🎬New Play As Me marketing video just dropped! We’ve... taken things in a slightly more adventurous direction this time. A regular dog goes into the clone machine and an Indiana Jones-style explorer comes out. Think dusty trails, hidden treasures, and a brave, good boy hunting for the bone of a long-lost pharaoh! That’s the idea behind Play As Me. Your pet isn’t just a pet anymore - they can be the hero of their own story. Explorer. Warrior. Secret Agent. Whatever you imagine, you can play it. Got a dog? A cat? Something more exotic? You’ll be able to turn them into a 3D playable avatar too. Powered by $A1X.show more

While learning Unreal Engine 5, I decided to port... over most of Hyperion to it to see if I could potentially move my workflows over to UE5. Although it worked decently well, it didn't work well enough to allow me to change over entirely. Hyperion is simply too complex of an asset for real-time workflows (or at least is limited due to my knowledge of said workflows). 131 4K-8K UDIMs at over 8 channels and a solid amount of shaders with layering being the biggest bottleneck. I couldn't even match the shading setup to what I have in RenderMan, UE gave me a warning that the material was too complex. I was using the new Substrate materials, which mimic RenderMan LAMA shaders. The render below is using the pathtracer. As you can see there are some random flickering parts which I couldn't fix during my tests. This render of course doesn't have any displacement either (which Hyperion heavily relies on). I think Unreal Engine has a very bright future, but it is still limited by todays hardware technology for high end VFX work. Maybe in a few years I will give it another try when hardware improves and the engine becomes a bit more versatile in feature-set.show more

If you think OpenAI Sora is a creative toy... like DALLE, ... think again. Sora is a data-driven physics engine. It is a simulation of many worlds, real or fantastical. The simulator learns intricate rendering, "intuitive" physics, long-horizon reasoning, and semantic grounding, all by some denoising and gradient maths. I won't be surprised if Sora is trained on lots of synthetic data using Unreal Engine 5. It has to be! Let's breakdown the following video. Prompt: "Photorealistic closeup video of two pirate ships battling each other as they sail inside a cup of coffee." - The simulator instantiates two exquisite 3D assets: pirate ships with different decorations. Sora has to solve text-to-3D implicitly in its latent space. - The 3D objects are consistently animated as they sail and avoid each other's paths. - Fluid dynamics of the coffee, even the foams that form around the ships. Fluid simulation is an entire sub-field of computer graphics, which traditionally requires very complex algorithms and equations. - Photorealism, almost like rendering with raytracing. - The simulator takes into account the small size of the cup compared to oceans, and applies tilt-shift photography to give a "minuscule" vibe. - The semantics of the scene does not exist in the real world, but the engine still implements the correct physical rules that we expect. Next up: add more modalities and conditioning, then we have a full data-driven UE that will replace all the hand-engineered graphics pipelines.show more

$KNDX 🤖 Theres 3 big narratives that are sending... coins left right and centre rn. 🚀 #AI, #Gamefi, & #NFTs 🔹Theres 50% mindshare for #AI. 🤖 🔹#GameFi mcap is hitting ATH's with #OfftheGrid, $XBG and $SUPER making spectacular moves. 🎮 🔹NFTs and the #Metaverse are making a strong comeback with $APE up 100% over the weekend. 🐵 What if there's a project that touches all these trending narratives with groundbreaking technology to disrupt all 3 of them? 🔥 💡- That's where $KNDX comes in. -💡 Kondux is a cutting-edge Web3 SaaS platform, combining NVIDIA’s Omniverse, AI, Blockchain, and dynamic NFTs to revolutionize secure asset management across industries. 👏 Their flagship product, kNFTs, are 3D digital assets usable across Metaverse and Gaming platforms, AR/VR/XR environments, and manufacturing applications. Kondux’s scalable model opens new revenue streams by enabling effective digital asset monetization. 