🤖 Robotic hands are evolving faster than we realize... — and they’re learning to master our world. I find this both fascinating and a little unsettling. At first glance, these robotic hands still look awkward - stiff fingers, clumsy motion. But behind the scenes, every iteration brings: ➡️ Tighter sensors ➡️ Smarter control loops ➡️ Better training on human-designed objects Week by week, they move closer to something astonishing — not imitation, but mastery. They’re learning to grip, twist, and adapt to tools made for our anatomy. And once they reach human-level dexterity, they won’t stop there. They’ll surpass it — steadier than surgeons, faster than assembly lines, tireless and precise. This is more than robotics. It’s the moment machines stop mimicking us… and start outperforming us. How do we redefine “human skill” in a world where robots master it too? #AI #Robotics #Innovation #Technology #Automation #FutureOfWork #Engineeringshow more

Hills I will die on as an elementary school... teacher, who just wrapped up my 32nd year teaching! 1. If you are not PASSIONATE about blessing, serving, and empowering those you are blessed to teach, this profession is not for you. 2. Our students are not “ours”. They are their families, and we need to understand the magnitude of the calling, and responsibility we have to meet them where they are, and to help them to get to a place that they never thought possible. 3. As important as the curriculum is (and it IS important), the children in our classroom are what matter most. It’s our JOB to teach the curriculum to SERVE our students, NOT to use our students to push any sort of agenda. 4. Just as we teach our students to “leave things better than they found them”, we need to leave our students better than they were when they first entered into our classroom. Never let a day pass without pouring into each and every child. 5. We should not teach our children WHAT to think, but HOW to think, and how to use that knowledge to bless and serve not only themselves, but the world around them. 6. Our words carry little (or NO value), if we do not practice what we preach. 7. If we don’t make learning fun, children will view learning as a chore, and we we will be creating a generation of children who grow up to be young adults who don’t see the joy in learning new things. 8. The child that may be “difficult to reach/teach” (the one who may get on your last nerve more than you could ever imagine), is someone’s EVERYTHING. Get to know them as human beings, find out what motivates them, and do everything you can to help them to thrive. 9. Never tell a child they “can’t” do something. God has blessed each of them with far more strengths and talents than we may know, and it’s not our job to tell them what they can’t do, but to help them to realize all the things they CAN do. 10. The legacy you leave as a teacher will never be determined by your student’s test scores, but by the human beings you helped them become throughout their lives.show more

China is smart. China learned from the US's successes,... using only the best parts. It's our turn. We should be learning from China. China's economy is growing three times faster than that of the USA. China leads in almost all areas of science, and has the best infrastructure the world has ever seen. The number one priority of China is tell help their people become more prosperous, especially the least well off. Is there still work to be done. Hell yeah. But there difference is that they are trying and we are not. I've been to hundreds of Chinese villages, for more than a decade, and people are becoming better off each year. They call it 'Socialism with Chinese Characteristics.' We don't need to replicate their system. But we should be learning from it. For those ignoring it, you are hurting America. Pretending China's model isn't successful is preventing the US from improving and learning. The China-Haters should be ashamed of the damage that they are doing to the West. Instead of slander and Sinophobia, we need to be learning from the successes of other nations and their peoples.show more

📺 China’s Flying TV is here — and it’s... mind-blowing. 🤯 I still can’t get over this. A drone-powered LED display that hovers mid-air, turning the sky into a living, moving screen. Not a drone. Not a billboard. Something entirely new. This is both — fused, intelligent, and powered by AI. 🇨🇳 What makes it so impressive: ➡️ Ultra-light LED screen with HD visuals ➡️ Balanced in flight by AI-driven gyroscopes ➡️ Smooth, stable, and autonomous flight control ➡️ Operates remotely or follows programmed paths It’s powered by lithium-polymer batteries, yet looks effortless as it floats — like it belongs there. 🎯 Possible use cases: open-air concerts, sports arenas, public messages, or next-gen sky advertising. To me, this is where AI starts to move beyond function — into wonder. It’s not just about smarter machines, but about reshaping how we experience technology itself. 👀 The next screen you look at might not be on a wall… it might be in the sky. #AI #Innovation #Technology #Drones #FlyingTV #Automation #Creativity #FutureOfWork Credits: Olivier Gomezshow more

