My MTSDF generator is ready, built in Rust. The... output is highly optimized and plugs directly into my WebGPU engine, using instanced glyphs. Text now aligns perfectly between canvas and HTML, whatever the font used, with accurate position, letter spacing and line height. 🦀 Next step is a particles module: simulation, point cloud, gaussian splatting. 🫧show more

HTML enters 3D! Or vice versa? With the new... HTML in Canvas by WICG, we can finally put native DOM elements directly into WebGL/WebGPU scenes. It is experimental for now, but the possibilities for 3D interfaces and special effects are huge. This demo was built using Three.js and Omma AI (tool by Spline ) It’s a fun new way to explore what the web can do! Are you interested in seeing the demo?show more

A tour of the post-processing features in my WebGPU... engine. Chaining global passes like blur, bloom, and pixelate, on top of a disturb pipeline with its own options: distortion, black and white, lighten, darken, noise, RGB split, and more. It also supports layer and plane UV isolation. Planes can have optional shadows and rounded borders. Behind-the-scenes split view shows the raw pass vs final composite. Built from scratch with the WebGPU JavaScript API. Lightweight, minimal code, 0 dependencies, modular custom components 🧩. Next, vertex work and finish the MTSDF generator I’m building in Rust. ✨show more

Under the hood of every gaussian splat lives a... point cloud - what this mean is we can do some really cool things! With points and particles being so relative - you can actually treat them as if they were the same. Here we're using INSYDIUM X-Particles to drive a nexus particle simulation from the millions of splat points directly. This opens the doors to tons of creative opportunities for splats via XP with the full stack of modifiers and controls to take your splat assets to the next level! Save this for the next time your typography feels... weird and you can’t explain why. Nine times out of ten, it’s line-height - the vertical space between lines of text that decides whether type feels confident or clumsy, readable or tiring. Headlines Compress them. ~1.05–1.25 is usually right. Headlines aren’t meant to be read carefully line by line. They’re meant to land as a shape. Tighter leading pulls words into a single visual block and makes the headline feel confident and intentional. One hard rule: ascenders and descenders should never touch. If your t’s and l’s are colliding with g’s and y’s, you’ve gone too far. Body text Do the opposite. Give it air. ~1.4–1.7, depending on the typeface, its x-height, and the line length. Body text is about endurance. Your reader shouldn’t notice the typography at all. If they’re aware of the type, something’s off. The goal is that they just keep going, paragraph after paragraph, without friction. In Framer, you can find the Line-height settings in the Text Panel > Line. And yes, this applies even if you’re using the same font for headlines and body text! Same font, same page, but they have completely different jobs - and different line height. Sometimes, choosing a good type isn’t enough - you need to know how much space to give letters so they can do their work.show more

Seems like a good opportunity to share a trick... I used on the React Aria website to make headings scale to fit the viewport on mobile, even with SSR. I used fontkit, a library I wrote 10 years ago to parse fonts and layout glyphs, to measure the width of the heading at build time in the "em" unit. width = font.layout('DateRangePicker').advanceWidth / font.unitsPerEm This is a size independent measurement using the font's internal metrics. When multiplied by any font size, you get the pixel width of the text. To calculate the font size, set this as a CSS variable and divide the target width (100vw minus padding). Clamp to make sure it doesn't get too big or small. font-size: clamp(35px, (100vw - 32px) / var(--text-width), 55px) And tada! You have perfectly scaling text no matter the viewport size. 🎉show more

System identification (sysid) is the process of finding the... physical parameters that make a simulation match reality. If you're training an RL locomotion policy in simulation, the accuracy of your motor model directly affects how well the policy transfers to the real robot. A recent git commit by Kevin Zakka added a sysid toolbox to MuJoCo which automates this process: you provide recorded motor data and a MuJoCo model, and it optimizes the model parameters to minimize the difference between simulated and real trajectories. For my RobStride Dynamics RS02 QDD motors (17 Nm peak, 7.75:1 gear), I built a Rust tool that sends multi-sine torque excitation at 1 kHz and records position/velocity feedback. I then feed this data into MuJoCo's sysid optimizer.show more

HOLY MOLY running a 35B model locally on a... MacBook shouldn’t be THIS FAST 🤯 Spent my weekend in atomic.chat testing Qwen 35B vs. Qwen 27B on my local machine. I had them generate a fully animated HTML/Canvas car mini-game (demo below), ... and both models breezed through the physics and parallax scrolling without a hitch! The secret sauce here is the Atomic Chat app. Because it's perfectly optimized for Mac and uses Google's new TurboQuant under the hood, you can run heavy open-source models flawlessly while keeping top-tier output quality 👊 Other perks: → ZERO setup required → Access 1,000+ models completely free → 100% offline and private → Zero API limits ... and MUCH more! I dropped the prompt I used in the 🧵↓ Spin it up locally and let me know what you get!show more