💰 Kondux is the first Web3 project to integrate VFX pipelines with NVIDIA’s Omniverse and bringing it onto the Blockchain. ⛓️ It is also the only Web3 project with a *Select Status Partnership* with NVIDIA, operating under NVIDIA NDAs and working with them directly for more than 2 years. About their NVIDIA Integrations: 🤖 🔹There are three areas of the Kondux tech stack that coincide with three divisions of NVIDIA: 📡GDN (Graphics Delivery Network, the backbone of GeForce Now) 💡Omniverse for 3D aspects such as, geospatial data, real world physics, lighting, and raytracing 🤖NVIDIA AI Foundation, which covers many aspects of #AI, including inference and deployment scaling. The convergence of all these components lie within .USD file format . 🔹 They are the first blockchain project to integrate NVIDIA’s Omniverse Cloud and Graphics Delivery Network (GDN) to provide high-quality 3D content accessible on any device without requiring high-end hardware. 🔹 This setup streamlines content management, democratises access to resource-intensive 3D content, and enables real-time interaction with 3D NFTs. Now, I haven’t seen any crypto project so deeply connected with NVIDIA and NVIDIA technology. GDN is a HUGE competitive advantage. With it, the need for #GPU’s basically goes out the window. 🤯 Now lets take a look at some of the other main features... 👀 OpenUSD (Universal Scene Description): 📽️ 🔹 Kondux is leveraging USD technology, developed by Pixar and used by Meta, Apple, Microsoft and other industry leaders to enhance 3D graphics and interoperability within its creative ecosystem. 🔹 Originally created for high-end film production, USD now supports a variety of applications, including gaming and virtual reality, making it a key asset for Kondux. kNFT's: 🎨 🔹 Kondux is pioneering a new category of NFTs known as kNFTs, which aim to redefine NFT utility through innovative features. 🔹 A standout feature is the upgradeable aspect provided by Kondux DNA, allowing kNFTs to transform and combine with other NFTs, creating limitless possibilities in art, gaming, and music. 🔹Through the Kondux AI portal it will be possible to communicate with kNFTs. They can learn and adapt. This AI technology is revolutionary because it makes human to kNFT interaction possible, turning it into a unique, personalized experience. Check out the clip of kNFTs in Unreal Engine 5 gameplay below. 👇 Kondux is a very obvious utility play with huge upside because it’s multi narrative. 📈 It's seriously groundbreaking stuff that they’re about to launch. 🚀 After speaking with the team there’s no doubt in my mind this will do crazy big numbers in the next months. 🤑show more

Thank you Centre Pompidou Centre Pompidou, everyone who made... Nature Manifesto happen, and all the people that took it in. We were happy to see the conversations that the use of AI in Nature Manifesto sparked !! Below is a message from Björk: ~~~ “ the flood of all things from AI is overwhelming !! i am super grateful for your concerns about it´s effects on the environment , it shows you care , are curious and have integrity . i am curious too , i would like to be more informed about the difference of "frugal" AI and the ones that do hugeenvironmental damage and want to be able to choose . i asked around and found out that both the visuals and the audio in our pompidou project were done with "frugal" AI . but i have a lot to learn . when we used some of the AI softwares to merge the animals voices to mine , some of the sounds were great but to be honest , the best blends of their voices and a human were done "manually" , me editing the sounds , choosing piece by piece , looking for personality , musicality and soul . with new technology , i try to use it as a tool to grow , not a crutch . for example when i used melodyne , i used it not for lazy voice progressions but spent even more time when using it . every note in every chord became intentionally more complex . ( for example choir in "thunderbolt" ) and hopefully stretched the potential more out , further than i would have in "normal analog" physical improvisations ... i felt with this new tool i could reach new places in my musical DNA , become MORE personal . more myself . in my opinion , this is how we will work in the future . humans can read emotions on an incredibly high scale . nature made us that way . if there is no soul in tomorrow's music made by AI it is because no-one put it there and we have to speak out and guard this as listeners . ( tbh there is a lot of soulless muzak on spotify already ... they don’t need any AI help for that ...) anything that is mass manufactured without the attention of creativity , is that way . AI or not so it is not about the tool it is what you do with it . " ~~~ The visuals for Nature Manifesto were crafted by the talented Sam Balfus, artificial intelligence being one of the