A small fix bladed knife is an excellent addition... to a pistol. Having it where you can access it with both hands is a lesson I learned the first time I had to fight in kit. The purpose is to get back to your pistol or make space so you can draw if someone is on top of you. Keeping it in a comfortable location will make you less likely to leave it at home, it doesn’t need to be a Bowie, just big enough to suit the role.show more

This is a too rude for TV gag that... was in my first special years ago but I was never happy with the recording of it. I slightly fluffed pronouncing the word ‘orchid’ and telegraphed the punchline. It still worked as its a good gag but it could’ve been better. So rerecorded last week in Norwich to set the record straight Orchid is the pivot word. It has to be pronounced in the listener’s story one time frame or it telegraphs the gag. That doesn’t matter if the pivot is also the reveal word ie at the end of the joke but it matters a lot when its in the middle.