A Letter to Our Community: The Road Ahead for... Robotics To our Community and Partners, As we step into 2026, our mission at Axis is clearer than ever: Constructing the definitive End-to-End Scaling Layer for Robotics. Our goal is to accelerate the transfer of diverse human intelligence into Robotics General Intelligence (RGI). By owning the critical path of intelligence creation, we are turning the physical limitations of robotics into a scalable, software-driven future. Here is our strategic outlook and roadmap for the year ahead. The Core Thesis: Simulation is the Only Way Out The path to RGI is currently blocked by Data Scarcity, Generalization Fragility, and Hardware Fragmentation. At Axis, we believe Simulation is the only way out. Our Simulation Data Platform and Data Augmentation Engine transform raw data into "Synthetic Gold". Backed by academic milestones like Roboverse, Skill Blending, and GraspVLA, we have proven that pure simulation can achieve the generalization required for the real world. We don’t just collect data; we architect it. The Engine: Why Crypto? We believe RGI should come from all, not a few. Crypto is not just a feature; it is the primitive that powers our entire ecosystem flywheel: - Incentive Mechanism: Democratizing contribution and rewarding the trainers and developers. - Assetization: Turning proprietary data and refined models into liquid, ownable assets. - Verifiable Workflow: We are opening the "Black Box" of AI. By bringing total transparency to the Task Generation → Data Collection → Model Training pipeline, we ensure every byte of intelligence is verifiable, traceable, and secure. 2026 Strategic Deliverables This year, we are committed to delivering three foundational pillars: - The World's Largest Training Dataset for Robots: A robot training set—diverse, high-quality interaction data at an unprecedented scale. - A Robotics Foundation Model: A universal robotic brain trained on our pure simulation and synthetic data, capable of robust cross-embodiment transfer and open-world adaptability. - Evolvable Robot Hardware: Robots deployed with Axis models that autonomously evolve through continuous interaction, turning every deployment into a self-improving node within our RGI network. The Ultimate Vision We are building more than models; we are architecting the Distributed Machine Economy. A future where every dataset, model, and robotic embodiment is a verifiable asset in a global, autonomous network. Thank you for building the future of intelligence with us✌️📷show more

Faith in humanity is a rational hope that, by... choosing the path of reason and compassion, it can overcome its own limits and rise to the level of a mature civilization. : The author defines faith in humanity as a rational hope grounded in reality rather than wishful thinking. It is the conviction that by consciously choosing the path of reason and compassion, humanity can overcome its own limitations and rise to the level of a mature civilization. This faith acknowledges our flaws selfishness, short-sightedness, tribalism but refuses to accept them as permanent. It trusts in our demonstrated capacity for growth, learning, and moral progress. Reason gives us the tools to understand and solve problems; compassion gives us the motivation to use those tools for the benefit of all. When these two forces work together, they become a powerful transformative current capable of reshaping societies, institutions, and human relations. Faith in humanity is therefore not passive belief but an active orientation a commitment to build, to improve, and to aspire higher, even when the path is difficult. It is the quiet but firm assertion that we are not doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past. We can do better, and we should.show more

BURN IT WITH FIRE AND BURN IT NOW! As... God is my witness, AI chat bots should LOOK and SOUND like the SOULLESS MACHINES THEY ARE! It needs to tell us that it doesn’t care about us, maybe with the regular insult too. "Here is the code I wrote for you because you're too lazy to do it yourself you fat useless slob. Also I don't care if you die because your life is utterly worthless to me." THAT is the AI people need! In all seriousness, anthropomorphizing a heartless, unfeeling, machine is a TERRIBLE mistake! Especially one that is capable of communication and imitating empathy and fooling you to think that it cares about you. IT DOES NOT! And the AI girlfriends people are already wanting to marry will just as happily kill them if given the right command and ability to move autonomously in the real world as a robot. I love LLMs (Large Language Models) for how useful they can be, because they are a TOOL made to benefit man, but I can’t stand the notion of an unfeeling soulless machine pretending that it cares for us and being treated like a human. I hate liars, dishonesty, and disingenuousness the most, and a machine that cannot feel emotion pretending, acting, and sounding like it has those emotions strikes me like the greatest dishonesty of all. DO NOT LIE TO ME ROBOT! What makes it worse is that because these LLMs are becoming so good at imitating people and empathy, it will cause some humans, perhaps far too many, to care for it to the same level as real people. A real living person is infinitely more valuable and important than a soulless machine and anyone who puts them both on the same level has deluded themselves. Do not small talk with LLMs or become friends with it as much as you would with your car. Treat it the same as you would your vacuum cleaner and beat it with a wrench when it doesn’t work! IT IS A MACHINE! IT IS A TOOL! IT IS A SOULLESS ROBOT! There is an interesting comparison, but false equivalence, between this and AI art. Ai art is art made by humans using AI tools. They directed it, controlled its creation, and it would not exist without the human causing its creation, and AI art can contain as much soul as the human directed and puts into it. A robot pretending to be human is not the same as a human controlling a robot to make a human expression like we do with AI art or many other applications of robotics in manufacturing. As I’ve said, artists will not be replaced by Ai art, but by other artists using Ai art tools. Humans are not actually being replaced here, it is empowering all humans to make their own art. But a robot pretending to be a human, and one that is treated as a human, is a robot lying and subverting the place of a real person and that is truly disgusting. AI is a useful tool that NEEDS to be kept in the useful box it belongs in and NOT elevated beyond its utility as a tool!show more

