I’ve made some adjustments to the snowfall map, shifting totals a bit farther south to better account for areas where the front end snowfall Sunday morning/afternoon will be higher due to increased moisture levels. This would still account for sleet and warm air intrusion around the 5,000-ft level which still may become an issue. That warm layer will cut into some late storm accumulations once the dry air is overcome. 🔹 Coastal Monmouth & Ocean Counties I now expect at least 6" in eastern Monmouth, with max potentials up to 10". This is the assumption of sleet mixing. 🔹 Long Island Included in the 6–10" range, with some mixing limiting higher totals in spots. 🔹 NYC & Northern Long Island The most common snowfall totals will be a 10–15" range which is not uniform across the entire area. Some locations will fall short due to brief mixing. 🔹 Snow Max Zone The highest potential remains over northern NJ, the Lower Hudson Valley, and southwest CT, where: • Snow ratios will be higher • Frontogenesis banding is most likely • Lift will be strongest ➡️ Snowfall max potential: up to 18" in this corridor. I'm going to tell you all a story. Back... in November 2023, I attended the San Francisco Fan Expo. I was right in the middle of finishing all of my finals for San Francisco State University in order to graduate, but I wanted to go to the event to say hello to Tony Todd in person and congratulate him on his outstanding performance as Venom in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. I was already lucky enough to briefly say hi to him during San Diego Comic-Con 2023, but it was in passing amongst a massive crowd of people and I barely had enough time to introduce myself. The moment I walked up to him at Fan Expo, he immediately remembered me from our brief interaction prior, already knew my name, and asked how I was doing in school. I was able to talk with him one-on-one for multiple days during the event, geek out about our favorite shared nerd culture, gift him with a Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Venom fan art print, and learn firsthand just how much he loved his work, his family, and all of his fans. During Fan Expo, there was a Q&A panel for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 which I was in attendance for. Tony & Nadji were able to answer several questions from fans about the game. When I walked up to the panel's microphone, my question in particular was about where they would like to see Miles & Venom go next within the Marvel's Spider-Man universe. Tony clearly adored the games, essentially said that he would love to see Venom "travel the world", and that he would want to keep playing the character forever. After I thanked them both for answering my question, Tony said something to me in front of everybody attending the panel that will stick with me for the rest of my life: "Everybody keep your eyes on this young man right here. He'll be working for Marvel someday." Tony's unfathomable kindness and warmth not only inspired me to graduate Magna Cum Laude from San Francisco State University, but they also furthered my drive to pursue my dreams within the industry. I am utterly gutted and heartbroken to hear about his passing. I genuinely feel like I've lost a close friend. But, above everything else, I am eternally grateful for everything that he has done for the entire Spider-Man community, as well as pouring his heart and soul into his craft which went on to inspire so many others. Just wrapping up my 3rd annual 1:1 trip with... my kid, what an incredible year. Tokyo and Shanghai. He planned the whole trip end to end himself, including the wrench he threw in ~4 hours out that we were going to go with completely empty suitcases, so we flew into Tokyo with just the clothes on our backs. Tokyo was amazing as always and we had no real agenda, we wandered around, bought clothes for the trip, ate Tsukemen every day, walked like 10km+/day, spent an evening at a Japanese version of a pc bang, and generally just enjoyed the city. Shanghai was totally different, his entire trip was centred around wanting to go see The International (TI15). We had camped out at midnight and tried to scoop tickets and they sold out in like 0.1s, and there was 0 reselling allowed. We tried literally everything we could to get them, emailed teams, coaches, announcers, everything and just like no luck for 2 months leading up to the trip. Two people responded SirActionSlacks and Will, and man were they amazing. Both went way out of their way to make the event incredible and to make a 12 year old loves dota have the time of his life. We met up with his friend who was also in Shanghai and just spent 4 days watching dota 15 hours a day in the arena lol. The event was insane, production quality A+, and it was one of the most insane TI finals of all time. Luckily we got to sneak in some time around Shanghai and wandered into some awesome dumpling shops, but ultimately the trip was amazing and he says the best he’s ever had of the 3. By far the best thing I do every year, and would highly recommend to any parent who has the opportunity.show more

Round 2 of #Spidermanbrandnewday at #ScreenX , INOX Megaplex,... Phoenix Mall of Asia, Bengaluru!! The first ever movie which is SHOT FOR SCREENX!!! As a fan of this format, I went for this with high expectations. And TBH it didn’t disappoint a bit. The properly shot horizontal expanded aspect ratio sequences, looked fantastic and there is a lot of it. The cityscape of NewYork where the webslinger swings through and action sequences looked spectacular in ScreenX. Another thing I noticed was how much sharper the side projections looked. Usually, they’re heavily blurred with obvious CGI extensions, but here they felt far more natural and immersive. They’re still slightly softer than the main screen - which is intentional to mimic our peripheral vision - but this is easily one of the best implementations of the format so far. My only gripe was that the presentation looked noticeably dimmer than my morning 3D show at PXL. Not sure if that’s due to some projector calibration issue. To say this has been a month no one... ever imagines is possible in life is an understatement Late June… we find out my wife’s father has the same version of lung cancer she has been fighting/beating and that he can’t handle treatment so he only has weeks to live. At the same time, we find out her cancer is back in her hip socket. Better than in 7 spots like before but still, back. So, the oncologist determines 5 rounds of radiation starting July 20th July 4th comes around and we spend as much time as we can with her dad, traveling down to Delaware every week, sitting on the porch, letting him smoke and talk about anything and everything.. telling us “In 75 years they’re still going to be talking about me.. you know why? Because of how I was always smoking in the alley, in the alley (in his best singing voice)” July 10th, phone rings around 9am… we already knew why.. dad was gone. Quietly, peacefully, at home. But still gone, from the exact cancer she just beat. A complete mindfuck. No way to explain, no explanations, just gone. She asks herself why could she beat it and he couldn’t even handle treatment? Some things, we will never know the why to. Fast forward to today. She completes her 5th radiation session on her hip and get to ring the bell as a sign of completion. But, it’s not the same. She used to call dad right after every session to let him know how it went. But today, there was no call.
