The IDF confirms carrying out several airstrikes in the... Gaza Strip overnight and this morning, in response to a "blatant violation" of the ceasefire yesterday. Among those killed in the strikes was a Hamas terrorist who infiltrated the Re'im military base during the October 7, 2023, onslaught, according to the IDF. The military says the strikes targeting terror operatives in northern Gaza, Gaza City, and Khan Younis came after five Palestinian gunmen emerged from a tunneland approached troops on the Israeli side of the ceasefire line last night. The targeted terror operatives "had recently been working to restore the capabilities of the terror organizations in the Strip and were advancing terror attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel," the IDF says. One of the strikes killed Ahmad Bayouk, who the IDF says raided the Re'im military base on October 7. Meanwhile, the IDF also announces that a strike on Monday, in response to an attack by gunmen on troops in southern Gaza's Rafah a day prior, killed a Palestinian Islamic Jihad commander. Azem Abu Huli, who headed Islamic Jihad's elite forces in the Strip's center, was responsible for supplying weapons to other terror operatives, as well as advancing attacks against troops, the army says. A notable event in Gaza today: A Palestinian militia... backed by Israeli support raided Gaza City's Al-Katiba district, captured a senior Hamas Internal Security official, then covered its withdrawal with heavy airstrikes. The IDF said in a statement that it took Mu'in al-Arabid, head of Hamas's General Security apparatus since October 2023. However, a Hamas-linked source disputed the claim, saying only a lower-ranking officer was seized while the real target got away. Notably, Israeli officials and news outlets said the raid was actually carried out by an Israeli-backed anti-Hamas Palestinian militia under IDF Southern Command, not Israeli troops, with the IDF limited to air cover. Arabic news outlets reported the raiding force reportedly disguised itself using a bus and motorcycles before being detected and ambushed at close range. Hamas's security media frames the whole operation as largely foiled, claiming it captured three alleged collaborators and inflicted casualties on the raiders. Israeli comedian detained at Toronto airport following complaint by... Hind Rajab Foundation —— Israeli comedian Guy Hochman was questioned for around six hours on Monday after arriving in Canada, following a complaint lodged by the Hind Rajab Foundation. Sources close to Hochman told Israel's Channel 12 that he was detained upon landing at Toronto airport and released only after intervention by the Israeli consulate. The Hind Rajab Foundation said last week it had submitted a criminal complaint alleging “military propaganda and incitement linked to Israel’s war on Gaza,” referring to videos Hochman filmed with Israeli soldiers during Israel's war on Gaza. The group says that “these activities led to his recruitment into a role linked to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, an unusual position for a civilian entertainer. “Daddy, why are your hands filled with blood?” Warning... 🚨 distressing content but please read. Tsachi Idan’s body has been confirmed to be returned to Israel tomorrow. October 7th 2023 Gazan terrorists shot his 18 year old daughter Mayan in the head right in front of him. They held the family in their own home with Tsachi’s hands covered in the blood of his dead daughter while his other children and wife cried huddled together. The video of Tsachi crying over Mayan’s dead body is out there but out of respect I will not share it. The Gazan terrorists then got the family’s phones and live streamed it to Facebook. The videos below are from that stream. They then kept him hostage in Gaza and later released a propaganda video of him. We don’t know how long Tsachi survived after that video but 500 days later, his body is returning to his family in a coffin. His cousin Adam Ma'anit lives in Brighton UK, him and his wife Heidi Bachram have endlessly fought for the release of the hostages. They are in Israel now still, even after Tsachi’s death has been confirmed, still fighting for the release of other hostages. That’s who these people are. Wonderful people.
