A serious incident that occurred yesterday evening in the... Paediatrics ward at Ayub Teaching Hospital. A 2-month-old patient who was on oxygen and ventilator support required CPR. While the doctor was performing CPR, the patient’s attendants physically attacked the doctor. Despite the presence of police, the attendants assaulted and verbally abused the doctor in front of multiple medical staff. The attendants falsely accused the doctor of causing the patient’s death. The child had been brought in critical condition and all possible medical care and counselling were provided by the on-duty medical team.