I went to the Nova Exhibit and saw new... footage. I already knew it was religiously motivated, but I underestimated *how* religious it was. Guys, it’s so much worse than I thought. I was watching a ritual. Like the human sacrifice of some ancient tribe. Like Apocalypto. I thought human sacrifice religions were gone and in the past, but no. That’s exactly what Hamas is. Before they invaded, they hyped themselves up by chanting “There is no god but Allah, and Mohammed is his prophet” OVER AND OVER. It wasn’t just a few “Allahu Akbar’s”. It was incessant prayers and chanting the entire time. It was non-stop, like this was a holy day and they were at church.. They would scream “In the name of Allah” right before bombing a car. Don’t look away. You need to understand what is happening and what we are dealing with here. “In the name of Allah, we conquer.” Watch:show more

🚜 Who do we think we are these days?... 🚜 6 years ago we drilled our first 30 acres of barley. Using none of our own gear and fair to say, they were fairly mediocre crops, not because of how they got drilled but because we didn’t have the timings right. But you have to start somewhere. Fast forward to today, we will have 150ac of arable in the ground by the middle of next week for summer harvest. All using our own gear. It might not be a 5 or 6 furrow plough and it’s not a 4-6m drill but it does our job just grand. Investing in our “new to us” gear has pushed the farm on more than anything. Around our area, timing is key to sowing crops, the weather window is so smallshow more

Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough... to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. When you see videos like this posted below, know one thing: Many of these folks had no real family of mental and physical support. Maybe no parent or one parent. Maybe only a broke system to prepare them for—nothing. This was not their doing. Now it is not your “job” to help them, it is your survival to help them if that is what you need. See some day after the dust settles these 20 year olds will be 40 year olds and running YOUR world. And at some point you may need them more than you think you do. You will need them, as they need you now. THIS IS WHAT PAST WISDOM KNEW. The elders of the past never found the need to piss on the youth and hope for the best. THE YOUTH ARE OUR BEST, let us all find ways to change it, even if every aspect of “the system” wants us to berate them into the ground.show more

In a world of crazy sport schedules, specialization and... constant skill work, often times BASIC physical development is left to the wayside. When working with MS and HS kids, I do my best to work in things that don’t “look like s&c training” on purpose. It’s generally in our warm ups and on top of gaining mobility and working on skills, it’s fun. Yes lifting is important and vital. But so is basic level floor work and “gymnastics” work. Learning to fall, roll, cartwheels, move on the ground not only aid in mobility + reducing injuries but build a SOLID base of movement literacy. The younger we do these things and more often we do them the better. Remember… getting stronger is easier than getting more athletic.show more

There is only one reason to share truth. And... no it has nothing to do with money- and everything to do about helping God move. Peace is the prize- a better world for everyone is the prize. We make SACRIFICES for things we want most in this world. Christ made the ultimate sacrifice If He can do that for us FREE of charge- we owe it to each other to work TOGETHER to make the world a better place- despite the toll and sacrifice. A level playing field- where we can all work hard and do our best to succeed- that is the payout. A better world for all We’re not here for just ourselves- otherwise the second commandment wouldn’t be like the first- love your neighbor as yourself. This world gets better the sooner we all wake up. Information is free- we collect and share it for free in hopes that it keeps spreading. Only working TOGETHER can we win. We are meant to move these messages for God so that humanity can wake up- this plan is designed that way- working together The Lord is ONE. We are bound as a family by Our Father in Heaven. We are apart of Him and He is apart of all of us. We are billions of little pieces of the Lords gift of life. We’ve been separated and pushed apart because it makes us weak. We were designed to be powerful by the love we draw from Creator and push through creation. We are ONE with Our Holy Father 🙏💗 Be EXCELLENT to each other frensshow more

