheikh Ali High School will always remain my home. To the Secondary Schools Sports family , my experience as Secretary of Sports, KSSSA Mandera County for 14 years has been nothing short of extraordinary. The spirit, determination, and passion you have shown in sports have created some of my most cherished moments. To my dear friends, I will miss the memories we've created together. The laughter, the challenges, and the countless moments of joy have made my time here unforgettable. Your friendship has been a cornerstone of my journey, and I will carry these cherished memories with me always. Thank you all for the beautiful memories, the support, and the understanding you have shown me over the years. Mandera has been my home and will forever hold a special place in my heart. I will miss you all dearly. With heartfelt gratitude and warmest regards, Wario D. Guyo, Outgoing Deputy Principal Sheikh Ali High School."show more

Today, I am 30 and saying goodbye to my... twenties. As I celebrate this milestone, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey I've experienced during my twenties. The past decade was a period of profound growth, self-discovery, and transformative experiences that shaped me into who I am today. My twenties were filled with many highs and some lows, but through it all, I was resilient and persistent. I faced challenges head-on and learned important lessons along the way that shaped my perspective and enlightened my understanding of life. One of the most significant aspects of my twenties was the journey of taking back my own happiness and self-discovery. I uncovered my passions, strengths, and true purpose. This journey allowed me to embrace my authentic self and my dreams. I learned to respect myself, my time, and my energy more. I realized the importance of setting healthy boundaries, prioritizing self-care, and surrounding myself with positive individuals in my life. By honoring my needs and valuing my well-being, I have created a solid foundation for personal growth and fulfillment. Part of the process involved removing negative energy and people from my life. I recognized those who didn't genuinely want the best for me. Letting go of toxic relationships allowed me to create the space I wanted for positivity, growth, and healthier connections. Another pivotal moment during my twenties was a career change. Recognizing my desire for alignment between my passion and my profession, I bravely pursued a new path. It was not easyโthat decision required courage, determination, and betting on myself. I started small before reaching greater heights, and I embraced that challenge. Eventually, it led me to a career that brings me immense fulfillment and joy. My willingness to embrace change and take calculated risks has set me on a path of not only continued success but also my own goals and personal satisfaction. Amidst all of the experiences, the most precious gifts of my twenties were the arrival of my two beautiful boys. Parenthood has brought immeasurable joy, love, and purpose into my life. Through the joys and challenges of raising children, I have grown in compassion, patience, and the ability to nurture and care for others. My boys are a constant reminder of the love and happiness that fill my world every day. As I celebrate my 30th birthday, I want to express gratitude to my wife, my two sons, the incredible family I have, and the friends who have been there for me throughout my journey. They have witnessed everything. Through it all, their love, support, and shared memories have brought immense richness and depth to my life, reminding me of the power of real connection and the importance of cherishing these relationships I hold so close to my heart. As the next decade begins for me, I will embrace the wisdom and experiences I gained during my twenties. I will trust in my abilities and continue to pursue my dreams with passion and resilience. My thirties hold the promise of further personal growth, new adventures, and the opportunity to create lasting memories with my loved ones. Thank you all for everything! With so much love and gratitude, Geomar Milianshow more

