Morning Update Focus: North Georgia down to the Metro.... Last night behaved about as expected. Lighter precipitation fell across a wide footprint that was affected by CAD. This wide footprint was well forecasted by the NWS as you see the footprint still slightly past I-75 and south of I-20 on the early run of the radar. We have maybe a lull in precipitation, though I doubt it will be a complete lull before the line of thunderstorms and yes, thunder-ice moves through the area stacking ice totals quickly. The warm nose will slowly begin to lift north and eastward, however as you see portrayed by the 10z HRRR, the areas that are CAD prone never rise above freezing (I’m gonna hold off on gloating about calling that one cause it hasn’t happened yet), while the heart of the line pushes through. This is going to be interesting I’m about to get outside and check. I’m expecting to see around .25-.40 already in Lumpkin County. But let me get the morning going (coffee!)show more

Strong thunderstorms have already developed near Redding, California, and a series of embedded impulses are rotating around the main low axis off the coast of Humboldt County this afternoon. This storm system will undergo a brief 12 to 24-hour intensification process before hitting San Francisco, Santa Rosa, and Sacramento late Thursday afternoon. It will bring isolated strong to severe thunderstorm conditions. A large surface cold front will develop late Friday morning as the low axis trajectory slides down the coast towards Pismo Beach, California by Friday at dawn. Severe Weather Risk In Central And Southern California on Friday. The atmospheric conditions will become increasingly unstable, giving way to thunderstorms from central California to San Diego. The cold pool of air aloft, at minus 28 Celsius above 25,000FT, will create volatile weather conditions with the possibility of pea-sized hail and brief heavy rainfall in some areas. The air mass will be very cold, supporting a dusting of snow near the Grapevine and Cajon Pass. Temperatures will drop into the 40s and 50s, and the 30s near the mountains by Friday midday. As snow levels have been trending downward and hit rock bottom, there may be some isolated areas at 2,000-foot elevation along the San Gabriel’s and parts of the San Bernardino mountains that could see a dusting of snow. Even some dusting of snow in the high desert cannot be ruled out. There is a high confidence of elevated water spouts developing from San Luis Obispo to San Diego coastal zones, especially since one of the embedded disturbances will arrive on Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM. This is also the best opportunity for ample early April sun angle, which will give way to stronger convection across our region. Here is a 3D visualization of the coming solar... storm using model parameters from NASA's run, NOAA's run (shown below), and the coronagraph views from STEREO-A/COR2 and SOHO/LASCO. The storm is expected to hit Earth early December 9. The 3D visualization clearly shows the low inclination orientation of the solar slinky core inside the larger storm envelope. Of course, the earlier eruption that erupted to the northeast, might deflect this structure a little bit, but likely that will only make the structure move more towards the ecliptic plane, which will give us a larger chance of crossing through the solar slinky core. One nice thing about low inclination flux rope cores is that they almost ALWAYS have southward field in them at some point. So this is good news for aurora photographers-- as long as this solar storm stays true to its launch trajectory and inclination, we could see some organized southward pointed magnetic field. Considering this solar storm is fast-- that usually indicates the storm will not deviate much from its original launch trajectory! Opened a terminal from my phone and decided to see how long I could last Lasted 2 days. Not just lasted but made $840 What works from a phone: 1. Set up Claude Code through SSH in 10 minutes while riding the subway 2. Get Telegram pushes every time a wallet enters a position 3. Copy a trade with 1 tap without taking out my earbuds 4. Launch scripts by voice through Shortcuts 5. Monitor 3 wallets simultaneously without a single lag 6. Get a morning report at 7 AM as a regular message 7. Rebuild the bot when it crashed while sitting in a cab 8. Check PnL without opening a browser 9. Add a new wallet to tracking in 30 seconds 10. Set up auto-copying without confirmation on verified wallets 11. Get a full strategy breakdown of a wallet through Claude Code in a regular chat And here is what almost killed the deposit: 1. My finger slipped and I entered at twice the planned size. Did not notice for 20 minutes. Got lucky that the position ended up in profit but it could have gone very differently 2. The upcoming storm system is eerily reminiscent of March... of 1995. A snow-moving occluded front strengthened by a 130-knot plus westerly jet stream flowing across the Pacific will be centered over the Central Coast tonight into Friday. This condition will create an Atmospheric River (AR) that will produce moderate gale-force to fresh gale-force (32 to 46 mph with gusts to 55 mph) southerly winds and continuous moderate to heavy rain over a 24-hour period. NOAA’s HRRR (High Resolution Rapid Refresh) model indicates between 3 and 5 inches of rain for most of the coastal and inland valleys; however, orographic enhancement due to the southerly gales will produce between 5 and 10 increase of rain along many of the southerly facing slopes, such as portions of the Cuesta Grade. The Santa Lucia Mountains above Morro Bay, Cayucas, Cambria, San Simeon, and Big Sur could see over 15 inches of rainfall. Scattered rain showers will develop on Saturday, ending on Sunday into Monday. Another storm system is forecast to produce additional rain on Tuesday into Wednesday.
