In Edgurallapalli, a 9th-grade Dalit girl was gang-raped by 14 TDP-linked men for six months. She became pregnant, and the victim's family has since gone missing amid serious allegations of political pressure and police inaction. Is this the safety they promised? Is this the dignity they protected? The people are told to accept "progress." Then the rains come, engineered or not, and the mountain comes down. The state calls it a natural disaster. The media says "pray for Nepal." It is crucial to remind the global community that Nnamdi Kanu is not a prisoner of conscience but a man who jumped bail after being granted temporary freedom by a competent Nigerian court. In that same broadcast, he went further, ordering his followers to locate and kill Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was then a private citizen and is now the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It must also be emphasized that Kanu’s trial began under the administration of the late President Muhammadu Buhari and has continued lawfully under successive governments. Let's ask a question, can an American lawyer conduct himself the way Mr. Ejimakor has been conducting himself? Even more telling is that Nnamdi Kanu himself, inside the courtroom, confessed to committing the crimes for which he is being tried, claiming in a video-recorded moment that the offences were committed in the United Kingdom. This alone exposes the hypocrisy in his current attempt to paint himself as a victim rather than the perpetrator he is. Furthermore, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)—the organization Kanu leads—is a designated terrorist group under Nigerian law. IPOB has been responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent citizens in the South-East region through brutal attacks on civilians, security operatives, and public infrastructure. One of the videos promises those voting for the Student List that, if they win the elections on the 25th of October, they will be able to walk all over everyone else as soon as the 26th of October.
