Ryan Timms and Kyle Larson exchanged words in Osky... victory lane: “I’ll remember that,” Timms said he told Larson, referring to the race-winning slider that knocked his nose wing down. Larson’s response, according to Timms: “I remember your Midget résumé.” “Those had nothing to do with you,” Timms fired back as he subtly threw up his hands at Larson — who was referring to Timms’ prior run-ins in his Midget days.show more

Ryan Caldwell had visited an Animal Shelter in Portland,... Oregon three times before that Tuesday. He wasn't sure why he kept going back. He wasn't in a position to adopt - his lease had a strict no-pets clause and he hadn't worked up the nerve to ask his landlord about it yet. He told himself he was just looking. On his third visit, a staff member suggested he spend some time in kennel nine with a two-year-old grey mixed breed named Otis who had been there six weeks and was struggling with the transition. Ryan said sure. He sat on the floor of the kennel for about twenty minutes while Otis slowly worked up to him — sniffing from a distance, then closer, then curling up against Ryan's leg. Ryan scratched behind his ears and they sat together in the kennel while the shelter noise went on around them. Then visiting hours started winding down and Ryan stood up to leave. He turned toward the door. And Otis wrapped both front paws around his ankle and held on. Not jumping. Not barking. Just gripping, face pressed against Ryan's shin, shaking in a steady, quiet way that Ryan said was harder to look at than anything loud or dramatic would have been. "There was nothing frantic about it," Ryan said. "It was just — please. That's all it was." Ryan stood in that kennel doorway for a long time. He didn't pull away. When he finally left, he went directly to his car and called his landlord. His landlord said yes. Ryan was back at the shelter the following morning when it opened. Otis came home that afternoon. The lease now has a signed pet addendum clipped to the front page. Sometimes the most important question doesn't need words. It just needs someone willing to hold on until the answer changes.show more

Umashi Dhlamini has struggled to explain his response to... a video in which he says Fannie Nkosi has “captured” Gareth Mnisi. He claims that when he referred to “uJuda wethu,” he was expressing gratitude towards Mnisi, adding that the Tshwane CFO appeared happy next to Nkosi in the video. When Commissioner Sesi Baloyi questioned his statement that “uJuda wethu will do great things for us,” Dhlamini said he was referring to Nkosi when he used the word “us.” He further explained that the “great things” Mnisi would do for Nkosi included mentoring him and offering advice. #KayaNews #MadlangaCommission TTshow more

We’ve seen guys like Judge, Stanton, Wells and others... tinker with their stances to get into a better hitting position to attack strikes in the zone. When a guy like Volpe has struggled to hit consistently for his first 3 years, is constantly late on mid-velocity heaters in the middle of the zone and is constantly off-balance when he misses the off-speed stuff; you think to take a look at his pre-pitch habits especially what he’s doing with his hands and stride, and consider eliminating some of the unnecessary movements to simplify things and be ready to attack a pitch in the strike zone sooner. Volpe starts with his hands high above his head with some waggle to probably keep his hands moving and stay in rhythm, then as he strides he drops his hands into the slot while he loads, then wraps his hands behind him as he strides and keeps his weight back on his backside. That front foot needs to get down early as he gets his hands back to be ready to smoke something in the zone. Why hasn’t someone suggested dropping his hands pre-pitch in his stance to get them into the slot early, keep them back to prevent wrapping, and cut out one less moving part to get him better ready to attack pitches in the zone? He can even still have some waggle back there if he prefers to keep his hands moving. In theory if his hands are down and back already, all he needs to do is get his front foot down in time? It’s worth a try lolshow more

Everybody always thought Rick Ross was just as flashy... in real life as he is online. But then he went to meet Elon Musk for financial advice, and wasn’t wearing any jewelry. According to the story, Elon barely said anything during the meeting. He told later told Rick that he didn’t share what he really wanted to because French Montana, who came with him, wouldn’t stop showing off his chains and watch to the camera. In Elon’s view, that suggested he wasn’t as ready to receive the advice as Rick was.show more

Just remember that time at Tencent Starlight Awards at... the end of 2019, at the closure of VIP awards, all artists were focused to the camera, and #XiaoZhan was the only one turning back and bowing to the audience, thanking his fans. Since then, nothing changed in him, even if his career has skyrocketed, he is still the same humble person who bows to the audience and who cares of his fans ❤️show more

Nice Nature really loved carrots. When he returned to... his home ranch, he was the Carrot Gang. His foster parent member told me that back then, if you didn’t bring a carrot, he’d butt you with his nose.💢🐽 However, when I met him in his later years, he seemed very calm, perhaps due to his age. He was an adorable old horse, always staying near his buddy Meteor Shower. His grave is away from the ranch and is private. Only his foster parent member is allowed to visit it. The video was filmed in 2022. #nicenatureshow more