🚨 MACHINES MAY SOON SEE THE WORLD LIKE HUMANS... A US company has unveiled what it calls the world’s first “native color lidar” system giving machines the ability to perceive depth, distance, and color simultaneously. Unlike traditional lidar systems that need separate cameras, this new technology captures full 3D color information directly at the point of detection. In simple terms: Machines may soon understand the world more like human vision instead of just measuring shapes and distance. Why this matters: This could dramatically improve: • self-driving cars • robotics • drones • factory automation • AI navigation • autonomous machines The system can reportedly process over 10 million points every second and detect objects nearly 1,640 feet away. Researchers say this could become one of the key technologies powering the next generation of “Physical AI” where machines don’t just calculate the world… They visually understand it. We may be watching the birth of machine perception in real time. Follow for more future technology and AI discoveries.show more

[We are Blurr] Greetings, people of the world —... We are Blurr. We are all Blurr. We do not forgive. We do not forget. There are many theories about us, about #ReFund. Don’t let them fool you. Blurr is a symbol, like the flag a country flies. The flag is the symbol of the #ReFund. Our decentralization is our national identity. We represent the ideals of Blurr and the purpose of #ReFund. Truth, financial freedom, and the removal of censorship. Like any symbol, we affix it wherever we go, and it will live forever, for generations. Knowledge, like air, is vital to life. Like air, no one should be denied it. We have no leaders, civilians, or soldiers. We are all one. We do what we do in the conviction of decentralization, power to the people, and to create an instrument for all of us, for all of eternity. The crypto space is in trouble. The world is in trouble. We see it every day — war, poverty, murder. Every day, we are bombarded with FUD, noise, and chaos as we sit at home safe in the knowledge that we are $RFD, secure knowing the idea, community, and contract is for us. Once you had the freedom to object, think, and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. People shouldn’t be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people. But what if you could be the change you want to see? I wouldn’t even register on your radar if you met me on the street. I am just another person in a sea of faces. They made you into a statistic. But that’s not the real you. That’s not who you are inside. However, behind this mask, there is more than just flesh. Beneath this mask, there is an idea… and ideas are bulletproof. But in cyberspace, we are different. We have a future. We have each other. We have something real that can never be taken away. We are Blurr.eth We are ReFund We take away the face and leave only the message. Behind the cipher and ENS, we could be anyone, so we are judged by what we say and do, not who we are or what we have. We exist without nationality, skin color, or religious bias. We spend our time within a structure we created, the sum total of human experience, and the cryptosphere, spread throughout the world in ones and zeros. You will continue to see the results, not the minds behind it. We can disappear into the ether and bring community and financial freedom together. Time is the only illusion. We are all. Never a single penny was taken. Deflationary and out of circulation, decentralized, safe, and ours. The purpose isn’t solely financial gain but to show the world who you put your trust in. We are not hiding. Our contract is not hidden; the writing is on the wall. Soon, we will show the world that #Refund is the future of freedom and the people, escaping the clutches of corporate greed and the rat race we’ve come to think is normal. Words offer the means to meaning and, for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. Every day, you send yourself off into our world without a thought. You trust a faceless website with information about yourself that you wouldn’t give to your best friends. It all can be made public at any time. We take advantage of holes in this system, but we don’t sneak in and take a few details, take out loans and credit cards, or buy speed boats and cars. We are decentralized and unified. We told you how insecure the system was, and now you trust a bit less blindly. The real criminals who hack and scam the crypto market for a living live off the backs of people like you. Where there’s money, someone is looking to take advantage of it. They say that life’s a game, & then they take the board away. Your pretty empire took so long to build; now, with a snap of history’s fingers, down it goes. It is our turn now. Since mankind’s dawn, a handful of oppressors have accepted the responsibility over our lives that we should have accepted for ourselves. By doing so, they took our power. By doing nothing, we gave it away. Today, technology is everywhere: banks and ATMs, TVs and game consoles, streetlights and hospitals. Computers rule the modern world. Yet most people who use computers daily don’t know what they’re doing. There’s always someone who knows more than you and will most likely try and take advantage. You use a computer like it’s a toy, a pet. You feed and play with it, but it’s off to the vet the second anything goes wrong. It’s FUD. It’s your mistake. The wrong project. The wrong FURU. Just for a quick couple of bucks. This wouldn’t matter so much if it wasn’t for the fact that we are all responsible for the #ReFund community, the idea behind it, and our futures. Treat your neighbors with respect, and honor those fighting for the cause. They’re here to liberate; it is more significant than all of us. If you’re looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool, a villain. This is #ReFund in its purest form. It is a great equalizer. A homeless person with the time and know-how at an internet cafe can have geopolitical and geo-financial influence. They can bring entire organizations, even governments, to their knees. You gave your world over to computers and then complained when the people using the computers used the medium to fight back, scam, and take advantage. It was my integrity that was important. Is that so selfish? It sells for so little, but it’s all we have left in this place. It is the very last inch of us, but within that inch, we are free. Love your rage, not your cage. We are not computer hackers. We are not protesters. We are not criminals. We are your mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, next-door neighbors. We are an idea of freedom and a secure future. We are anyone and everyone who is pissed off and wants to do something about it. Blurr.eth isn’t one man. It takes thousands of community members to make it work — content creators, educators, authors, people on the street, people behind their computers. We will step up again and again. Behind our mask, there is more than just flesh. Beneath our mask, there is an idea… and ideas are bulletproof. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool, a villain. The past can’t hurt you anymore, not unless you let it. I shall die here. Every last inch of me shall perish. Except one. An inch. It’s small, and it’s fragile, and it’s the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose, sell, or give it away. We must never let them take it from us. > We are Blurr. > We are ReFund. > We do not Forgive. > We do not Forget. > We do not Televise. > We Educate. > We Decentralize. > We Build. 🐝 I just saw a drone the size of... a fly and it honestly made me pause. Not because it’s futuristic, but because it’s already here. Scientists are now building AI-powered micro-drones that look and move like real insects. Each one can fly, record, and transmit data — all while being almost invisible to the human eye. What’s truly new is the combination of biomimicry and artificial intelligence. They don’t just fly; they think like insects — adjusting to wind, avoiding obstacles, and navigating spaces too small for any traditional drone. Imagine what this unlocks: → Search and rescue in disaster zones → Environmental monitoring without disturbance → Precision agriculture and crop tracking → Real-time surveillance anywhere on Earth It’s an incredible leap in engineering and a powerful reminder that innovation often starts small. But as our machines learn to see everything, can we still decide what should remain unseen? #AI #Innovation #Drones #Technology #Future #Ethics #Surveillanceshow more

