Summer Cammy low-res preview Another EEVEE test. I fixed... the simulation issues and got a good workflow for working fast with this rig. Low-res render at only 16 samples. Besides the film grain/music, everything was done in Blender+EEVEE in realtime, including compositing/gradeshow more

Okay, Trekfriendos, I'm done with this for now! I'm... very happy with the results, so much so, I splurged on a low-noise, high-sample 25-hour render! Now I just gotta update the "retaliation" shot to match the new phaser and shield effects. 4K in the 🧵!show more

🎉 5k PR: 16:57! Massive 48 second PR from... 2 months ago. It’s still sinking in that I hit this goal, especially in humid conditions. It took everything I had, including a 77 second kick for the last 400m to bring it under 17. I put in the work, prayed, and we got it done ✝️show more

2024 LHP Mitchell Tarnowski 1st in depth look at... the southpaw and it was impressive. 6-foot-2, clean arm, delivery works and showed feel for the zone. FB was 85-87 mph and played up / got consistent late offerings from hitters. Also showed feel for spin, breaking off a low 70s breaker with good depth.show more

TIME SENSITIVE. Couple months ago I posted a google... form for a free model for a 12hr speedrun and got 1600 submissions (INCLUDES BOTH ART AND RIG). This time, the doc will ONLY be open for an hour since this was posted. Link is in the comments. Good luck (Bellow are the results of my last 12hr speedrun, model was given for free to @Ramrancherr )show more

During an exclusive Zoom call with Universal Music Indonesia,... D4vd mentioned the process of working on Always Love with #Hyunjin. D4vd: I had honor of going to their (Skz) show at Sofi Stadium and i got to meet him (Hyunjin) there and i was like "yo we have to make a song". He was like "let's make the song". So we approach the studio, recorded it, and it was literally done in like an hour. He's so good!show more

hi all, excited to join! i'm building an expressive... mini "shoggoth" robot which will eventually be hooked up to gpt4o realtime voice. i'm currently working on the low-level policies, which are trained in a mujoco simulation with RL. to delay working on raw-pixels for now, i trained a pose-estimation model using deeplabcut and triangulate the position in 3d space using the stereo cameras. eventually, i'll use gpt4o's tool calling capabilities to activate several of these policies (closed and open loop) based on the dialog flow! captions: manual actuation of the tentacle / 3d pose estimation / target designshow more

The #1 ranked amateur golfer in the world. Got... the chance to film a video with Jackson Koivun and he was unreal. His stats have him ranked higher than Tiger in a lot of areas. He’s finished top 10 in multiple PGA Tour events as well. The real question is will he go back to college or turn pro? This was a dirty low cut wedge. Can’t wait for y’all to see this one Mondayshow more

You might not believe me but the 3D in... this video was procedurally generated using Claude Code in blender. The main things I manually worked on were some texture changes as well as lighting and compositing/colorgrade in post later super cool that ai can help with stuff like this now, especially for a process that would usually take multiple days or even weeks if done traditionally Lmk if you'd want a guide on my process / how I did thisshow more

Tyler Fay on his start today: "I mean, it... was kind of a disappointing outing for me. Didn't really have the slider working at all. But they had a lot of really tough ABs early in the game and kind of just got some momentum built up. And yeah, I think they did a good job hitting everything."show more

In response to kache remarkable port of Box3D to... GPU, here's my personal performance test for low level optimizations (still plenty left to do). Currently for 170k deterministic GPU chicken simulation(they spawn another chicken on touch and try to keep distance form each other) the avg step takes ~3.9 ms (250 fps without rendering) (profiling shot attached). This is still to slow. We need to cut it to 2 ms to be able to run it at consumer grade hardwareshow more

So remember that time machine I told you about?... I managed to sneek out another video from my visit to the future.. this time I captured video of a 3d artist creating assets for a short commercial. They sculpted the bird in the video with nothing but two controllers which they used to manipulate generative matter in 3d. The AI model changed in realtime and adopted their style of work, both based on the work they did on the scene, and on reference images they gave the system. Seeing the 3d model transform in realtime as they were working on it was incredible. When it started moving and reacted to their instructions, I knew it was time to return to the present :D #art #aishow more

