Bit of a Sunday experiment, I implemented an xBR4... effect. Since the Sea Sniffers art uses lots of straight lines, it's super clean. Why am I implementing this in a pixelart game? Blimey! This was a challenge to find. The Brewery... Tap pub in Brentford right now. It’s even in my book of Greatest pubs, but when I just came to find it I got totally confused and had to get Google maps out! The street is completely changed since I was here. None of these buildings existed when I last came. Just mentioned to the landlady and she said yes, they’re thinking of having a box of medals on the bar to anyone who manages to find the pub. I understand this is just college banter, but in... the context of such a tragedy, these jokes come across as anything but humorous. While I understand the intent to promote brotherhood between India and Pakistan in the UK, especially with large numbers of Indian and Pakistani students sharing college spaces and interacting regularly, doing so in this manner feels deeply distasteful and offensive. #Islamabad: #IIAP - Passport Control situation since December 2025.... Received similar complaints earlier as well. #IslamabadAirport Video Date: 13/1/26 at 7:30am. Received via traveller: I landed at Islamabad airport & there were more people there than I’ve ever seen (I go to the airport almost every month), and the crowd was out of control at the passport control area. People were cutting lines, pushing each other, forcing themselves through & pushing women away too. The single line queue paths were filled with multiple queues and complete disorder. And there was not a single airport security/civil aviation official regulating the queues. Multiple fights broke out there because of people cutting lines too. I had to wait 1.5 hours before I finally got my turn after being pushed by multiple people. Knowing that these are among our earliest learnings, don’t be surprised if your little one begins to mimic the musicality of certain words and phrases well before they explode into language near the end of the first year. In fact, this musicality or “prosody” is even displayed in your baby’s cries. That’s right: babies cry with an accent. With all this in mind, check out this little guy (shared to TT by bri_col44), who - at 3 months - sure appears to have said “I love you.” Developmentally, it’s probably a little early for the phrase to be associated with meaning (with our first communicative words typically emerging between 10-14 months), but amazing how well this little one matches mom’s phrasing, even as articulation and understanding are continuing to develop. It all a part of the amazing process of language development. And that’s not to even mention that smile! There’s truly nothing better.show more
