Permeable surfaces allow rainwater to filter through the ground,... reducing runoff, easing pressure on drainage systems, replenishing groundwater, and helping trees and surrounding vegetation access the moisture they need. In contrast, sealed surfaces can accelerate flooding and leave the soil beneath dry and disconnected from natural water cycles.show more

Water harvesting infrastructure will be established in 75 CM... SHRI Schools across Delhi under a tripartite MoU signed, in the presence of CM Rekha Gupta, between Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), the Directorate of Education and EHSAS Foundation. Supported through IGL’s CSR initiative, the project will create rooftop rainwater harvesting systems, strengthen groundwater recharge and promote water conservation awareness among students and teachers. This pilot initiative will lay the foundation for expanding rainwater harvesting across government and MCD schools, supporting a greener and more water-secure Delhi.show more

Two dry holes. The client called VerdiSol. 💧🔎 After... drilling two unsuccessful boreholes, our client came to us before making another costly drilling decision. We’re now on site conducting a comprehensive Drone Water Survey and Borehole Pegging exercise — working from the bottom up to understand the land, its terrain, drainage patterns and groundwater indicators. The question isn’t simply “Where do we drill?” It’s: “What caused the previous dry holes, and does this land still justify investing in another borehole?” That’s what we’re here to investigate. 📍 Drone Water Survey 📍 Comprehensive Site Assessment 📍 Borehole Siting & Pegging 📍 Terrain & Drainage Analysis 📍 Groundwater Target Assessment After two dry holes, we’re not guessing the third. Leafy herbs like parsley and cilantro grow close to... the soil, where they can easily pick up microorganisms, insects, parasite eggs, and soil particles. Because their leaves are curly and delicate, these contaminants can hide in the folds and be difficult to remove with a quick rinse. A simple soaking method can help: • 4 cups (1 L) water • 1 tbsp vinegar • 1 tsp salt • Soak ~10 min, then rinse well. Here’s the science behind it: Salt increases osmotic pressure in the water, helping detach small insects, debris, and parasite eggs from the leaf surface. Vinegar contains acetic acid, which lowers pH and helps reduce surface bacteria and microbes. Finally, running water washes away the loosened contaminants. Taking a few extra minutes to properly wash herbs can significantly reduce unwanted microbes and residues on your plate 🌱show more
