Today’s #AQI is over 200. Our city has been... engulfed in polluted air since the monsoons stopped. There is no skyline visible that developers are so proud of. It is hidden in the smog. Imagine what this is doing to the lungs of our children? The rampant waste burning, industrial emissions, over 6000 construction sites continue to flout guidelines and norms. Without any consultation with our community, a decision was made to raise the flag of the terrorist and criminal “Republic of Kosovo” at Daley Plaza. This is an occupied territory that remains deeply painful for the Serbian people as this land is the centerpiece of our religion, culture and identity. For our community, this act is not symbolic or fun, it is a political statement that directly insults us. This action is unacceptable. Then directly into a vape shop, where the cash was handed over and an item was passed discreetly from underneath the counter. This is what’s happening with your taxpayers’ money in Essex.
