Last year, I asked traders to Join a group... let’s flip $10 to $6k😂😂😂 Most of them never had the experience of flipping before. We didn’t just jump into trading, we did some deep work and mindset shift before we began. Did we achieve the goal? No! Did most of them learn something new? Yes! Two of them are both my mentees and my Gees till date! Emma has grown so much in his trading and he is such an easy person to mentor. That singular act of bringing people together gave me one of my greatest gifts! 2 Men who are solidly behind me anyday anytime! They believe so much in my vision and have been building with me for almost a year now! I have only met one of them physically and haven’t met the other one. We only talk online and do the required work! This month end we will be having a physical meetup to strategize better for my upcoming mentorship program under HVTfxacademy. Watching this reminded me of my first job in... America - a server in one of the casino buffets. Our buffet was famous with the crab legs. The only thing I could eat in this American buffet was the crab legs with hot butter and carrot cake. I even got wrote up for eating a carrot cake. Not only that I signed the paper but I also admitted for eating the carrot cake. When the director of the food department of the casino wrote my note, he asked my manager if I was trying to be a smart 8ss. My manager said: Nope. She always say what she thinks. On the next day the director passes through my station and wishes me a good day and says my name. I was sooo… smacked on the head from surprise that the only thing I could say was: Ah, you know my name? He said: Of course I know your name. I was so shocked because I in general think I am invisible to people - stay on the side and observe. And for somebody to know my name, that means I didn’t do enough job hiding 🤦‍♀️😂😂😂 A lot of things happened at my first job and soon everybody knew who I am and what’s my name (for my horror) 😝 I could not adjust to the American culture and I would constantly retaliate against certain things that I would consider unjustice 😂 Now that I think about it, it’s hilarious. I've been working on something for Lollapalooza and I'm... finally ready to talk about it! It's called the Memories Project. I, along with 3 other friends from West Coast A'TIN (WEST COAST A'TIN) will be going around Chicago with a Polaroid camera, taking photos of non A'TIN festival attendees, and handing them a mini kraft envelope. Inside: their photo, emoji face wipe, and 2 SB19 lyric stickers. Outside: a QR code to I made 40 sticker designs, all lyrics. Because if someone's not a fan and you give them a sticker of an artist's face, they won't care. But lyrics are universal. And nobody throws away a photo of themselves. That's the whole point. Give them something they actually want to keep, pair it with something relatable, and they'll start wondering who SB19 even is. We'll be distributing them at hotels, the West Coast A'TIN shuttle, festival entrance, and even at the Chicago White Sox vs New York Yankees game. Decided to be a responsible adult and brave the... Arizona surface of the sun heat to wash my car… pull up to a red light and realize the entire city has collectively lost its damn mind. Windows down, AC blasting, and every single driver is mid-solo, full-body dancing like the “heatstroke” just hit and the only cure is poorly timed car choreography. We made eye contact. We synchronized. Then we all noticed the corner. For one glorious, sweaty, slightly concerning red light, Tucson became a mobile dance party of people who have clearly given up on dignity and chosen good vibes instead. I ended up washing the car.