By Thursday, we will be announcing Phase IV of... the Health Insurance for vulnerable citizens in Kaduna. The figure takes us to over 1, 000 in partnership with KACHMA. I missed being in the office. In the next few weeks, I will state my position politically. I owe the public that. I always state whatever I do through my handles. I was with my father for a few hours and he is fine with me running. As God is my witness, and on behalf of the excellent people Kaduna North, I will be running for office in 2027, if alive. We will still focus on the job we were elected to do, and there are a few leaders, Northern Statesmen and fathers that I have to speak to. My position is peculiar. But I have tried to handle with honour and dignity. My wife and I have decided this is the right course. And my people are with me, on social media and offline. I have never feared an election for a day. But it is the right of anyone to try. Respect that right knowing my record speaks for me. Thank you.show more

HAVZTEZ LLC equipment is leaving the company to be... exhibited at the MSITF-2025 exhibition organized by the Defense Industry Agency under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will be held from May 29 to July 1 (Victory Park, Tashkent). ARSLON, TQARLON-M, and TO'FON 155/52 self-propelled guns. The video also shows a covered modernized T-64B tank, which will be the “star” of the exhibition. The main focus of the modernization is the replacement of the 5TDF engine with a new 950-horsepower Doosan DP222LC. The Doosan DP222LC is mainly used in generator sets and is optimized for long-term operation at fixed speeds. The engine is commercially available and has proven itself well, but how it will perform in a tank remains to be seen. It is clear that replacing the BKP with an electric transmission is a logical step. Considering that the 5TDF cannot be repaired in Uzbekistan, stocks are clearly running out, and for obvious reasons it is not possible to replace it with a modern 6TDF, the result of this re-engining option is very interesting. So, it is not worth criticizing the Uzbek project in advance, especially since the ARSLON 8X8 and ARSLON 6X6 projects are quite up to par.show more

The New Jerusalem, the dwelling place of the righteous... after the Apocalypse, is described as measuring 12,000 stadia. That equals roughly 1,500 miles (2,400 km) in length, width, and height. If compared with the continents, it would stretch roughly from New York to Texas, or across much of Europe. The New Jerusalem is described as a golden cube, symbolizing the alchemical process of purifying the soul and transforming ore into gold, or the black cube into gold. It is the dwelling place of God, where Enoch also walks. I made a simulation showing the size of the cube, but in my opinion, the New Jerusalem is a spiritual place.show more

Kling 3.0 is out but Sora 2 is still... the GOAT when it comes to AI UGC 🤯 And this custom GPT turns your sh*tty Sora 2 prompts into scroll-stopping UGC 🤯 Tell it your product --> get a timeline-based prompt with shot composition, camera angles, lighting, and timing breakdowns. Copy, paste, generate. Perfect for DTC brands and agencies who are tired of AI video output that looks like garbage. Here's the problem: Most people prompt Sora 2 like "make a UGC video of someone using my skincare product" and wonder why the output is unusable. Sora 2 needs hyper-specific instructions—shot type, lighting, scene details, timing cues. Without that, you get slop. This GPT fixes it: → Input your product (supplement, skincare, SaaS, whatever) → It generates a detailed Sora 2 prompt with full scene breakdown → Includes shot composition, camera movement, and timing → Optimized for 9:16 TikTok/Reels format → Copy directly into Sora 2 and generate No 80,000 word "prompting frameworks", just results. What you get: > Professional UGC prompts in 10 seconds > Consistent output quality every time > Prompts built for vertical video formats > Works for any product type Want free access to the Sora 2 Prompt Generator GPT? > Like this post > Comment "UGC" And I'll send it over (must be following so I can DM)show more

I always wondered "What if I port my three.js... game to Rust? Will it improve performance?" I finally ported it to both Rust Desktop and Rust WASM (that runs on the browser) Comparing the three.js version with the Rust desktop I had a clear winner: Rust desktop. But now I took the time to port it to the web using Web Assembly (WASM) And my conclusion is... A tie! Both versions averaged 42FPS (60FPS if running one at a time) So if your goal is to ship a web game, it doesn't even matter the tech you use. (Three.js is recommended because the ecossystem is huge though) As long you optmize well (Web workers, reduce triangles, draw calls, etc) you should be good to go. But in the event you want to ship a native game to publish on Steam a system language (Rust, C++, etc) will be better for you. Now I want to port the three.js game to Desktop using Electron and see the results. I'll let you know. Btw, I'm open to new freelance projects. If you have anything for me, my DMs are open!show more

What is coming out of Iran is not just... brutality. It is the importation of battlefield violence into city streets by men who have done this before. The videos now circulating show armed men firing on unarmed civilians without distinction. In some clips, shooters sprint while firing automatic rifles. In others, men stand upright on a moving motorbike and fire handguns. There are also scenes of heavy weapons mounted on pickup trucks, with armed men standing in the back and firing into streets and crowds. What stands out is not only the firepower, but the method and the mindset. This is not crowd-control policing. It is combat-style action: coordinated movement, practiced weapon handling, and lethal force used without hesitation. These are men who have killed before, repeatedly, in war zones, and they are used to it. For years, the IRGC’s Quds Force built proxy forces across the region—recruiting, funding, training, and deploying fighters into war zones in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. Now the regime is bringing those same proxies home and using them inside Iran. In plain terms, it has imported the habits of foreign battlefields and turned Iranian cities into killing grounds.show more