multiple tools used in the process. The sound was produced in collaboration with artist Robin Meier and IRCAM IRCAM. There's something about design that truly makes me happy.... Before I was diagnosed with a complete SCI, I loved building thing with my hands and trying to make them unique and beautiful. The accident didn't just take my mobility, it robbed me of my creative drive. I didn't I would ever get that back that was up until Neuralink came into the picture. I was very serious about applying but just couldn't bring myself to do it. Then Noland Arbaugh comes into the picture and I see his video and I saw how passionate he was toward the whole ide and that was like a switch. I want to thank Noland because if I hadn't seen that video I wouldn't be typing this message with my thoughts. So the day I gained control of the device I had the guys install Autodesk Fusion and the first night I had my first part designed by BCI. I have been designing things non-stop since. Now lets talk tools and the first one is the ArcDroid it is a CNC robot that holds a plasma torch and can cut profiles in sheet metal. I have made numerous signs, letters and parts with this and i love it. I have also had the chance to help the local high school install and setup their CNC plasma table. I love being able to share my knowledge with others and show new technology to kids that want to learn. The next one everybody is more familiar with is the Bambu Lab X1C. It is my first 3D printer and I had no idea how dang handy these things were! I can go from thought, Neuralink, Fusion, X1C and poof! You have your part all in a matter of like a hour. I make everything from parts for my wheelchair or RC ✈ to toys for my nephew. These devices have completely changed my life. I now have my creative outlet back and I'm not done looking for new things to try. I'm thinking a laser next!!!😎 Thank you Elon Musk for the opportunity to showcase my skills, I'm extremely grateful🙏show more

Axie started in 2018. Creatures you could collect, battle,... and raise while learning about a magical new technology called blockchain. Part of the original concept were axie homes called Terrariums. Places where your axies could live, get stronger, and harvest resources. Battles ended up getting prioritized instead, and Terrariums got shelved. But for eight years, that original idea held a special place in our hearts. Terrariums are a nod to that original dream. We're hard at work and our goal is to deliver the first version in late June. Here's how they'll work on day one: 1. You activate a plot of land. 2. You put your axies on it. 3. Every hour, the world ticks forward on its own. While you're away, your land is working. 4. It earns a reward called bAXS, the in-game currency that feeds back into the broader Axie economy. 5. To stay running, your land burns a fuel called Lunium. You get it two ways: buy packs, or let your land generate it slowly for free. 6. How much you earn scales with your axie power, a stat currently called Atia's Flame. Stronger (collectible) axies earn more points. More points means a bigger share of the prize pool. 7. Each land type has its own pool, split between everyone who owns that type. 8. There will be free terrariums that can be used to earn axie experience points (but not bAXS). These should also be useful for onboarding newcomers. The day-to-day is simple by design as we want to make sure that the gameplay is easy to grasp at first and doesn't become a grind for landowners. I learned this the hard way: do NOT use... SwiftUI if you want your app to look and feel amazing. At least when coding with AI. (sorry, Apple colleagues reading this 😅) I'm sharing my process vibe coding this calorie tracker. I get a lot of questions about the fluid transition in the video. Here's the whole story. Initially, Claude built the grid with SwiftUI. It was quick and easy, and looked good! But the transition to the day view was a boring navigation push/pop. No fun. I wanted something custom. I asked Claude to make it a fluid transition that remaps the food tiles from their source to destination positions. All hell broke loose. Claude tried a bunch of horrible things. Initially it used matched geometry effects, which worked OK but didn't lend themselves well to gesture-driven animations. So it resorted to SwiftUI preference keys + geometry readers to figure out the source and destination positions and calculate the interpolated position based on gesture progress, coordinating across grid and day views. But this meant it had