Pakistan's K2 Airways, has gone missing while operating a cargo flight from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, to Karachi, Pakistan, with five crew members on board. According to Pakistani aviation authorities, the crew reported a navigation system malfunction at 21:18 local time. Approximately 155 nautical miles west of Karachi, both radio and radar contact with the aircraft was lost. Radar data before the loss of contact indicated that the aircraft was descending rapidly while making an abrupt change of course. Delta Flight DL-2668 Evacuated in Atlanta Due to Engine... Failure On January 10th, 2025, a Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-300 (registration N589NW), operating flight DL-2668 from Atlanta, GA to Minneapolis, MN, experienced an engine failure during takeoff from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The crew rejected the takeoff at around 85 knots, and the aircraft safely came to a stop approximately 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) down runway 09L. Following the incident, an evacuation was carried out via both the left and right slides due to a reported engine fire, though the exact cause remains unclear. Four passengers sustained minor injuries during the evacuation, with one being transported to the hospital. Landing in Geneva, one is reminded how quick we... are to romanticise “the West” and run down our own systems in India. Geneva is beautiful, efficient in many ways, no doubt. But at the airport? No lifts or elevators where you’d expect them, confusing baggage belts, barely any signage or help. A lady with crutches had to hobble down the stairs because there was no elevator! It made me think of our own airports — from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to Indira Gandhi International Airport, Rajabhoj International Airport, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport and Jolly Grant Airport — where navigation, accessibility, and passenger support are so great . JUST IN: 34-year-old American Airlines passenger who was gagged... and strapped with duct tape, is being sued by the Federal Aviation Administration. Heather Wells was accused of trying to open an aircraft door mid-flight from Dallas to Charlotte, NC. Flight attendants, with help from a passenger, were able to restrain Wells with duct tape after she tried to kick, spit, and head-butt people. The incident happened after Wells had a drink of Jack Daniels and started running down the aisle to open the front cabin door as she yelled profanities. The incident happened in 2021. The FAA fined Wells $81,950 in 2022 which she has yet to pay. US attorney Jaime Esparza is now filing a lawsuit on behalf of the FAA to collect money from Wells.show more
