On the show, Alicia explained why she does not like driving on highways. “I’ve gotten in accidents. I ran over a woman. I’ve almost driven off a bridge. So I’ve been there, done that with driving,” she said in a confessional. When Us Weekly spoke with Alicia ahead of the season, she clarified what actually happened and how it affected her. “I was driving about 15 miles per hour because I had just left a red light, and this woman suddenly dove in front of my car,” Alicia said. “It was life changing for me. It was crazy because for about 10 seconds, I thought I had killed someone.” She described it as “the worst feeling in the world” and said it has had a lasting impact on her driving. “I think that probably gave me PTSD,” she continued. “Accidents do happen, but it was just the worst.” Alicia also shared that she needs to take more classes before she feels comfortable driving on the highway again.