to write a custom layout because it couldn't reposition tiles inside the native SwiftUI grid. And it had to do an awkward handoff between views, which always created ugly pops or jumps. And don't get me started on trying to put it on a bouncy spring, that only made the math 10x buggier. Fortunately, Claude Fable was smart enough to see that this was becoming a disaster (and discover most of the issues itself, in the simulator), so it pivoted away from SwiftUI. Opus might not be so wise, so you'll have to pay attention and intervene. Ultimately, it rewrote it in plain UIKit and everything turned out great. After that, we moved from 2D images to 3D assets, which introduced a new set of performance challenges and yet another rewrite to a single Metal layer, which is what you see below. I can write more about the 2D-to-3D saga if anyone's interested. If I were to do it again, I'd just say "Don't use SwiftUI" from the very first prompt, and save a few hours of headaches. SwiftUI can be amazing for a human iterating directly in code. But agents don't benefit from any of its advantages. Plus, agents have seen decades of UIKit training data, so they're great at writing it, and it's far more flexible. Here's hoping we see more agent-friendly iterations of SwiftUI in the future. Till then, I'm probably going to avoid it.show more

🚨 A MAJOR BARRIER TO TURNING CO₂ INTO USEFUL... FUEL MAY HAVE JUST FALLEN. Scientists have developed a new catalyst that triples methanol production while solving a decades-old chemistry trade-off. For years, researchers trying to turn carbon dioxide into methanol (a valuable fuel and chemical feedstock) have faced an annoying trade-off: at lower temperatures the reaction is more efficient, but CO₂ is hard to activate. Raise the temperature to speed things up, and you get more unwanted carbon monoxide instead of methanol. A team at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics has now broken this deadlock. By redesigning the catalyst so that different reaction steps happen on spatially separated active sites, they achieved a space-time yield of 1.2 g of methanol per gram of catalyst per hour roughly three times higher than standard commercial Cu/Zn/Al catalysts. Why this matters: • Methanol from CO₂ is seen as a key route for carbon recycling and producing sustainable fuels and chemicals • The new design dramatically improves both activity and selectivity at the same time • It reduces the formation of carbon monoxide byproduct while keeping hydrogen dissociation efficient • This kind of catalyst improvement is essential if we want CO₂-to-fuel processes to become economically viable at scale The deeper implication: Converting CO₂ into useful products has always been limited by fundamental chemistry trade-offs. By cleverly separating reaction steps across different parts of the catalyst, this work shows we can overcome those limitations without needing extreme conditions or exotic materials. It’s a practical step toward making carbon capture and utilization more efficient turning one of our biggest waste products into something valuable instead of just burying it. We’re getting closer to catalysts that don’t force us to choose between speed and cleanliness. How important do you think breakthroughs like this will be for scaling up carbon-to-fuel technologies in the coming years? Follow for more frontier chemistry, catalysis, and carbon utilization research.show more

Monthly WINR Protocol Development Update: To begin with, the... WINR Protocol has distributed $900,000 to token holders, generated more than $500,000 in pure profit for liquidity providers on WLP, acquired more than 5,000 users, and has almost 9% of the supply burned. In the upcoming months, the WINR Protocol, which has been in production for years, will introduce a range of new products and deployments. These developments will represent the practical and technical evolution to V2 of the protocol. Here are the latest updates and further details as they progress: Progress on WINR Bonanza, Casino Hold'em, and Blackjack is nearing completion. These games are in the final stages of testing. Additional games, including a new type of crash game, have been finalized and are set to debut with the JustBet v2 launch. Take a look at the gameplay videos for a preview. These games achieve the long-term goal of providing a full-suite WINR Game Engine SDK, which can be used to build games with complex logic on-chain with modular smart contract infrastructure. For example, any grid slot game that dominates