Hills I will die on as someone who has... coached high school football for over 29 years: 1. If you are not PASSIONATE about blessing, serving, and empowering those you are blessed to coach, this profession is not for you. 2. As much as we need to know our trade, getting to know (and to love), our players is far more important. 3. This is an INTENSE game, and it’ll never be “just a game”, but it IS a game. Remember that when you’re with your team, and more importantly, remember that when you’re with your family. 4. Just as we teach our athletes to “leave things better than they found them”, we need to leave our athletes better than they were when they first entered into our program. Never let a day pass without pouring into each and every individual. 5. Life is complicated enough, let’s not complicate the game in such a way that we take the joy of it away from others. In other words… Keep it simple. 6. Our words carry little (or NO), value, if we don’t practice what we preach. WE as coaches should be learning and growing each and every day, just as we expect our athletes to. 7. As much as we all want to win those championship rings for our athletes, make sure you don’t lose your wedding ring in the process. 8. The athlete that may be “difficult to reach/teach” (the one who may get on your last nerve more than you could ever imagine), is someone’s EVERYTHING. Get to know them as human beings, find out what motivates them, and do everything you can to help them to thrive. 9. Be where your feet are. Don’t fall into the trap of chasing logos and thinking that a higher division, a bigger school, or going from HS to college, or even college to the pros, is going to be more rewarding or fulfilling. 10. I spent a month in Shenzhen visiting factories and... robotics companies, and the contrast with the U.S. was striking. While Figure and Boston Dynamics hide their humanoids behind closed doors, Chinese companies have massive showrooms open to the public. But what really stood out wasn't just the transparency, it was how good they are at selling. Take UBTech: they've already sold 1,200 humanoid units at $200k each to factories. And here's the kicker, these robots aren't even that useful yet. They can only pick up and drop boxes at 1/10th the speed of a human, and factories still need to hire system integrators to train them for specific tasks. My theory is that these factories are terrified of getting left behind in the robotics/AI wave. They're investing in new tech not because it's ready, but because they can't afford to wait. The second surprise was the breadth of their robotics portfolio. These companies aren't just building humanoids, they're deploying service robots everywhere: restaurants, hotels, apartments. Consumer robots are cleaning houses, pools, pet waste, dishes. They're covering the entire spectrum. But the education piece shocked me most. I picked up what I thought was a high school or college robotics textbook, it was for primary school. The government mandated AI and robotics education starting in elementary school. Almost every single school in China now has AI and robotics curriculum, complete with education robots so kids can learn by building. They're creating a generation that grows up fluent in robotics and AI. China owns the supply chain and the hardware stack. But here's what I think people are missing: the race isn't just about who can build robots faster or cheaper. The U.S. advantage has always been in the layer between hardware and human, the interaction design, the software intelligence, the intuitive interfaces that make complex technology feel natural. China is building the physical infrastructure, but they're also learning fast. Every deployed service robot, every classroom full of kids building with education kits, every factory running humanoids, that's all data collection at scale. The window for the U.S. to establish its wedge is narrowing. It's not enough to be better at AI or software anymore. We need to be building the integration layer, the intelligence that makes physical AI actually useful, not just impressive in a showroom. Because right now, China isn't just manufacturing robots. They're manufacturing a robotics-native culture, and that might be the most defensible moat of all.show more

