Saeed’s 15-year-old son, who was attacked alongside him, was abducted from the scene after his father was shot and has since been held at the Israeli Ofer detention camp. Saeed himself was detained as a prisoner at Soroka Hospital and was not allowed to receive visitors or see his relatives or family members. Today, the court decided to release both of them from detention, demanding 10,000 shekels for their release. Due to technical reasons, the release will be delayed and will only take place tomorrow. Binyamin Bodenheimer—the settler who shot Saeed—is the security coordinator of the settlement of Avigail. As the person responsible for the settlement’s security, he is deeply committed to acting in the settlement’s interests, which means to the harm of his Palestinian neighbors. His activities include, among other things, expelling shepherds from their lands, harassing residents who are under threat of expulsion, and invading villages with youths from the settlement. This prosecutor should be ashamed of himself for promoting... such a fundamental mischaracterization of a defense attorney’s duties. Yesterday, in his closing argument in the trial of #EdrickFaust, elected district attorney Kalki Yalamanchili boldly stated that the defendant’s lawyer, Ahmad Crews, has the duty of “[making] sure, regardless of what the evidence is, that he does everything he possibly can to walk Mr. Faust out that door - even though he murdered Tara Baker.” This was (correctly) objected to immediately by Mr. Crews, but what Judge Lisa Lott did to remedy the statement remains unclear. Let me make this clear: defense lawyers are only under obligation to the Constitution. They are not intended to indiscriminately fight for the outcome of a client. They are, just as any other attorney, prohibited from fabricating evidence or information to mislead the court or a jury. Their job is to ensure the prosecution lawfully, and following rules of due process, proves its case beyond a reasonable doubt. Part of their job is to call into question the strength of the evidence against their clients, but not through stooping to the level of deception. The zealous defense of a client cannot be equated with immoral advocacy. It does not mean excusing crime, ignoring facts, or endorsing violence. Undermining and demonizing that role by portraying counsel as morally corrupt for doing his job pressures jurors to effectively punish defendants for the stigma associated with having defense counsel. If there are mistakes, prejudices, conflicts of interest, or any other reason to lose faith in an investigation, a defense attorney’s job is to bring it to the surface and hold the government to account rather than allow a defendant to be steamrolled into a wrongful conviction. This latest push is a glaring reality that Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB are behind the noise of a "Christian Genocide" in Nigeria. This is an attempt to undermine the sovereignty of the Nigerian state and forment chaos of international dimension. It is crucial to remind the global community that Nnamdi Kanu is not a prisoner of conscience but a man who jumped bail after being granted temporary freedom by a competent Nigerian court. Even more telling is that Nnamdi Kanu himself, inside the courtroom, confessed to committing the crimes for which he is being tried, claiming in a video-recorded moment that the offences were committed in the United Kingdom. The Scythians, also known as the Saka, were an Iranic-speaking people who originated in the regions of Minusinsk, the Altai, Tuva, Mongolia, and Xinjiang. The anthropologist Mikhail Gerasimov reconstructed his visage from a richly furnished royal burial in a monumental mausoleum at Neapolis containing over 70 interments. With regard to the alleged drunken brawl and uncouth... behaviour of an Army Officer and his fiancée in Bhubaneswar, Gen (Retd) V K Singh, former COAS and ex-Union Minister, in his post used highly inappropriate language castigating Police in general and Odisha Police in particular. When I called him out, several retired Army Officers responded with uncivilized and irrelevant comments. Later, I wrote to Defence Minister suggesting to court-martial and punish the Army Officer involved and Lt. Gen. PS Shekhawat for conduct unbecoming of soldiers and committing grave offences under sections 21(c), 45, 48 and other relevant provisions of the Army Act, 1950. It is eliciting a lot uncouth and loutish online behaviour which only the scum of the society, not the “disciplined” Army Officers indulge in. They are calling the Indian Police all sorts of names. They are also personally attacking me by sharing ad nauseum some trash of old pieces of yellow journalism with false and motivated allegations against me which I had countered by issuing a signed rejoinder way back in 2018, that is two years before I retired on superannuation in 2020. As my conscience is crystal clear, I care a foot for all that yellow journalism trash. The old adage, “when the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser” is so apt for the conduct of these philistines. Even in my first post I had made it amply clear that my response is not to make it Army vs Police but to put facts of the case which none was discussing. It was about seeking truth as there are innocent lives at stake. Everyone including the 5 police officers suspended even before conducting enquiry, deserves justice in a nation whose motto is "satyamev jayate". I respect our Army not necessarily because it is the best, but because it is the last line of defence against our external enemies. While the Army Officers are generally disciplined and well-behaved when they are in their units, a few of them become unruly when freed on leave or otherwise and sometimes they even try to overawe and boss over the local police officials. Police officers generally ignore it by being indulgent to them. But things get stormy when their behaviour become outrightly criminal. But why do they behave like that? Pakistan Army has been ruling Pakistan for much of its existence. Therefore, our Army Officers seem to suffer from a syndrome that is best captured by the Onida TV tagline, “neighbour's envy, owner's pride”, leading to a combination of false sense of entitlement, deprivation and victimhood. As a result, they nurture utter contempt for civil authority, and a few of them indulge in boorishness. While propagandizing themselves as holier-than-thou, they invent all sorts of false victimhood stories to rally against the civil authority. Their false propaganda feeds to👇this kind of caricaturing of all except Army. Since they have been calling the Indian Police all sorts of names, I too can retort back with facts about Army and loss of Indian territory to China, Kargil, etc. But once again, my objective is not to show our Army in poor light or to make it Army Vs Police. Therefore, in spite of extreme provocation I won't venture into those thorny trails. The presiding magistrate, Ope Ibraheem, heard arguments on bail and granted her release despite opposition from the police prosecutor. The court made it clear that she was entitled to bail under the law. However, what followed was brazen assault on due process. After the court granted bail and the sureties, including myself, fulfilled the conditions set by the magistrate, there were immediate efforts and high level conspiracy to frustrate her release. The police prosecutor mobilized Correctional officials, and immediate attempts were made within the system to secure a fake detention or remand order that would override the bail already granted and duely processed. The police sent a contingent of armed policemen to spirit her to prison until members of the Takeitback Movement resisted their efforts In the midst of this, today Tracy collapsed while in custody. Rather than prioritize her health, Correctional officers resisted allowing her to receive proper medical attention. Even after she was admitted to Wuse District Hospital, they arrived with full force to move her to Keffi for profiling. It took the sustained presence and intervention of concerned citizens at the hospital to ensure that she was not forcibly removed and that her medical needs were respected. More troubling still, we discovered indications that her detention documentation had been irregularly processed; it was forged. Such practices point to a deeply disturbing pattern within the Nigeria criminal justice chain, where administrative tools are manipulated to prolong detention and congest Nigerian prisons with largely awaiting trial inmates. I have personally experienced similar circumstances as recently as October 2025. Как выяснили ВЧК-ОГПУ и ББР – это карманный банк Авдоляна, а Гордович фактически его личный финансист. Он знает абсолютно все о скрытых активах и финансах Авдоляна. Гордовича задержали в ночь на 4 марта в аэропорту Пулково при попытке улететь в Турцию. Сегодня Басманный суд избрал ему меру пресечения в виде ареста. Гордович проходит по делу экс-гендиректора МХАТ им.