the iGaming industry could easily be developed on-chain using the WINR Bonanza SDK. - Permissionless Frontend Operator SDK Dashboard Release: March is poised to be a milestone month with the launch of the Frontend Operator SDK dashboards. These dashboards will enable any WINR Labs game to be seamlessly deployed on frontends, marking a significant advancement in protocol accessibility and integration for future games developed by independent iGaming developers. The frontend operator can deploy any game they choose through a few simple steps while utilizing 10,000 WINR per game via the WINR Game Factory smart contract. Each operator is assigned a unique smart contract address(es) for every game they deploy, allowing their revenue to be tracked independently. The deployment process includes instructions on integrating the game as a package into the operator's frontend. In subsequent phases, the games will transition through WINR Chain, streamlining user onboarding steps like wallet connection and token bridging to Arbitrum. This abstraction will make it easy for any web2/web3 platform on any chain to seamlessly integrate WINR-based games with just a few clicks. The new budget system changes how the revenue is calculated on the protocol and will see daylight with frontend operator, Solana, and Fantom deployments. This model was first tested with a lightweight version on and gave a lot of actionable feedback. Shifting from the existing bribe model, which in practice distributes almost half of the edge of the games in volume to WINR holders, the brand-new budget system checks the profitability of WLP. It distributes a larger part of the profit to game providers, frontend operators, and, most importantly, WINR holders. Any time a game's budget is in profit, a part of every loss is distributed to stakeholders. Here is an example: 1. The WINR Bonanza Game has a 10,000 budget for a frontend operator. 2. Let's assume the bet amount was $50, and Bonanza paid back $10 on that spin. That leaves $40 of pure profit. 3. This is distributed amongst 50% to WLP, 20% to frontend operators, 20% to WINR holders, and 10% to game providers. 4. To achieve this, V2 of WINR Liquidity Engine (WLP) will have a buffer for purchasing and selling, working in epochs to determine the above distribution and math. - Solana Deployment and Expansions: Solana audits are in their final phase, and frontend tests are ongoing. Solana launch will be alongside the V2 launch of @JustBetOfficial, with a chain switch available on the top bar. The VRF system WINR developed already is seeing requests from builders around the Solana ecosystem, and this will over time add an extra layer of income to the protocol. Solana's bankroll, at first, will be a lighter version of WLP but will inherit the above-mentioned budgeting system to generate income immediately upon launch. - Fantom Deployment and Expansions: Fantom's upcoming Sonic upgrade, with its 200ms finality and fast block production is a perfect chain for WINR Protocol to expand. Through the partnership with WINR Protocol will tap into a brand new user base on Fantom. The bankroll on Fantom will consist of FTM and stables. The launch is planned for late March or early April. This expansion aims to open up new markets and collaborations with fresh teams. which operates independently, will integrate a broad spectrum of WINR technologies, including WINR Account Abstraction, WINR VRF, and WINR games, marking a pivotal step in WINR Protocol’s journey of horizontal expansion. - XAI VRF Deployment Progress Update: The WINR Account Abstraction Wallet and WINR Verifiable Random Function (VRF) deployment on the XAI 🎮⛓️ is well underway, with the majority of the work completed. This step forward showcases WINR's expansion beyond gambling and trading, highlighting the protocol's adaptability and commitment to broadening decentralized services. The process to automize and permissionlessly let game developers start using WINR VRF by paying (and burning) fees in WINR will launch alongside WINR VRF deployment on XAI and expand to further chains to help DApp builders with the tooling they need. This process will work very similarly to frontend operators, where DApp builders will be able to easily deploy their VRF contract, pay the WINR fees, and enjoy the fastest random number generation transaction, as showcased on @JustBetOfficial for some time. - JustBet v2 Development Update: Set to launch in March, the last testing phase with long-time community members of JustBet V2 is underway.
