49ers training camp practice #2 is in the books.... Here are some of the highlights: 🏈De'Zhaun Stribling is getting OPEN — catch-and-run house call from Mac Jones with those long 4.36 strides... The rookie also created separation down the seam on a ball Purdy overshot. Stribling caught a nice one from Purdy on an early rollout 🏈New CB Jack Jones has looked spry, but Ricky Pearsall cooked him on a double move — Jones misfired but that was some "wow" separation. Purdy later hit Pearsall for what might've been a catch-and-run TD 🏈Excellent Renardo Green leaping PBU 🏈CMC has a lot of juice to begin this camp. Jordan James got most of the work behind him early in this practice, but the back half featured more of rookie Kaelon Black. He had a muscle-on-muscle collision with Marques Sigle early 🏈Ji'Ayir Brown notched an acrobatic diving INT off a shorter pass from Purdy, who bounced back immediately with a chunk gainer to Mike Evans. Even with Christian Kirk (calf strain) sideline, the 49ers' WR corps already looks worlds ahead of last season's 🏈Vet CB Eli Apple, entering Year 11, notched a pick 6 off Kurtis Rourke on a pass intended for Junior Bergen. Rourke rebounded with a nice seam shot to Jordan Watkins for a long gain, and then Rourke and Bergen bounced back with a long TD connection to end practice that fired up the onlooking first teamers 🏈Fred Warner looks like Fred Warner. Today seemed, IMO, to be a significant statement practice... for Jacob Cowing. He grabbed one of Brock Purdy's numerous (perfect) deep passes but it goes deeper than that. HIGHLIGHTS: 🏈A few minutes earlier, Cowing and Marques Sigle collided on a deep corner attempt. Cowing was down for a while and limped off — it even looked like his day might be over. But Cowing returned and made the best catch I've seen from him in a 49ers uniform on a 40-yard laser over the middle. The resilience there definitely counts for something, especially considering Cowing's early-career availability issues 🏈Nick Bosa sighting! Did some running on the field while the 49ers were practicing for the first time in a couple weeks. Looked good. CMC (tightness) later watched team drills in person 🏈Keion White (adductor) popped the sled during practice, a good sign of progress 🏈Purdy's top-notch camp continues. He's driving the ball, he's layering the ball, he's hitting deep shots, he's been money on the gimmes, and he's escaping when needed. He praised TE Luke Farrell's growth within the offense in Year 2 — thinks he'll have a big year (Farrell caught a couple more passes today) 🏈Klay Kubiak doesn't believe QB Kurtis Rourke's rib injury will keep him out for a long time. Kubiak said the 49ers deemed Rourke to be better than a 7th-round talent but think he was still available there because of the ACL tear he played through in 2024 🏈This was Malik Turner's most productive offensive practice. Sweet 2-throw sequence from Brock Purdy including a no-looker... 👀 at today's 49ers practice: 🏈 Absolutely perfect deep toss to De'Zhaun Stribling on a corner. The rookie caught the ball with Jack Jones and Marques Sigle very close, but Purdy couldn't have run up and handed the ball to him in a better spot. Hit Stribling's hands like a pillow, making no noise (I was standing very close, only a few yards away). 49ers just wrapped up Block 2 of camp with... a reminder of how good Brock Purdy is — even without his top 3 WR (Evans/Stribling injuries are NOT serious), Purdy's offense managed some crisp success: 🏈Demarcus Robinson was Purdy's favorite WR, reminiscent of when 49ers beat Philly with a skeleton crew. I'm really lost for words. Five months ago, the... Arkansas Baptist College football team was expelled from our practice facility due to unpaid rental fees for maintenance and upkeep. Consequently, spring football practice was suspended and many of our promising student-athletes left, and many of the ballers that we were attempting to recruit, shunned our efforts. Fast forward to the third week of football in September. The Buffaloes are 2-1 with their only loss coming from FCS Houston Christian, in which they were very competitive for a half. I had no expectations for Coach Richard Wilson and his staff this season. After enduring so many challenges, just fielding a team for the 2025 football season would be considered victorious for the program. But these young men have tasted winning, and now they want more. Jock Madden missed the past 4 weeks after requiring... surgery on his testicles. Madden indicates he copped a knee to the groin at training that resulted in a haematoma in his testicles, which is a pooling of blood that forms a raised lump. He was rushed in for surgery hours after the incident. Thankfully if treatment is performed within 2-3 days 90% make a full recovery with no long term implications (fertility etc)show more

A few of you mentioned getting a pretty quick boost. For those who’ve run it (especially at lower doses like 2-5mg): How long did it take for you to notice energy, stamina, or “more in the tank” effects? Same day? Few days? ALERT: Missing Mt. Everest tour guide was found miraculously... alive above base camp after being missing for 6 days, as his family was already performing a funeral ritual. Hillary Dawa Sherpa was pronounced missing on May 29th after his clients reached base camp without him. They were among the last to descend the dismantled mountain trail at the end of the climbing season. Cleaning crews found Hillary crawling down the snowy mountain at Khumbu Icefall, right above base camp. A rescue helicopter transported Hillary to HAMS Hospital in Kathmandu, where his wife and daughter reunited with him. Mendo Lhamu Sherpa, Hillary’s teenage daughter, said they were on day 2 of the funeral ritual, which lasts several days. Mendo said, “When we first heard about it, we could not be sure if that person was indeed our father… So, to be certain, we asked for photos to be sent, and then only we were sure and very happy.”show more

I didn't hear Penny call my name at the... finish line. And tjo shem she tried. I think I know why I didn't hear her shout my name.....My goal was an 11:15 - 11:20 finish. We started in batches of 3 and I was in the 3rd wave. Out of habit, I switched my Garmin off twice at a water point and forgot to switch it back on for a while. My timing was off and I had no idea what time it was. I wasn't worried as I knew I was comfortably ahead of cut-off. At 72 kms, I heard a fellow runner tell another that "We have 2 and a half hours left to finish. We will come in at 11:10." Silly me didn't realize that these were group 2 runners and they had started earlier. Which meant I had even more time to finish and I'd caught up with many Group 2 runners. I had judged myself according to their progress. As I came closer to the finish line I saw the Group 3 clock say 10:58:22. I was stunned, mentally frozen so I switched off and chased my bronze medal with 1 minute 7 seconds to spare. A 10:58:53 finish was satisfying.show more
