I wrote a step-by-step guide to blocking AI bots... from harvesting your site, designed for developers and sysadmins. Over 90% of the sites I’ve reviewed in the last two months have had more requests from bot traffic than humans. AI bots are scraping your site for purposes like: ▶ building models off your data ▶ finding security vulnerabilities in your site ▶ setting up comparisons of your site and data vs your competitors I outline how to: 📍Sort out your AI bot strategy. 📍How to identify and track AI bots hitting your site. 📍What tools should you apply when asking bots not to scrape fails? 📍What immediate steps can you take in your robots.txt file to stop AI bots? ✅ So why is now the time to dig into this? It’s still early days for AI, and there’s a land grab going on for your data. Big tech, startups, and even governments are rushing ahead, and you’re playing without all the information you need. This gets you up to speed fast. Reply with “WTF AI Bots” follow me, and I’ll DM you the guide.show more

I’ve had the pleasure of assisting Michael S. Kim... with his training for the last 18 months or so. Mike has gotten much stronger and gained ~10lbs in this time frame. We’ve had 3 main areas of focus: 1️⃣ Increase size and strength of the fast twitch muscle fibers with pretty traditionial strength training methods 🏋️. Compound lifts, heavy 5 rep sets. 2️⃣ Practice swinging faster with a radar for feedback, both with TheStack and hitting balls with driver. How much of each adjusts based on the time of season 🏌️‍♂️. 3️⃣ Ensure nutrition supports the goal of muscle growth and recovery from golf & training. It is very common for tour players to underfuel and lose weight as the season goes on. They have a very high level of energy expenditure from all of the practice, play, and training, so need a lot of food 🍱. Mike is now much more physically capable of higher speeds than previous years. I expect and hope to see a nice little bump in speed as the season goes on. At this level, a 3-4mph gain in club head speed is enormous, and that is what we are targeting! This training speed of 121mph below will hopefully be 123-125mph in the coming weeks, allowing comfortable 118mph or so on the course in tournament play.show more

Marcus Freeman said, "You can't talk your way into... winning a National Championship. You can't talk your way into being a Hall of Famer...You got to work and you got to constantly focus on improvement." You have to show up and do the work. Your work ethic is something that you can control. • It means competing. • It means committing. • It means showing up consistently. People see success, but they don't see the hard work and preparation it takes. 5 Steps to Improve Your Work Ethic and Focus: 1. Be Intentional About How Your Work - Show up every day with a clear purpose on what you will prepare and why. Think about the quality of your practice, the details, and reflect on where to focus most. This approach ensures your working towards improvement and growth. 2. Show up Committed Every Day - Don't just participate, show up, and commit. It means compete and choose to go above-and-beyond every day. Have a positive attitude and dedicate yourself to what you are doing. When you're focused, present, and engaged that is when growth starts to happen. 3. Be Consistent - You have to be consistent with your habits and work ethic. It means committing to the process of improving and putting in the time. Success doesn't happen overnight, it's the result of consistently showing up and doing the work day in and day out. 4. Prepare Mentally and Physically - This means think about your physical and mental state when you are practicing and when you will perform. Understand what environment allows you to perform your best. Use mindfulness to think about the connection between your mind and body. 5. Create a Plan for When Obstacles Arise - Don’t just imagine the great outcome, visualize what may stop you from reaching it. Prepare for the obstacles. Write them down and plan how you’ll overcome them. This keeps you prepared and resilient when challenges come your way. Takeaway: Talent can you get you into many rooms, but it's your work ethic, focus, and attitude that keep you there. - - - The video comes from Marcus Freeman's interview with Pivot Podcast. A negative polarity trans-equatorial coronal hole is visible on... the Sun and will connect to Earth with its magnetic field and high-speed solar wind in ~5-6 days. The last geoeffective coronal hole high-speed-stream impact we had perfectly lined up with the Venezuela earthquake doublet (M7.2 & M7.2) and the M7.2 earthquake that hit Japan on June 24th... With the last 2 weeks being dominated by intense solar flare activity, Earth's ionosphere and global electric circuit is already very highly charged, which suggests that this CH HSS impact could act as a stronger trigger than normal upon critically stressed faults. That said, the coronal hole isn't very wide, so Earth won't be embedded in its solar wind for long. Initial forecast range for a significant bump in global seismic activity from this would be July 9-14th.show more

