The NDP just voted for a 3rd time to... keep Justin Trudeau in power. Do you support the NDP? Here’s the motion they voted NO to: (1) whereas the Leader of the New Democratic Party said he “ripped up” his supply and confidence agreement with the Liberal government, ii) whereas the NDP Leader said, “the Liberals are too weak, too selfish and too beholden to corporate interests to fight for people”, (ili) whereas the NDP Leader said, “the Liberal government will always cave to corporate greed, and always step in to make sure the unions have no power” “, in response to the Liberal Labour Minister’s referrals to the Canadian Industrial Relations Board that ordered the workers of Teamsters Canada Rail Conference and the IL WU 514 to resume their duties, violating their right to strike”, therefore, the House agrees with the NDP Leader, and the House proclaims it has lost confidence in the Prime Minister and the government. #cdnpoli #ndp #canada #bringithome #pierre4pmshow more

When I worked at Sears in the early 90's,... the people there built entire lives off those jobs. The guy running appliances had three kids, coached little league every weekend, and retired after 32 years with a pension. One of the women in customer service bought her first house working full-time there, and the older guy in hardware took the same vacation to the Ozarks every summer because he could actually afford to unplug for a week. The managers knew everybody by name, the Christmas bonuses actually meant something, and the store was packed every holiday season because business was booming. Nobody thought they were "stuck" working retail - it was honest work that paid enough to live with dignity. Somewhere along the way, corporations started making record profits while the people keeping the place running could barely afford rent. When exactly did a steady full-time job stop being enough to build a normal life?show more

most of you don't know how hard hermes agent... is optimized for local AI at the system level. watch the full setup flow on screen. you paste an openai-compatible v1 endpoint, hermes auto-detects every model running behind it. doesn't matter if it's llama.cpp or vllm or any compatible server, all your models surface and become selectable in seconds. no config gymnastics, no manual model list. then it goes deeper. hermes ships with per model parsers, prompt template auto-handling, tool call format detection per model architecture, thinking mode awareness, all the small friction points other harnesses leak on. these were not built for cloud apis with one canonical model. they were built for builders running 10 different local models across 10 different stacks. cloud first harnesses bolt local support on top. hermes agent is local first from the architecture out. that's the system level gap. if you're getting started on local AI, this is the harness you start with. try for yourself and find out. anyone serious about local AI lands here eventually.show more

The dog kept placing stones beside the hospital bed.... Small stones. Smooth ones. Gray ones. One white stone shaped like a bean. They appeared every time the nurse took him outside. His name was Oakley, a red-brown mutt who belonged to a man named Chris, recovering from a serious accident after months in rehabilitation. Chris had been a landscaper. Before the accident, he collected stones from every job site and kept them in jars on his porch. He said every yard had a memory if you knew what to pick up. Oakley had followed him everywhere. After the accident, Chris stopped talking much. He answered doctors. Ignored friends. Stared out the window for hours. The hospital allowed Oakley to visit twice a week. On the first visit, Oakley walked straight to the bed and placed one stone on the blanket. Chris blinked. "Where did you get that?" he whispered. The nurse said Oakley had picked it up outside near the wheelchair ramp and carried it in his mouth the whole way. The next visit, another stone. Then another. Chris began keeping them in a paper cup beside the bed. One day, he asked the nurse to bring the cup closer. He touched each stone with his thumb and named what they looked like. Driveway gravel. Creek rock. Garden stone. It was the most he had spoken in weeks. The therapist noticed. So did his tamily. Soon, walks with Oakley became part of recovery. Chris would sit in the wheelchair while Oakley searched the hospital garden for one stone worth bringing back. Not every stone. Just one. Carefully chosen. Months later, Chris came home. He moved slower now, but Oakley moved with him. On the porch sits a new jar labeled Recovery. Inside are all the stones Oakley carried to the hospital bed. Every one of them. Some people need speeches to come back to life. Others need one loyal dog, one small stone, and a reason to reach for tomorrow.show more

