Recently we had a bug on Switch where NPC... interactions (which have Depth of Field) caused a horrible crawling black pixels bug. We saw reports of a similar bug with certain AMD 7xxx series cards with #NoMansSky Worlds Part II, but until this week hadn’t been able to reproduce this issue - our players reported various semi fix methods with AA modes and windows settings, adding to the mystery. I reproduced the bug yesterday after finding a YouTube link on Reddit that happened to show their full graphics settings! You can see the bug here in my quick phone capture of the horror bug! 4 hours of shader debugging later and I have submitted a fix which should make it into the next patch. On the surface this bug looks the same as the Switch issue which was NaN propagation - but it wasn’t: Interested to see if any graphics programmers here can have a stab at what the bug is, bearing in mind it was on one class of GPUs only.show more

We are aware of the bug allowing players to... equip multiples of the same equipment in the same horse. This can give the horse insane speed or make the horse and the rider invulnerable to damage. We will have a fix for this issue coming later this week.show more

As a graphics engine coder I think when you... look at a flickering bug like this one in the video below it’s not immediately obvious what is going on. The key here is observation - to study this flickering/bugged render carefully - what do we see? Firstly for me it was very obvious that nearly all of the scene shadows were flashing on and off - but (but!) there was a secondary issue where some buildings and parts of the sky were also flashing purple. Hmmmm. Interesting. I initially thought then this might be two separate bugs - but because the sky purple element could only based on full screen post fx and not 3D rendering I looked at this first with a few GPU captures to step through all our post processing to find the rendering stage which made these pixels turn purple: When I did this I found the colour 3D texture LUT grading that makes our different biomes have unique colour palettes was going very wrong - colours near 0 or 1 were wrapping and making the purple elements that we see in the said sky and base parts. The only way this could happen was if the texture was corrupt (which it was not) or if the 3D texture sampling was wrapping and not clamped as intended. That was the Eureka moment - because if the post fx had the wrong texture sampler then the disappearing shadows which also require an exact texture sampler for comparing depth might be also wrong because of the same kind of texture sampling issue! So with this idea that the engine was using the wrong texture samplers, but only in very high draw call scenes like the big base here I the looked at some engine limits and found the bug very quickly - a circular dx12 descriptor buffer for samplers running out over multiple frames, reusing the wrong data for new scenes inflight. Hence the flickering, as the GPU randomly got wrong samplers for some post textures or shadow depth. Easy to fix with triple limits for future expansion and also adding an assert/debug spam in case this limit is ever reached again - QA testers would see this message and report if they ever saw a flicker with this style of bug. My bug and my bad from 2017 porting NMS to DX12 without foreseeing how massively complex bases and our game would grow.show more

What I mean is that iOS 26 Beta 2... has a bug with black wallpapers that makes app icons show up only as outlines, which makes it much easier to see how the details inside the icons reflect light when you tilt your iPhone. Introducing my new OSS framework: OhSnap provides really simple... way to record and reproduce the data your users saw when encountering an issue (bug/crash), integration in your project should take a few minutes at most. Majority of bugs are related to data you have to deal with and often times we have to work with frequently changing data via network API's. Even if you have access to multiple environments (prod/staging/dev) it's still going to be PITA to reproduce a lot of bugs your user saw, since we often get to them a long time after the bug occured... OhSnap allows you to easily record any data your app downloads, pack it and put it on server so that you can replay it on your device later on, while connected to debugger and save hours of development time trying to figure out what exactly they experienced! I quit having affiliate programs on my sites months... ago mostly because more than half the payouts on Rewardful that I'd sent out via Wise would fail and it resulted in VERY angry emails, replies and YouTube comments about PiEtEr LeVeLs NoT PaYiNg OuT HiS AfFiLlIAtEs Well I DID pay out but Wise made most payments fail Now I'm at the other end of it as Bordr an immigration service I resold for awhile has been trying to pay me out for years on Wise, and it's never ever worked It's impossible to talk to Wise staff or get them to fix anything, with Stripe I can report a bug and they reply to my tweets or DM me, with Wise it's like a black box, they never reply or give a shit I visited their office and they were nice and wanted feedback, but on here they're completely absent, and no support on website either Which I'm fine with btw, I do the same but with ALL my sites you can report a bug with 2 clicks, I'll see it within minutes or hours and I personally fix it usually in minutes and at worst less than 48 hours Which is why I'd LOVE to see Stripe move into Wise's market and give me a payment card so I can pay my billsshow more

Tonight, I tested the latest Tesla FSD build v14.2.1.25... on my Cybertruck while turning into my neighborhood—and unfortunately, the persistent phantom emergency braking bug is still there. The vehicle suddenly slams on the brakes, detecting a nonexistent “ghost” obstacle in the road. (See video) This issue first appeared with FSD v14.1 and hasn’t been resolved yet. 📍 GPS location: 28.240491, -81.606942 My nearby friend with a 2025 Cybertruck experiences the exact same problem at the same location. Notably, it happens in both FSD mode and regular manual driving—but only started after the v14.1 update. A user on Reddit reported a "game breaking bug"... related to the new demo respawn animation. Apparently if someone is demoed before the ball touches the ground for overtime and they haven't respawned by the time the ball does touch the ground, the player respawns in demo respawn position instead of the usual kickoff position. He noticed something odd that I completely missed. In the first two seconds, you can see a bug fly by the camera on the right. Nothing unusual there. But right after that, there’s a black object that moves across the top-centre of the screen. It has what looks like a tail and a metallic or shiny-looking top. It doesn’t look like a bird or balloon to me, but I’m open to ideas! I didn't see it until after I watched the video back, so unfortunately it's very short and not focused on the object. Fixed this small bug in Linear’s app today which... I often see in other apps as well. Here’s a small before/after. The issue: When you open a popover inside a modal (think a custom select), clicking outside the popover to close it also closes the modal. The desired behavior is to close the select on click outside while keeping the modal open. This often happens because custom dropdowns or select components are rendered in a portal. The modal then treats the interaction as an outside click because, technically, the dropdown isn’t inside the modal in the DOM, it’s rendered elsewhere via a portal. The fix depends on your setup, whether it’s Radix/Base UI, fully custom etc. But since you now know the cause of it, you can ask your agent to fix it for you!show more

Okay so someone suggested trying WAN 2.1, a video... model that supports LoRas So I trained a LoRa of myself and it works really really well, super high resemblance, obviously you can't use a Flux LoRa but similar effect, it just works great A few annoying things: - WAN 2.1 FPS is like 16 fps, so jittery, so you have to run it through an interpolator to add another frame to get close to 30fps - Limited to about 5 seconds clips (but that seems to be a bug, see "Bug Fix I2V Frame Count Hardcoded to 81 (!!) and Optional Batch Mode") Here it is with WAN LoRa + my ElevenLabs voice + 2x interpolation + boomerang loop to make it from 5 into a 10 second video Very big potential this is the working solution if I can make this pipeline work 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯show more