a few days late to the party, but 2024... took a few days to reflect on. honestly, i couldn’t decide in a knee jerk how to round it up, but here’s a few things i’ve landed on and want to share in the name of navigating growing up together on here. i spent majority of this year wildly uncomfortable. part of it intentional, knowing real growth and creativity (maybe even freedom) comes from pushing myself out of my comfort zone. i took the most time off the road that i have in 10 years, and had to rewire my brain to not operate from a place of scarcity from that. then sat in the space to try new things, then actually made the jump and did them. shaking in my boots then learning im more capable than i give myself credit for. and checking a few things off the bucket list along the way (see you in arenas and the big red seat in the next month 🤍) uncomfortable getting a year deeper into my 30’s and the self reflection, accountability, and ‘holy shit i’m a real adult now’ epiphanies it demands. *panicking*…then breathing and talking through it. finding deeper gratitude for friendships and therapy. and good skincare. and sleep. uncomfortable in challenging myself to chill with the death grip on fear and settle into a new pace and level of steady love. not dashing during dust storms and enjoying the view even more when it settles. taking a magnifying glass to past patterns, and valuing, even protecting its place in my life. uncomfortable in the juggle of wanting more and wanting less, being the girl on stage and a dog mom, some days feeling new still and others spent precautionary plotting when the glitter won’t be as glittery. so i guess my goal for the year ahead is to try to find some comfort? in the loud and quiet, public and private moments. to still push and seek and want, but find comfort in being uncomfortable. don’t get me wrong, i love a little chaos. i just wonder how it pairs with a little more peace. AND WITH THAT THE 2024 SEASON COM- just kidding. cheers and happy new year let’s vibe.show more

My followers just betting for fun it’s cool but you really can make a living betting sports but it’s not going to be from 1 nights plays or even one weeks plays you need to be in it for the long haul and be very disciplined and what I’m saying seems easy but not that many people can do it and that’s what Sportsbook are counting on is you fucking up not sticking to a simple plan and going off and doing something that you can’t afford to do along with some dumb Same game parlay there offering like it’s a good bet haha. 🚀 Introducing EgoExo Forge - built on top of... Rerun, Gradio, and Hugging Face hub (I’ll be in San Francisco July 21–29 — if you’re into robotics, egocentric AI, large-scale data collection, or just want to chat, DM me!) In my opinion, large-scale, diverse, and high-quality data is still the largest bottleneck for generalized robotics deployment. I believe that some version of imitation learning from human examples will be the most scalable + clean way to train humanoid robots 🤖 (similar to what Tesla did for Full Self Driving). Teleop is too expensive to collect a large enough dataset in a reasonable manner, so passive collection via egocentric (and in certain cases, exocentric) views feels like the right bet. Over the past few months, I've been trying to build out the scaffolding for this and using Rerun as my underlying infrastructure. Data being collected needs to be easily inspectable + time series and rerun provides the right tooling for this. My goal is to first build out a ground truth representative dataset from already existing open source data, generate some reasonable baselines, and then go out and collect my own data that adheres to the defined schema. 🔍 Starting with open-source datasets 1. EgoDex from Apple 2. HOCap from Nvidia and the University of Texas at Dallas 3. Assembly101 from Meta All these different datasets have different sensor configurations + annotations, so my goal with egoexo-forge is to have one consistent labeling scheme + data layout. I built a data pipeline that aligns all of the different datasets in one general schema assuming the COCO133 keypoint layout that allows for exo+ego, ego only, or exo only Since the scaffolding is already there, it becomes MUCH easier to add other datasets. So the next ones that I'll be including are HD-EPIC kitchens dataset, HOT3D, and finally my own personal iPhone + insta360 go collection method. Once I have a diverse variety of datasets, I'll double down on what I believe to be the key algorithms required to make useful data for imitation learning 📊 1. Camera Pose estimation via SLAM/SFM for ego perspective (and automatic calibration for exo) 2. Human pose estimation for both egocentric + exocentric views 3. Metric 3D reconstruction + object tracking I'll be setting up reasonable open-source baselines for each of these to validate that these datasets work, and then finally try to use the generated datasets for some imitation learning via the pi0-lerobot repo I've been working on. I plan on making a blog post + providing more info on all of this in the near future so stay tunedshow more