This scene from Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece “Inglourious Basterds” is... a perfect example of cinematic tension and a masterclass in dialogue. The moment Lieutenant Archie Hicox (Michael Fassbender) gives himself away by using the wrong hand gesture for “three glasses” is one of the most iconic reveals in modern film history. It’s a small detail, but in the world of espionage, it’s everything. It’s a subtle clue that unravels an entire operation and leads to one of the most explosive and unforgettable showdowns ever filmed. This isn’t just a movie scene; it’s a lesson in screenwriting and acting, where every word, every gesture, and every pause is loaded with meaning. It’s the kind of filmmaking that makes you lean forward in your seat, your heart pounding, even on the tenth rewatch. Tarantino’s ability to build suspense in a single, confined space is unparalleled, and this tavern scene is arguably the best of its kind. What’s your favorite moment from this legendary film?show more

❗️⚠️🇨🇦 - A tragic mass shooting occurred on February... 10, 2026, at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in the small town of Tumbler Ridge, northeastern British Columbia, Canada. According to the latest updates from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and multiple reliable news sources, 10 people are confirmed dead, including nine victims and the suspected shooter, who died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The victims include six people found deceased inside the school, one who died en route to the hospital, and two others discovered at a connected residence. More than 25 people were injured, with at least two suffering life-threatening wounds and others airlifted for treatment. The incident began around 1:20 p.m. local time when reports of an active shooter prompted a Police Initiated Public Alert (since canceled). Authorities state there is no ongoing threat to the public, and the shelter-in-place order for the town has been lifted. The shooter's identity, any potential connections to groups, and motivations remain under active investigation. Early reports suggest the violence appears to stem from anti-social or nihilistic impulses, but no confirmed links to organized extremism or specific ideologies have been released. This marks one of the deadliest school-related shootings in Canadian history, shocking the small, remote community in the Peace River region. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, the injured, and everyone affected by this senseless tragedy.show more

HUGE: Extremely disturbing reports from Adilabad, Telangana, where a... mob of over 10,000+ Islamists allegedly at†a¢ked a village for supporting the BJP. As the mob at†a¢ked the villagers with axes and stones, and ransacked the entire village, local Hindus locked themselves up to save their lives. Several have been injured in the sudden at†a¢k, and one injured is reportedly in serious condition. While secularists have gone into complete hibernation on this incident, BJP MLA Payal Shankar was the only one to rush to the spot. The Police is yet to take any action. Hey guys! Today is my birthday 🎉 To celebrate,... I decided to drop a little before/after comparison from one of the projects I worked on. This was a small animated sequence for a feature-length film and the main challenge was achieving very realistic, hand-drawn textures in every single frame. I think it turned out pretty great, literally every frame here is unique and made purely by human hands. No shortcuts, just love, patience and a lot of pixels🤙🏻✨show more

Hiring managers are still spending 10–15 hours manually screening... resumes. AI can do it in minutes. I tested it with one prompt: “Review 200 resumes against this job description. Rank the top 10 and explain why.” Here’s what came back: • A ranked shortlist with match scores • Clear, evidence-based reasoning for every candidate • Red flags highlighted with context • A side-by-side comparison of the top contenders • Custom interview questions tailored to each profile No fluff. No guesswork. Just structured, defensible hiring insights—fast. This is what modern recruiting looks like.show more

1 mini PC that fits in a palm, with... no monthly token bill attached to it. Most people run their AI through a browser tab. Every prompt, every document, every half-finished idea leaves the machine and lands on someone else's server. This ORICO mini PC runs the model locally. The assistant lives inside the box, not in a data center 2,000 miles away. Small enough to slide into a bag. Powerful enough that you stop noticing it is not a desktop. You pay once for hardware instead of every month for limits. No outage that takes your assistant down with it. No terms of service deciding what your files are worth. Plug it in anywhere, and the assistant is already there, offline, waiting. The smallest machine on the desk is the only one that keeps its mouth shut.show more

This psychopath who murdered the two staff members of... the Israeli embassy in Washington DC tonight will rot in jail hopefully for life, but he’s not the only one guilty here. There were other murderers. Candace Owens. Piers Morgan. Every single person who held Hamas and Hezbollah flags in the streets, every person who supported them, every person calling to globalize the intifada, and every single human being who contributed to Jew hatred online by spreading Hamas propaganda and blood libels. You are all guilty and you have blood on your hands. Don’t worry, you WILL be held accountable sooner or later. Words matter. The Holocaust started with words. Words can kill and we saw that tonight in Washington DC, no less. This is a massive red line and red flag to Jews throughout the United States.show more
