Dubai is known for its iconic buildings and wide... city roads, making it a city of big things. Even frequent travelers are always in awe of the city’s grandeur. Imagine what Dubai must be like for your 75-year-old mom! I took her to Burj Khalifa, where we met an Ugandan at the security checkpoint who greeted us in Luganda. Mom was thrilled to see someone from Uganda. At the Marina, we met an Indian family from Uganda who spoke Luganda, which was quite interesting. It seems Luganda was their code language until we boarded. Their conversation was pleasant, and we greeted them later as we disembarked. I thought I should share an update. Thanks for the love on these streets. I am happy that some people have reached out to me about organizing an annual trip to give their elders an experience of a lifetime. We are seeing a lot of confusion about "Body... to Body", so just to clear things up: Yoongi and Namjoon were not against using the Arirang sample. Fun fact. Stoopee (the black one) wandered into our... house a week after our dog Watson passed. A month after we adopted him, he made sure to bring his friend from the street Lucy (the white one) by. We knew it would have to be both of them adopted together. Now during the day, whenever they sleep they like to be in each others eye line. At night, she sleeps in the bedroom and he makes sure to sleep in a bed right outside the bedroom door. Like he’s keeping watch on the three of us. We moved back to Mumbai exactly a year ago. With our two goa indies. We were so stressed about whether they would adapt. Strangely, the minute they got to the city, away from the street they lived on, it’s like they knew they were set for life. Because the reminder of the street they used to live on was gone, so they weren’t always on edge. They know now, Wherever we go, they know they are coming. While that was happening, another older lady walked up and asked if we could show her the truck too. So my wife finished with the first couple, and I started the tutorial all over again. Earlier today I was ironing some clients clothe with... the gas iron when I had the sudden urge to use the toilet. I turned off the gas and went to the toilet. I went about with other things when I came out thinking the iron was off. Next thing I heard was Mummy your table is burning. I rushed down to find that the gas was still on and I had only increased the heat instead of turning it off. What amazed me was that the rubber iron mat that came with it didn't burn but everything beneath it melted. Does anyone know the kind of material they use in making the mat? Why is it so hard to fix the power problem in this country so we don't have to resort to endangering our lives trying to solve problems that we shouldn't be having in 2026? The first version of Stormwind had no districts or canals. The framerate was below terrible. Then I thought of Venice. I grabbed a map of the city and slapped it down on the table the next morning. When we settled on these grounds in Thika, some... people from the region advised against it. They argued that the venue was a little far from where people naturally congregate, and that unless we organized transport, few would walk. They advised us to hold stopovers in busy markets, bus stops and other populated areas where crowds are readily available. According to them, that is how every politician campaigns in Thika. But as the organizing team, we put our foot down. We said, Sisi Ndio Sifuna, and we were going to do things differently.
