The use of Russian flags by Nigerian protesters (in... Kano) is spreading, and this is potentially dangerous. It now appears that this may be an organised campaign orchestrated by malign actors. I have seen names, faces and voices that don't look Nigerian among those advocating for carrying Russian flags. I urge protesters to be cautious and not allow themselves to be manipulated by forces of instability with their own sinister agendas. Carrying another country's flag is the opposite of freedom and will only complicate our situation further. I call on the government of Kano, protest organisers and all well-meaning citizens to call for a stop to this. Simultaneously, the Tinubu administration must take urgent steps to play its part. It's time to demonstrate that democracy and Western systems can work. This cannot be achieved by insisting on policies that exacerbate already dire economic conditions. Immediate action is needed to properly and sustainably address widespread hunger and frustration. Only then can we stop the protests and prevent their infiltration.show more

Hamas is withholding the aid, letting their people suffer, using civilians as human shields, doing everything to exploit them, while they hide in their tunnels. Meanwhile, the IDF is halting operations DAILY to allow aid distribution, risking their lives to help civilians, because Israel values life. The media won't tell you this. But the facts speak for themselves. Israel is doing everything to help Gazans, even in the midst of war. Hamas is doing everything to exploit them. The international community needs to step up. Our family didn’t invade Australia 🇦🇺 They came here... with nothing from Italy 🇮🇹 Greece 🇬🇷 and Poland 🇵🇱 after their land had been invaded by war, destroying thousands of years of culture and monuments in the process. They left their land and came to Australia to build a better life for their children. Australia Day for our family and many others doesn’t celebrate the landing of the first fleet. It celebrates the life we have collectively built over 70 years here in Australia, and the multicultural society we have contributed to. Israel's impunity must end. The UN charter stipulates that... all security council resolutions are legally binding under international law. One of the conditions of being accepted into the UN is that member states should adhere to UN resolutions. Any country that is no consistent and regular in not abiding by international law and UN resolutions, should indeed be expelled from the UN. Israel is the most flagrant abuser of UN resolutions, by far, as of 1948, Israel has disregarded roughly 450 to 550 United Nations General Assembly resolutions, has been the subject of more than 230 United Nations Security Council resolutions, rejected and failed to implement 32, and as of 2006, Israel had been condemned in 112 resolutions by the United Nations Human Rights Council. Since 1972, there have been 59 vetoes on Israel-related resolutions. It’s been 54 years from 1972 until that 59th veto in late 2025. That's basically once a year. Once a year for 54 years, the UN has asked about Israel and the security council has blocked it. Every single one of those Israel related resolutions was blocked by the United States. Since 2023, Israel has defied all UN Security Council resolutions on Gaza. The Security Council passed ceasefire resolutions and Israel disobey it. The International Court of Justice ordered Israel to stop preventing delivery of needed aid, and Israel disobey it. The Hague demanded this. Geneva demanded this. The human conscience demanded this. Yet Israel continues to disobey it. If the world is concerned in secret nuclear programs, there's a country that doesn't allow any IAEA inspectors, with a UN security council resolution 487 in 1981 says, "calls upon Israel urgently to place its nuclear facilities under the safeguards of the IAEA." Israel refuses. Israel behaves like a rogue state within the UN, yet its impunity has gone beyond mere violations of UN resolutions... Israel has killed—deliberately, in most—a record number of UN staff. Israel has murdered nearly 400 UN personnel—serving under the UN’s blue flag—since October 7, 2023, alone; roughly ten times higher than the UN casualties in all other global conflict zones combined over the same period.. For the first time in the history of the United Nations. Israel takeover of UN headquarters and raised Israeli flag over the buildings. Israel has attacked UN food distribution centers, shelled UN schools that people are using as a shelter, targeted UN convoys carrying Humanitarian aid workers heading to starving children. Israel has also targeted medical supplies warehouse and hospitals, and bombarded UN facilities; at least 420 distinct UN installations have been directly hit, damaged, or occupied by Israel across Palestine and Lebanon, since October 7, 2023. To date, Israel has killed seven UN peacekeepers and wounded nearly a dozen others wearing UN uniform under serving under UN flag in Lebanon. Attacking UN peacekeepers is an abomination which was in the past perpetrated by terrorists, but never by members of the UN. Some of you pretended to care what the UN had to say in 1948; do you care that the UN of today has had more UN personnel killed in the last three years than have been killed or lost in any other single conflict or crisis in the entire 81-year history of the United Nations. Israel has violated international law, international humanitarian law, human rights law, the Geneva and Vienna Conventions, the International Criminal Court (ICC) and Rome Statute, the 1994 Convention, the UN Charter and Security Council resolutions... Israel has violated all international norms to date... Any country that is no consistent and regular in not abiding by international law and UN resolutions, should indeed be expelled from the UN. The Use of White Phosphorus in This Morning’s Drone... Attack by Iran Against the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK) In its drone attack carried out in the early hours of today against a base of the Kurdistan National Army (SMK), the Islamic Republic of Iran used munitions containing white phosphorus. Based on eyewitness observations, medical examinations of nine wounded Peshmerga fighters, and the extensive fires caused at the targeted site, the munitions employed in the drone attack contained white phosphorus. This act is not only a grave crime but also a clear violation of the fundamental principles of international humanitarian law. The use of munitions that inflict severe incendiary effects and cause widespread harm to people and the environment is incompatible with humanitarian principles and the international legal obligations of states. This crime must not go unanswered by the international community. We call upon the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the United Nations Security Council, the United Nations Human Rights Council, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and all relevant international institutions to take the necessary legal measures to hold the Islamic Republic of Iran accountable. We also call on the Government of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government to uphold their responsibility to protect the security, rights, and environment of their citizens against Iran’s military aggression and cross-border attacks.
