My "Light Propagation Volume" plugin for #UE5 is now... featuring Cascades system! It adds much longer light bounce distances, than what could be previously seen in the UE4's LPV implementation. Still some work to do, performance-wise as well :) But it's shaping up very nicely.show more

Also implemented some simplistic "real-time GI" that works in... both lighting and the froxel fog. It's similar to Crytek's LPV in spirit (as it propagates SH in a volume), but does it via downsampling (like you do for bloom)...show more

I am planning to release it by the end of September. I revisited my #UE5 blackhole project recently. Updated the... lighting. Before the light was only coming from the photon sphere around the event horizon. Now, in addition to that, I've added light coming from the gas itself, which gives it a much more realistic appearance. More screenshots in thread.show more

well, didn't die, but i kinda almost did. kinda... scary and it was my first real "wtf I'm not invincible" moment. it honestly messed my head up, I'm still processing it and kinda depressed about it. today was my first day being able to do anything physical at all. I walked for 30 minutes on a treadmill. tomorrow I'll try some very light compound lifts just for movements sake. I'm not ready for anything heavy or a BJJ workout yet. i quit smoking and vaping, but now I'm addicted to zyn. at least my lungs work again though. thanks for all the well wishes and the check ups from my friends here and tiktok 🤙🏻show more