Happy 58th Birthday to me, Reverend Jide Macaulay! ๐๐... Happy Holy Homosexual Today, as I reflect on the 58 years of my life's journey, I'm filled with gratitude to God, the almighty for the experiences, challenges, and triumphs that have shaped me into the person I am today. I am a black African priest, British Nigerian, openly homosexual, and living with HIV, and I wear these aspects of my identity as badges of honour. Throughout my life, I've been on a mission to fight for justice and equality, particularly for LGBTQ+ individuals and people living with HIV. I've faced countless hurdles and obstacles, but my commitment to this cause has only grown stronger. It's a path that isn't always easy, but it's one I walk with pride and determination. The House of Rainbow, which I founded, stands as a testament to my unwavering dedication to creating safe and welcoming spaces for those who have been persecuted and marginalised. It brings me immense joy to see how this space has become a symbol of love, acceptance, and support for so many. As I mark my 58th year, I understand that there is much work still to be done. But I also carry with me the knowledge that I have been able to make a difference, to touch lives, and to inspire change. I've witnessed the power of love, acceptance, and community, and it's a force that can transform the world. So, to all those who have shown compassion, who have stood by me during difficult situations, and who have cared for my wellness, please accept my sincerest thanks. Your contributions, both seen and unseen, have made an indelible mark on my life and on the lives of many others. Together, we can and will build a world that is more inclusive, more compassionate, and more accepting. Hereโs to celebrating my 58th birthday with a heart full of hope and a spirit fortified by the mission to create a more inclusive and compassionate world. A lifelong learner and a student of many passions... yesterday I received my 2ND advanced degree - a Doctorate in Health Policy from George Washington University School of Nursing. I am grateful to Allahu SWA for the life opportunities Iโve enjoyed along with purposeful and needed challenges along the way. To many on this app, I am known for my no BS politics, and to my patients itโs Dr. ALI. My passion has been providing exceptional care for my patients and communities for nearly two decades. I came back to Somalia in 2016/17 to focus on primary healthcare BUT because the system doesnโt allow for expertise and progress, I opened my OWN practice in Mog and unfortunately for security challenges I had to close it. My journey continues both in and out of Somalia and Inshallah I will have the opportunity to use my training and expertise in primary care/health policy to improving health outcomes for my people. To my family and friends who have always kept me going - thank you for the love and support. To my political adversaries, caadi iska dhiga. We share a country - not lives. With our season being over my contract with Team... Vitality ๐ has ended It has been a rocky journey and through each challenge it has been a test of who we are and what weโre made of. I can personally say that the work ethic of the team cannot be put to question and everyone was willing to go over and above to get us to where we wanted to be. It can feel like all the work had no reward, but I truly believe that the work is an investment for a lifetime and not just a season. To the fans, we know it is disappointing and we really dreamed of that fairy tale story in Paris. For now the players, coaches and staff appreciate the support that has been given and even I could feel the warmth of the well wishes and welcomes I received when I joined the org. I will appreciate the memories of everyone here that will last me a lifetime. Iโm very grateful to have been here and to have been part of the vitality story๐ ๐ค๐show more

Today Iโve been doing a lot of thinking, and... this is from my heart. Thank you Dad for being a wonderful father. Thank you Mom for being truly the best mother! I love you Jessica. It was a blast growing up with you. I wish I could see you all more. Thank you to all my family; aunts and uncles on my fatherโs side and my motherโs side. Thank you to Adalis for the 17 best years of my life. Thank you Camila for making life exponentially more enjoyable. Thank you to all the pastors who opened their platforms to me at 19,20,21,22. Guys that probably think I forgot about them like Dr. Samuel Bombara, Doug Sayers, and David Sanville. Thank you for helping me get started. Thank you to every pastor who opened their church to me to preach in the last 21 years. Iโm filled with gratitude for your kindness. Thank you to Dr. Rodney Howard Browne. My life took an upward turn when I met you. You have been a true, caring friend and mentor. Thank you to our Revival Today family. Youโve never wavered in working to reach the lost. Thank you to our Revival Today Church family in Pittsburgh and now Fort Worth. You hold a dear place in my heart! Thank you to everyone who threatened to kill me for not actually killing me. We all have bad days. But mostly, I want to thank whoever is reading this. You have likely baked me something, encouraged me, or shown me kindness in some way. I hope you know how much I appreciate you. You send me ice cream. You send things youโve made that express your love, and many times thereโs no name attached, so I have no way to thank you. So thank you. You warm my heart. Thanks for caring about me and what I do. Thanks for treating me like your own brother or son. At the risk of sounding creepy, I wish I could hug you today. In 43 years Iโve had very few negative encounters with anyone. People have been so nice to me for no reason. Thank you. But most of all, I donโt know if you read Instagram or not, but thank you Jesus. You saved me. You called me. And then you took me all over the world. I have had so much fun telling people about you and your Word. Youโve kept me extremely healthy and so full of joy. Thank you for 43 years of life. I owe you everything.show more
