🚨 ROCKSTAR ADJUSTED ITS MODDING RULES RIGHT BEFORE GTA... 6 👀 • Single player PC mods are still generally tolerated • They need to be non commercial • They must respect third party IP • Mods cannot interfere with GTA Online or Rockstar online services • No cheat menus or tools designed to affect multiplayer • No importing Rockstar maps, characters or other IP between games • Rockstar’s existing policy also excludes creating unauthorized new games, stories, missions or maps from its IP • Monetized multiplayer modding is being pushed through Rockstar’s licensed Creator Platform ecosystem • FiveM and RedM now sit inside that official ecosystem • Rockstar’s Cfx Marketplace already allows creators to sell approved server assets and resources • Rockstar can still object to or take action against individual projects ROCKSTAR SHOWS THST THEY DON'T WANT TO KILL MODDING. IF ANYTHING IT'S EVEN MORE SUPPORT TO PC GAMERS👀show more

GTA 6 PC modding won’t be like GTA V.... Rockstar’s updated modding policies seem to draw a pretty clear line: you can add your own things to the world, but you can’t use or recreate Rockstar’s own content. So custom cars, clothes and scripts should still be fine, while official story content, characters, maps from other Rockstar games, unofficial ports like mobile ports, and other forms of unauthorized monetization are off the table. And honestly, I can kinda see their perspective. People are already sharing early GTA 6 map mods in GTA V… so I can’t even complain lol. The community spent a decade turning GTA V into an entirely different game. That doesn’t mean mods are dead, it just means Rockstar wants to keep the core of GTA 6 theirs.show more

“Why hasn’t Rockstar added crossplay?” PC lobbies in GTA Online:

Funny I was just watching this Unreal Engine 5... tech demo that was released back in 2025 and when they got to this part I remember thinking to myself "huh, they've finally managed to do what Rockstar Games did back in PS3 era" Its no surprise that Rockstar Games have always managed to raise the bar when it comes to realism in video-games and GTA 6 will feel like a generational jump compared to current AAA games I have also yet to see a AAA game that does ragdoll physics as well as GTA 4 did back in 2008 (excluding games from Rockstar of course)show more
