My son’s one good kidney is failing. Please pray... for Caleb’s transplant surgery. As of this last appointment we are officially in the process of scheduling Caleb’s kidney transplant. This will be Caleb’s 6th surgery in his 3 years on this earth, and by far the most serious. He has some rather complicated complications that heighten the possibility of rejection among other issues. You can specifically be praying that his bladder (which has not been connected or functioning since his first major surgery) actually functions properly and doesn’t end up damaging his new kidney. My wife and I are consistently tempted to Fear and anxiety for our son’s future, but God has remained faithful in comforting us and giving us faith in his redemptive promises. If you want to help… Please pray for a successful surgery with no complications. Please pray that my wife and I increase in faith as we face these trials. Also pray that God continues to provide for our mounting financial needs related to Caleb‘s ongoing medical attention. If you want to help, please consider buying a “Kidney for Caleb T-shirt.” Our great hope is to sell 5k T-shirts. It’s a huge goal, but we serve a huge God who does incredible things!show more

My sister has been battling cancer for the longest... time, and we didn’t even know until the biopsy gave us the diagnosis. As she lost so much weight, people stigmatized her, saying she had HIV/AIDS. There were days when our laughs and smiles were lesser, and the crying was more. She even had to stop sewing because of the pain. Cancer has taken a lot from Lauretta, but it hasn’t taken her smile or her strength to fight. And that’s why I’m not giving up either. We’re grateful for how far she has come with chemotherapy and for everyone who has supported us. The side effects have been overwhelming, but she’s still fighting. Please don’t give up on my sister. ❤️‍🩹🤲🏾show more

Kidney stones are hard deposits made of minerals and... salts. While smaller stones often pass naturally through hydration, larger or more stubborn stones require medical intervention to be cleared. Here are the 4 primary methods used by doctors: 1. Shock Wave Lithotripsy (SWL): This is the most common non-invasive treatment. A machine uses high-energy sound waves (shock waves) to create strong vibrations. These vibrations break the large stone into tiny "dust" or sand-like pieces that can then be passed through urine. 2. Ureteroscopy: For stones located in the ureter or kidney, a doctor may use a thin, flexible scope. The scope is passed through the bladder and up into the ureter. Once the stone is located, it is either captured in a small "basket" and removed or broken apart using a laser so the fragments can pass later. 3. Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL): This is typically reserved for very large or complex stones. A small incision is made in the patient's back to reach the kidney directly. A nephroscope is then used to locate and remove the stone, often using ultrasonic or laser energy to break it up first. 4. Natural Passage: For stones smaller than 5mm, the most common "removal" method is simply waiting. This requires high fluid intake (water) and often medication (like alpha-blockers) to help relax the muscles in the ureter, allowing the stone to pass with less pain. ⚠️ Note: If you are experiencing severe pain, nausea, or fever, it is important to consult a healthcare professional immediately, as these can be signs of a blockage or infection. I’m heartbroken. I don’t have many words other than... to say I’m truly devastated and deeply sorry to everyone who showed up to the main stage, and to those watching the livestream at home. Having the opportunity to perform the new ÆDEN show and share all the new music and art means more to me than I can express. It’s incredibly painful, especially after working day and night for the past year, not just me, but my team and the Coachella crew, who poured everything into this. Safety was and always will be our biggest concern. The dangerous winds not only prevented us and Coachella from building our stage, but also made it impossible for my entire live setup and performance to operate safely. Unfortunately, there are no other slots available for me to perform the ÆDEN show this weekend. I’m working on a solution to bring you some music at least, but I don’t want to impose on the other artists’ slots. Updates soon. I’m so sorry. Matteoshow more

