Just a fun experiment. Graveyard Keeper 2 is fully... done in 3D but rendered with a fixed angle orthographic camera. This what happens if we put a camera behind the player. Looks like a 3D game. But obviously with lots of glitches (as side/back faces are not texturized).show more

Play stupid games like having main character syndrome, win... stupid prizes like being an expendable side character in "300". but fr this shit is starting to happen a lot. I am fully aware of the risks of filming hc shows with a $10K camera and posting random viral clips, but ifshow more

REAL PHOTOGRAPHY MUST REMAIN IN PEOPLE'S HANDS Today, we... are launching VWFNDR™ + MBL, a compact camera for everyone. A camera you always carry should work like a camera, not as a computational filter, not as an AI image generator, but as a tool for intentional photography.show more

Fun fact: if you train a 3D Gaussian splat... with images where the subject keeps looking at the camera, you get this... 👀 Runnable link 👇show more

Worked on this as a 3D Artist and Compositor!... Super tight deadline with only a week but we managed. Was fun working with bro again sten 🫡 Heres some of the shots I did :)show more

Create a 3D model from a single image, set... of images or a text prompt in < 1 minute 😮‍💨 This new AI paper called CAT3D shows us that it’ll keep getting easier to produce 3D models from 2D images — whether it’s a sparser real world 3D scan (a few photos instead of hundreds) or your favorite 2D image generator like Midjourney (just an image). How does this magic work? “This architecture is similar to video diffusion models, but with camera pose embeddings for each image instead of time embeddings. The generated views are passed into a robust 3D reconstruction pipeline to create the 3D representation (Zip-NeRF or 3DGS)”show more

our dungeon crawler gridder game THREE VERSES always had... a fixed head-on camera, but the game is too beautiful to restrict to one angle. so now there's camera tilt allowing you to look observe and explore way more of the environmentshow more

An essential bit of gamedev math - atan2! We... often know a target's position and want to face it. But how do we get the angle? angle = atan2(y / x) Or in 3D... angle = atan2(x / z) (We can also see below, what happens if we use atan instead of atan2) #godot #gamedevshow more

Speaking of fixed camera games, we talk a lot... about Resident Evil and Alone in The Dark. Even Ecstatica. But who played this ancient DOS game called "Bioforge" ?show more

IronSight turns 2D range footage into a replayable 4D... world -- with shot detection, 3D target tracking, and a camera you can move anywhere. Seeing my own runs reconstructed from every angle is ridiculously fun. Can't wait till we can run this tech in real time.show more

I really wish Roblox would have done something like... this with the backgrounds. Would be so cool having a fully 3d crossroads as your background.show more

This streamer has one of the most astonishing 3D... vtuber models. It's done completely in 3D, but looks like a realistic moving puppet from a kids show. It has such expressive animations and a unique movement style. They even modeled a controller for gaming streams.show more

What a goal last night by Fer Lopez!🤯 Can’t... see him coming back sadly! Unbelievably talented player but perhaps he’s a luxury we can’t afford in the side at the moment with where we are in the table scrapping for points. Players like this glide into a top six side! He will be one top player! 👏👏👏show more

The way this scene happened in 1991 is fascinating.... The characters are of course drawn in 2D by hand, like the rest of the film. But the background is rendered in 3D with computers (using Pixar’s RenderMan software… long before they made their own feature films!). Then, the 2D layer is composited over the 3D layer using CAPS, the software Pixar developed for Disney to replace the decades-old multiplane camera.show more

Single video → a reframeable 4D Gaussian Splatting scene.... Not a sequence of separately built 3D frames played back like a video. This is one continuous space-time scene, reconstructed from a single clip shot on an iPhone 16. We combine feed-forward Gaussian generation, 3D tracking, and 4D Gaussian Splatting, aiming to deliver it as a compact 4D video file that runs on your phone. Still early R&D. The goal: make 4DGS something anyone can create and experience, not just researchers with a camera rig.show more