This is how I remember Charlie, and always will.... He'd lost his voice and asked me to speak for him at some California events. It was so incredible to see the effect he had on people. His smile and the light in his eyes. He was with me on day 1, and I know he's with me now. He always said he had "a heart for California" and wanted so much to see us win and turn our beautiful state around. We will, Charlie. We will.show more

Colin Kaepernick reveals he spoke to Jay-Z on the... phone and said he disagreed with his deal with the NFL and felt that he had sold out the culture. Let’s just say that the students at the Clemson-South... Carolina game were not fans of Trump. Below you will see Trump getting booed and shouted down. Just like large crowds of people going to his rallies means nothing in regards to his chances in 2024, neither does this. Biden had the best response to Seth Meyer’s question... about his age, invoking Trump’s history of cheating on his wives: Meyers: “How do you address concerns about your age?” Biden: “First, you have to look at the other guy. He’s about as old as me but he can't even remember his wife's name. It's also about how old your ideas are. He wants to take us back 60 years. "On Thursday he called me to sit with his... friends, something he usually wouldn't do. He told me how proud he was of me, that I was a fighter and that I was his pride. I didn't understand why he was telling me all this.” Bar Asraf's sister Lihi shared a memory of her brother. This weekend, Bar took his own life at the grave of his girlfriend, Liron Barda z"l. Liron was murdered by Hamas at the Nova massacre on October 7th. Last Wednesday, Bar danced at his brother Maor's wedding. Family members say he was happy, sang, hugged everyone, and was moved by the celebration. On Saturday, the family had gathered at their home. "At noon, he wanted to go to the pool," recalled Lihi. "We said we didn't have a membership, so he said, 'Okay.' When we couldn't find him, we started searching on foot. We thought about where he might be, and we said we'd go to Liron's grave. At first, I didn't see him. Then I saw him lying there. I shouted, 'Bar, get up!'" "Only then did I understand what had happened. At first, I was even afraid that they had killed him. I didn't understand what I was seeing." Bar's family said he and Liron were soulmates. "Liron would come to us all the time, especially on Tuesdays when Mom would make couscous. When he was on a trip to Colombia, she even flew in to surprise him. They were soulmates." Lihi shared that after Liron's murder, "At first he didn't sleep for a week, didn't talk, didn't eat, and didn't laugh. Then slowly he began to recover." "He went back to laughing, talking to people, and spreading Liron's love. He would organize meals for soldiers in her memory, and on Passover he organized the distribution of packages to the needy. He was a person who was always helping others." Bar's mother shared: "Liron was everything to him. She was his best friend and his psychologist. It was important to him to tell her about everything he did. After she was murdered, he would come to the cemetery almost every day. I told him not to go all the time, but only when he really felt the need to go and talk to her, and he listened." "Two months ago he was sitting in the living room and crying. I asked him, 'What happened?' and he told me: 'Mom, it's hard for me without Liron. There's no one to replace her. I miss her.' He hugged me and cried a cry I'll never forget, loudly." "Bar was a boy who loved life. He had a huge heart. He cared so much for his siblings and supported them," Bar's mother said. "On Shabbat, a few hours before leaving the house, he sat with me, ate some of the cakes I made and said to me: 'Mom, only you can organize something like [the wedding celebration], and make sure that nothing is missing.' Then I told him I was going to rest. He told me, 'You deserve it' - and when I went to bed, he just left." Bar's mother said to everyone mourning him: "Remember Bar not because of his tragic end, but because of his huge heart.”show more

Today I have to reach another city for an... important work. Nearby petrol pumps had no petrol due to the ongoing #TruckDriversProtest so I was a bit tensed as to how I would reach my destination. I decided to wake up at 04:00 AM and reach the highway to take lift. Suddenly a truck stopped and driver offered me lift. He told me that he is from Rajasthan and he is going to return this truck to the owner. He told that today this is his last ride and from tomorrow he will do some other work. I asked, why? For which he replied it’s because of BJP, BjP has made laws in which we have to pay 10 lakhs and 10 year imprisonment if my truck meets with any accident. He told that he earns only 15k per month and doesn’t have his own house, he can’t pay this much. He started crying, I gave him some money when I reached the destination for the ride, that he denied And when I was getting down from the truck he said with tears, Babu ji don’t vote for bjp if you care for poor people in Bharat . I promised and left his truck with tears in my eyes 💔show more

I told you all Speaker Mike Johnson was full... of Shit! And I was attacked for not supporting him as Speaker of the House! On July 20th he said that Joe Biden and his family are “hopelessly corrupt”. Today, Johnson said “There is insufficient evidence at the moment to initiate formal impeachment proceedings.” Remember when I told you all that the House Republicans was never going to Impeach Biden? And to think that Mike Johnson had the audacity to go on Sean Hannity 🇺🇸 and gaslight the American people into thinking that he actually cared about accountability and truth, because we live in a Constitutional Republic. MIKE JOHNSON IS A RINO CONMAN! I was right! I am always right… One of these days people will admit that.show more