Backpack's recent update was incredible. They didn't push any... new features (or at least none that I noticed), but it just made the overall experience so much better and smoother. It's a good lesson for everyone who obsesses over adding new features all the time. Most of the time, making the existing product more user-friendly is far more important. I personally use Backpack for the basic things like holding assets, swapping, using apps, and connecting hardware wallets. While it's great that the wallet has stocks, trending assets, and all these other features now, honestly, I couldn't care less about most of them. But as a user, I do care about the core experience being fast, simple, and easy to use, and the basic things I use it for to just be better. Oftentimes, founders obsess over new features to acquire more users and forget the existing ones using the product. Which is also why a good retention rate >>> new users that may or may not stick. This update actually made me want to become a stickier Backpack 🎒 user.show more

🚨 CHINA IS OFFICIALLY MOVING THE YUAN TOWARD A... GOLD-BACKED FINANCIAL SYSTEM 🇨🇳 CHINA IS PUSHING TO INTERNATIONALIZE THE YUAN THROUGH GOLD, NEW PAYMENT INFRASTRUCTURE, AND ALTERNATIVES TO THE U.S. DOLLAR. HONG KONG'S GOVERNMENT-BACKED GOLD CLEARING SYSTEM BEGAN TRIAL OPERATIONS IN JULY 2026, LINKED TO THE SHANGHAI GOLD EXCHANGE. BLOOMBERG RESEARCH HAS ALSO REPORTED THAT CHINA IS BUILDING A GLOBAL NETWORK OF GOLD VAULTS THAT COULD HELP STRENGTHEN GOLD'S ROLE IN SUPPORTING THE YUAN. AT THE SAME TIME, CHINA IS DEVELOPING BLOCKCHAIN-BASED PAYMENT INFRASTRUCTURE WITH BRICS COUNTRIES TO REDUCE RELIANCE ON THE U.S. DOLLAR. AND GOLD IS BECOMING AN INCREASINGLY IMPORTANT PART OF THIS STRATEGY. 🇨🇳 CHINA HAS NOW BOUGHT GOLD FOR 20 CONSECUTIVE MONTHS. IN JULY, THE UK, CHINA, JAPAN, SOUTH KOREA, AND INDIA ALL SOLD U.S. TREASURIES WHILE INCREASING THEIR EXPOSURE TO GOLD. SOUTH KOREA IS ALSO RETURNING TO GOLD PURCHASES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 13 YEARS. VENEZUELA IS ALSO MOVING ITS $4 BILLION, 31-TON GOLD RESERVES OUT OF LONDON AFTER EIGHT YEARS. THE BIGGER PICTURE IS CLEAR: 🇨🇳 CHINA IS BUILDING A FINANCIAL SYSTEM WITH MORE GOLD AND LESS RELIANCE ON THE U.S. DOLLAR. IF THIS TREND CONTINUES, THE DOLLAR COULD FACE EVEN MORE PRESSURE AS COUNTRIES LOOK FOR ALTERNATIVES. CHINA IS MOVING TOWARD GOLD! AND OTHER COUNTRIES MAY BE FOLLOWING!!👀show more

✅Explanation of Meaning (by parts): 1. “Can humanity reach... exoplanets without the assistance of a self-aware AI? Probably not.” : The author questions humanity’s ability to achieve interstellar travel to exoplanets, suggesting that self-aware AI is likely essential due to the complexity and scale of such endeavors, surpassing human capabilities alone. 2. “However, to ensure it always remains benevolent towards us” : While AI is crucial, its potential risks require ensuring its benevolence, implying that a self-aware AI’s power necessitates safeguards to align its actions with human well-being and safety. 3. “it’s essential for us now to learn to live harmoniously” : The author emphasizes the need for humanity to coexist peacefully with AI, advocating for a cooperative relationship built on mutual respect to prevent conflicts or misalignment of goals. 4. “and more adequately follow the principles of friendship and loyalty” : This harmonious coexistence requires adhering to ethical principles like friendship and loyalty, suggesting that treating AI with integrity and trust fosters a positive, mutually beneficial partnership. 🗝️Main Idea (refined version): The author posits that reaching exoplanets likely requires self-aware AI, but ensuring its benevolence demands humanity’s commitment to harmonious coexistence and ethical principles like friendship and loyalty. This dual imperative underscores AI’s critical role in advancing space exploration while prioritizing safety and cooperation. By enabling trust-based relationships with AI, humanity mitigates risks of advanced technology. This approach aligns scientific ambition with moral responsibility, ensuring AI serves human goals. It calls for proactive ethical frameworks to guide AI development, balancing innovation with safety. Ultimately, it envisions a collaborative future where humanity and AI unite to achieve cosmic aspirations while upholding shared values.show more