President Trump confirms that Tulsi Gabbard was at the... FBI raid in Georgia and says that “some interesting things” are coming💥 Reporter: “Mr. President, what was Tulsi Gabbard doing at an election center in Georgia today?” POTUS: “She’s working very hard on trying to keep the election safe, and she’s done a very good job. And as you know, they got into the votes. You’ve got a signed judges order in Georgia and you’re gonna see some interesting things happening.” We’ve waited a long time for this. 😓 Air India 🇮🇳 Flight AI171 with fully loaded... Boeing 787-7 Dreamliner fatal accident: I‘m an airline pilot with >15‘000h of experience and a physics institute: My brief PRELIMINARY analysis of the visible facts from the video of the takeoff: * The flaps are only slightly extended, presumably to position 1 instead of 5. * The landing gear is still extended, which should have been retracted at this altitude and causes additional drag. * The aircraft is at a high angle of attack, which confirms the insufficient flap setting. * From the video and witness accounts, only low engine noise is audible. * Neither smoke nor fire is visible. * An engine failure is less likely. The most probable cause is presumably a human factor, an incorrectly chosen, insufficient flap setting for takeoff, and consequently an inadequately selected thrust. In this context, the correlated speeds were too low because they were calculated for a larger flap setting or a lighter aircraft. As a result, the aircraft took off with insufficient speed and intentionally but falsely derated thrust, was therefore on the unstable side, and rapidly lost more speed and altitude due to the additional failure to retract the landing gear in a timely manner, leading to a subsequent stall at low altitude and crash. For the experts: the aircraft got onto the wrong side of the speed vs drag curve and maneuvered itself into a corner from where there is no escape. Another possible cause could also have been an incorrect input of a wrong takeoff weight into the Flight Management System, resulting in too low thrust and too low speeds. The pilots got startled after takeoff, couldn’t wrap their head around what went wrong and incorrectly prioritized making an emergency call instead of flying the aircraft first, manually increasing thrust immediately to maximum, and retracting the landing gear. In summary of this very early and preliminary assessment (your confidence level should be as low as mine): The most probable cause is human error 😓 - as most of the time these days. Not because the pilots got worse (although that effect can be observed as well with prioritization of diversity over competence) - but because technology got so much better.show more

Robora Sim: A PyBullet-Powered Environment for Learning Robotic Physical... Intelligence We are currently building our Robora simulation environment setup for our sim based learning, leveraging PyBullet, an industry-standard physics engine widely used in AI-driven robotics research and development. The environment is optimized with GPU-accelerated learning algorithms, enabling high-speed imitation learning and reinforcement learning within a safe and controlled virtual setup before shipping out to real world. This simulation platform allows our models to learn, adapt, and generalize across different robot morphologies, terrain types and task objectives - all before deployment to the real world. At it's core, the system combines a VLA-powered high-level planner with low-level motion control algorithms, working cohesively to produce emergent, physically intelligent behaviors. This synergy between simulation, learning, and real-world transfer marks a major step forward in our pursuit of adaptive and intelligent robotic systems. Through advanced domain randomization and synthetic data generation, the Robora Simulation Environment ensures that policies trained in simulation transfer effectively to real-world robots, minimizing the sim-to-real gap. Moreover, users will be able to test and integrate their own hardware kits within selected simulation environments in the Robora Dapp, ensuring seamless compatibility and safer real-world implementation.show more

This chick reminds me of a girl I knew... in my kendo class back in the early 2000s who was Japanese and English. Her dad was Japanese and made her learn her mother's English. Dude was an Anglophile. We were stuck at a hotel for a tournament, and I couldn't watch more than 20 minutes of "Braveheart" because he wouldn't shut up about how everything was historically wrong with the film.show more