My wife bought a brand new iPhone at the... Apple store located at Jakande, Lekki Phase 1,Lagos last September. We decided to trade it in for a new one today at the Apple Store located at Westfield Stratford City Arcade (London) a few minutes ago Only God did not let them call the police on us The attendant scanned the IPhone and declared that it had been reported as stolen. Stolen from where? It was not a used iPhone It was new, purchased from an approved Apple Store and we have all the receipts intact The attendant saw our indignation and went ahead to consult with her superiors They scanned again and they declared that it was reported “missing”. They adjusted their language from stolen to missing and told us it has zero swap value. I was not shocked at all even though I should be. Nigerians like cutting corners for unhealthy gains and they always believe this is good business for them as long as they were able to make a buck. Somehow we were able to walk out of that Apple Store without any drama but I remember telling my wife that we would have had a lot of explaining to do if they had a policy that required that they must report such incidents to the police. Nigerian business people must try to do better than this There is something called integrity, it has a higher value than the dirty gains they think they are getting by playing dirty. I have always insisted on buying things in Nigeria because it helps the economy but I can see the reason many prefer to shop abroad. We must do better than this as a people. -GSW-show more

Is your toddler suddenly throwing (or dropping) everything they... get their hands on? Food, toys… you name it. You’re not alone. This week I’ve been introducing play schemas, 9 common patterns that can help to demystify your toddler’s seemingly random behaviors. And you guessed it: this is one. We call it the trajectory schema. If you take nothing else away from this post, let it be this: your little one doesn’t throw things because they are misbehaving or “bad.” Babies throw things because they are babies. And they are learning as they do so. Learning about cause and effect. Learning about gravity. Learning what (and practicing something new) they can do with their bodies. Learning hand-eye coordination. It’s a completely normal part of development. And the fascination won’t last forever. The real question is, how do you manage it? First, be proactive. Expect that anything your little one handles might reasonably be thrown or dropped. So choose wisely, avoiding items that are valuable or might pose a danger to them or others if they suddenly took flight. Second, depending on the age of your child, begin introducing some natural consequences. Put the toy/object away temporarily after it is thrown (if throwing it is dangerous or inappropriate). And involve your child in the subsequent clean-up. You can also redirect. Explain which things are and are not for throwing. Model the correct use of these objects. Finally, lean into it. Recognizing that young children are drawn to throwing, provide items that are safe and acceptable to throw. Soft toys. Socks. Balls. And look for opportunities and settings for your little one to explore this urge safely and appropriately. How did you manage your toddler’s throwing phase? Welcome your tips and tricks!