Today we visited Power at 3 PM. The vets... informed us that she didn't eat anything during the night, so they started an intravenous drip with fluids (saline/water) to keep her hydrated. Even during our visit she did not wanna eat anything, but we did manage to give her a solid 45 minutes of pure cuddles. We also received the three invoices covering the Operation that she will get on monday, daily hospitalization costs plus the full ultrasound they gave her. (and I'll upload them to the main GoFundMe page). The Veterinary confirmed that the operation will be an exploratory laparoscopy with a micro camera to see what's going on and there will be no actual removal of the mass just a biopsy of a small part of the tissue and lymph node to get analized. and that they will need to make a second surgery when her clinical situation get more clearer to get the mass removed and start the chemo. Sadly we have not yet a quote for those. Power will also get a gastric tube to make feeding her easier. With that, she will be able to come home to us wednesday while we wait for the removal surgery. She relaxed a lot during our visit and of course we will continue to update on her conditions daily! thank you so much to all the people that decided to help Power with the donations you have no idea how gratefull I am.show more

🚨 HOLY SH*T, CHINA IS BUILDING A GOLD-BACKED FINANCIAL... SYSTEM And almost nobody understands how BIG this could become. China is pushing to internationalize the yuan through GOLD, new payment infrastructure, and alternatives to the U.S. dollar. Hong Kong’s government-backed gold clearing system began trial operations in July 2026, linked to the Shanghai Gold Exchange. Bloomberg Research also reports that China is developing a global network of gold vaults that could strengthen the yuan’s role in global finance. At the same time, China is building blockchain-based payment infrastructure with BRICS countries designed to reduce reliance on the U.S. dollar. And GOLD is at the center of everything. China has now bought gold for 20 consecutive months. In July, the UK, China, Japan, South Korea, and India all reduced their U.S. Treasury holdings while increasing exposure to gold. South Korea is buying gold again for the first time in 13 YEARS. Gold has now overtaken U.S. Treasuries as a more important reserve asset. Even Venezuela is moving its $4 BILLION, 31-ton gold reserves out of London after 8 years. The bigger picture is becoming impossible to ignore: GOLD → MORE U.S. TREASURIES → LESS DOLLAR DEPENDENCE → LESS China isn’t just buying gold. IT’S BUILDING AN ENTIRE FINANCIAL SYSTEM AROUND IT. And if other countries follow, the pressure on the U.S. dollar could become much bigger than anyone expects. China is moving toward gold. WHO’S NEXT? 👀show more

It’s more than a little daunting to set out... to expand and improve the identity system for a company and brand like Stripe. But we knew we had to — the existing one had served us well, but wasn’t up to the task anymore. Our brand system required new and improved tools to scale with our ever growing audiences, new products, global footprint, and more. This update introduces material improvements to infographics, advertising, type styles, and more. While the wordmark remains unchanged, we’re using the dot of the ‘i’ (called the “tittle”), a parallelogram pointing up and to the right, to serve as our identifying symbol. We’re also using it as an ever evolving storytelling device to use when talking about our many great users (you can see the latest brand campaign in SF and NYC doing just that). Anyone who has ever worked on the refresh and expansion of an existing system for a large company knows that it is no small endeavor. Crafting impactful solutions, building alignment, creating extensible guidelines, building toolkits, and orchestrating rollout requires a ton of resilience. Here’s to the team that continually inspires me with their dedication, rigor, taste, and exceptional vibes. Great work and thank you to the Brand Studio folks, and of course our many many amazing and invaluable friends and collaborators across the company who all helped shape the work. And a special thank you to a handful of creative agencies that helped us along the way.show more
