We have 6 different models of CNC machines already... designed and validated for production but we would need crores to scale up production and offer it to other manufacturers. Hence, we only build machines for our own production facility. Capital is a bottleneck for us. Currently we just have a tiny space within our own factory which is our R&D lab. We are a team of mere three people. Scaling hardware isn’t easy but it’s something that must be done for us to truly be self-reliant. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre Each person is... allowed between 10 and 15 seconds inside Jesus' tomb. My kids and I went in and tried to absorb as much as we could in our allotted time. But the knock to leave never came, so we sat inside for almost 5 minutes. We came out on our own, and the priest had left, probably to use the restroom. A very cool experience.show more

Today we just installed the fourth CNC machine on... our shop floor which was built entirely in-house. If we hadn’t invested years into R&D and machine development, we’d still be importing this equipment and sending thousands of dollars out of the country for the same capability. Today, for this particular capacity, we operate more machines of our own design than imported ones. That shift wasn’t overnight and it didn’t come cheap. But it was worth it. It was all so we could build homes with... robots. All of our work in floorplan AI,and generative CAD modeling, we did all of that, just so that we could build homes with robots. Early on we talked to a robotics engineer from Katerra. It took them $750k to switch from one house to another house. It takes us 25 minutes, and that's if we had a big lunch. P.S. went up to our shop and took a bunch... of measurements of our actual press brake and fed it back to astra alongside > 1k bending jobs. took handful of back and forth prompting but now i can take a bending job that was generated from our press brake manufacturer's software, and reconstruct and replay it in our own internal software next step is to see if we can't skip their software all together and generate accurate bend programs ourselves. will unlock some interesting stuff if it works (it will)show more
