It's mind bending walking around the same place simultaneously... in two timelines Inside the frame it's winter, and outside the frame it's summer - until you step inside. Recorded this footage in the winter and localized it against a massive 3d scan of the same ranch in the summer. You can follow the camera from the outside, then step into the moment I recorded. We spend so much time looking at memories through 2d rectangles in our camera roll. It's a strange feeling to walk around one instead. Like navigating through space instead of scrolling through time. The geospatial memory palace continues to come to life!show more

2d moments frozen in time. Turned into 3d holograms.... Left exactly where they happened in the real world. The geospatial memory palace coming to life. Excited baby deer startles mama deer momentarily, who then chills out after :) Can you imagine when your entire camera roll comes to life like this?show more

Can you guess which of these is a wild... elephant? Olsekki, one of our ex-orphans at our Ithumba Reintegration Unit, has been spending a lot of time with a wild bull. They have been browsing side by side this week, walking the same routes through Tsavo. Our Keepers can tell the difference, but to anyone else, we suspect it's impossible to tell who grew up in the wild and who was rescued from the Maasai Mara in 2014. After more than a decade in our care, lots of sleepless nights, fingers suckled on and many many bottles of milk, Olsekki has been accepted into the wild herds around him. It's everything we worked towards.show more

Frame by frame through the ruins of Tel Aviv... This time, history itself is the director. 🔹The scenario was written by Operation Sincere Promise, and the scenes were recorded by hypersonic missiles. 🔹Some frames are forever etched in the memory of history; today it was Tel Aviv's turn to watch its own fall, frame by frame.show more

10 years ago today, Drake released 'VIEWS' 🦉 It... remains the last rap album to debut with over 1 MILLION units in its first week and currently sits at over 12 BILLION streams on Spotify. "The album is based around the change of the seasons in our city. It starts out in the wintertime... Winter to summer and back to winter again. It's just to show you the two extreme moods that we have. We're grateful for our summers but we also make our winters work... You start to value your days a lot more when most people won't go outside type of thing... It creates a different person. I thought it was important to make the album here during the winter." — Drake Favorite tracks on the album?show more

A new Control Center Design in visionOS 27 takes... you to a whole new, beautiful environment. Thórsmörk might be my favorite one yet. During the day, the river flows through the landscape. At night, it's frozen. The level of detail is incredible. It's amazing how much you can see and hear in this environment. Recorded with the new high quality unfoveated screen recording that's now possible on device.show more

You do not need to step outside the universe... to determine whether space is curved. Geometry can reveal it from within: even the angles of a sufficiently large triangle behave differently in positively curved, flat, and negatively curved space. In cosmology, the FLRW metric describes these possibilities through the curvature parameter k. The deeper idea is that the large-scale geometry of space can, in principle, be inferred from measurements made entirely by observers living inside it.show more

Just switching to a new work phone and found... this very short video I'd recorded walking around on the final day outside WHL in 2017 within the site of the new stadium. Mad how much has changed since, but on the grass - Bilbao and Amsterdam aside - it's been such a downward curve.show more

for those that don't grasp how crazy this is... GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst vs Ideogram 4.5 and by the way it's likely just simple masking/in-painting but it still surprises me it's not the default for the majority of image editing models. you can tell it's in-painting because you can see the bush around my shoulder slowly turn into a line. it's the same reason my tattoos fade on why side of my arm (the closest to my t-shirt). no excuse for chopping of half of my head though. I'm going to have to try a workflow where I use this on every frame of a video.show more

Do you know why I love Barcelona? Because only... in Barcelona can you stumble into all of this in one single Saturday. We started at Palau de la Música Catalana for Madama Butterfly. It's the only concert hall in Europe lit completely by daylight, through a stained glass dome built in 1908. After we walked outside, we noticed a big gathering of people, so we headed to see what was going on. A helicopter was circling the Cathedral square, dropping thousands of small poems out of the sky. Half written by Catalan poets, half by Chilean ones. I didn't know what it was at the time, but I researched it after, and it's a one-time art project called "Bombardeig de Poemes," marking 50 years since the end of the Franco dictatorship. Then, a few streets over, we found the Kiss mural. From far away, it's two people kissing. Up close, it's 4,000 individual photo tiles, each one sent in by a local back in 2014. Had no idea what it was, but apparently it's one of the most photographed spots in the city. Finally, ended the night at the Magic Fountain in Montjuïc. Built in 1929, it's free every night it runs. None of this was planned. We didn't look any of it up beforehand, we just walked into it. That's also the annoying part, you can't plan a day like this. This is why I'll never get tired of this city.show more
