OpenCode can already spawn background subagents, but I just... opened a PR letting you send synchronous tasks to the background. But more interestingly, this video was recorded + edited by 𝚘𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚘𝚍𝚎 running 𝚘𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚘𝚍𝚎 with 𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚕-𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚕.show more

Tasks can now spawn async subagents that move to... the background and continue working independently, even if the main agent finishes its task and becomes inactive. This lets subagents handle long-running tasks, great for monitoring logs or waiting for builds.show more

Third 𝚘𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚘𝚍𝚎 PR 💀

First 𝚘𝚙𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚘𝚍𝚎 PR 👶 I'm so glad all that... bullshit went down, because this finally makes 𝚌𝚘𝚍𝚎𝚡 usable!show more

subagents are just recursive agents where you can apply... different prompts + models depending on the task. since they’re just a primitive, Cursor cli can actually spawn subagents by calling cursor-agent in headless mode via shell commands. that’s what makes the cli so nice. you can extend it, experiment, and have a lot of fun exploring orchestration patterns. here’s one way to do it w. dynamic model selection: 1. create a subagents.mdc rule 2. drop in: ``` --- alwaysApply: true --- ALWAYS spawn subagents by running `cursor-agent -p [task] --output-format=text --force --model [model]` in the terminal. Each subagent should return a summary of the changes it made. Subagents should be used for ALL tasks You can adopt a fan-out pattern where you spawn subagents to perform parallel isolated tasks, and then fan-in the results. Use the following models: - `--model gpt-5` for reasoning, researching, and planning - `--model sonnet-4` for implementation ``` 3. start cursor cli and try it out you can also adjust the rule to be more explicit when it should use subagents, when not to, which models when etc.show more

So imagine this, but with crickets in the background.... I thought it would be fun to add the crickets ambience to the video :3show more

Windows 11 is getting "accelerated app launches," and I... tested it on a PC with just 4GB RAM. Surprisingly, Microsoft Edge now opens much faster when other apps are already running, and Microsoft says this feature will eventually be available to other Windows apps, too! Previously, when Edge was already running in the background and you opened it from the taskbar, Start menu, or a link, Windows would create an extra, temporary process just to tell the existing Edge instance to open. The process would then exit. With the new accelerated launch feature, Windows skips that unnecessary process and sends the request directly to the running instance of Edge. I tested it before and after installing KB5127936 on a Windows 11 virtual machine with a paltry 4GB RAM. Before the update, Edge opened fairly quickly when the PC wasn't doing much, but there was a noticeable delay when Store and Paint were open. After the update, Edge opened surprisingly faster under the same conditions. To be clear, this only improves warm launches, where the app is already running in the background. Opening Edge for the first time after a restart won't benefit from this feature. This feature will also come to other apps, as Windows 11 keeps getting better!show more

From product image to video with just one tool... - Dzine As you may have noticed, this is one of my favorite tools. It is also very underrated, as probably 50% of my tutorials include some workflow. I was testing the new image-to-video option today, and I love it. Step - by step guide in comments 🔽 I can do 95% of a workflow without switching between apps. Image generation, Image to image with style reference, background removal, background generation, and 2 frames image to video. The only other app I have been using for this video is CapCut so that I can stitch it together. Step by step 🔽show more
