Hill sprints are starting to look like hill SPRINTS... again! So grateful I GET to do this. You can live life with a “get to” mentality or a “got to” mentality—the choice is yours every day. Since last summer, I’ve gained so much gratitude for the things I GET to do again. When everything is taken from you and you can’t do anything under your own power, you realize just how much you took for granted. For me: coaching practice, playing in the yard with my kids, watching them compete in sports—even doing hill sprints. It wasn’t that long ago that I wouldn’t have been able to walk up that hill. Just wanted to provide an update. Earlier today, Emilia... finished her last chemo cycle and got to ring the bell. She is officially in remission. Her last two MRIs have come back clean. And we’ll now have to do an MRI every six months for the next five years. I’ve never been more proud of anything or anyone in my entire life. Emilia has been extremely strong and resilient, continuing to amaze us day after day. Thank you to everyone who has shown support throughout the last six months. My family and I truly appreciate it. We’re looking forward to moving on to a new chapter.show more

This past weekend I won Smashkatoon 100, the largest... Melee bracket in Saskatchewan history and a celebration of a wonderful community. I have never wanted to win a tournament so badly in my entire life... now it's over. Smashkatoon was my last large bracket I was planning on entering. Life moves fast and my passion for the game and community can't seem to keep up. I've met some amazing people in my travels, and have had some fantastic times. I still love the game, but my serious competition days have long felt over, Smashkatoon was my one last ride. Shoutouts to Mono, Schmeez, and Egg$ for coming out. That meant the world to me. Thank you to everyone for an amazing 10 years of Smash, 12 year old me couldn't imagine making it this deep into the weeds of it. Thank you to my brother Dunc for getting me into it in the first place and being my guardian at events. Thank you to Paul for driving me to events and smashfests.
