🇺🇦🇪🇸 A BMP-1/2 infantry fighting vehicle equipped with the... Guardian 30 combat module produced by the Spanish company Escribano Mechanical & Engineering has been spotted for the first time in Ukrainian service. 🔻 The Guardian 30 is a remotely controlled combat module armed with a 30mm automatic cannon and a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun. It is equipped with a modern fire control and targeting system. 🔻 For reference: Negotiations between Ukraine and the Spanish company began in May 2025. One of the discussed issues was the localization of production of Guardian 30 combat modules in Ukraine. This upgrade represents an important step in modernizing Ukraine’s large fleet of Soviet-era BMP vehicles. The installation of the advanced Spanish Guardian 30 module significantly increases the vehicle’s firepower and situational awareness. The talks on local production also show Ukraine’s long-term strategy to reduce dependence on foreign supplies and develop its own defense industry. Video is generated by grok AIshow more

Tesla’s new Megapack factory in Houston will be their... most capable yet, with an annual production capacity of 50 GWh—25% more than their other two Megapack factories. Once fully ramped, Tesla’s three Megafactories will produce a combined 130 GWh of battery energy storage a year, enough to power ~50 million homes. That's nearly 4.2x more battery energy storage than Tesla deployed in all of 2024. The Houston facility will be the first to manufacture the all-new Megapack 3 in late 2026. This product will partly source LFP cells from Tesla's brand new LFP manufacturing plant in Nevada (next to Giga Nevada). The Nevada facility will begin production in the coming months, making it the first time Tesla will produce and source LFP cells domestically — and from its own operations. 🚨 BREAKING: DRONE PRODUCTION FACILITY HIT IN IRAN Reports... indicate that a drone manufacturing unit linked to the Iranian regime has been targeted in Isfahan during ongoing U.S. and Israeli air operations. Isfahan is a critical hub for Iran’s military industry, housing facilities tied to missile systems, airbases, and drone production used by the regime and its regional proxies. The strike comes amid a broader campaign aimed at degrading Iran’s military infrastructure — particularly its drone and missile capabilities, which have been used to threaten Israel, U.S. forces, and Gulf states. In recent years, Iranian-designed drones such as the Shahed series have become a central weapon in Tehran’s strategy across multiple conflicts. If confirmed, this latest strike would mark another significant blow to the regime’s ability to produce and deploy these systems. The battle over Iran’s military infrastructure is clearly intensifying.show more

Unusual Activity at the Tunnel Linked to the ENTC... Facility in Esfahan - prior to US Strikes An unusual development has occurred at the tunnel connected to the ENTC facility in Esfahan. As no analysts or official IDF statements have addressed this so far, I decided to take a closer look. In the satellite images below, three main entrances to the underground complex can be identified. This facility is part of Iran’s uranium conversion program, where yellowcake is transformed into UF6 gas for subsequent enrichment at Natanz or Fordow. It is likely that this complex also serves as a storage site and possibly a redundancy facility for the surface-level operations. Based on low-resolution satellite imagery taken between June 17 and 22, the following observations can be made: Entrance 1 – Earthworks were detected along the northern approach to the entrance on June 20, followed shortly by similar activity on the southern side. It appears that the entrance itself was covered in the process. Entrance 2 – Earthworks began near a small adjacent opening and quickly extended to cover the entire access route, with the asphalt becoming fully concealed. It seems this entrance was also covered. Entrance 3 – The activity here is less clear. Earthmoving was observed along the access route, and in the latest image, the path appears significantly darker. It is uncertain whether the entrance was covered, but this remains a possibility. There is no indication that this tunnel was struck in the salvo of Tomahawk missiles launched by the U.S. Navy, although some media outlets reported that the site had indeed been hit. In summary, this tunnel — while not an enrichment facility — is connected to Iran’s nuclear program and appears to have survived the Israeli-American operation. The status of the equipment located beneath dozens of meters of bedrock remains unknown. I am awaiting higher-resolution imagery to confirm this analysis and will provide updates as new information becomes available.show more

🚨 PARKER SOLAR PROBE JUST FOUND HIGH-ENERGY PARTICLES NEAR... THE SUN THAT NO MODEL PREDICTED AND WE DON’T KNOW HOW THEY GOT SO ENERGETIC. During its close passes through the solar corona, NASA’s Parker Solar Probe detected protons accelerated to energies around 400 keV roughly 1,000 times higher than current models of magnetic reconnection at the heliospheric current sheet could explain. The particles appear to be trapped and energized inside magnetic islands that form and merge during reconnection events at the current sheet (the vast surface where the Sun’s magnetic field flips polarity). This mechanism was not expected to produce such high energies so close to the Sun. Why this matters: • It reveals a previously unknown or underestimated source of energetic particles right in the solar corona • Existing models of solar energetic particles have focused mainly on shocks from coronal mass ejections — this suggests reconnection can also be a powerful accelerator • The same process may be contributing more to coronal heating than previously calculated • It has implications for space weather forecasting, since these particles can affect spacecraft and astronauts The deeper implication: Parker is showing us that the physics of the near-Sun environment is more energetic and complex than our models assumed. Magnetic reconnection long known as an important process appears capable of accelerating particles to surprisingly high energies through the merging of magnetic islands. This doesn’t just tweak our understanding of the Sun; it may force revisions in how we model particle acceleration across many astrophysical environments. We’re still in the early stages of understanding what Parker is revealing, but it’s already clear that the corona is more violent and dynamic than we thought. How do you think this discovery might change our models of space weather or solar physics in the coming years? Follow for more updates from Parker Solar Probe and the evolving picture of our Sun.show more

❗️❗️🇺🇦🇷🇺 SBU strikes Russia’s Vtorovo oil pumping station for... the second time in a month, targeting key fuel supply lines to Moscow during Zelensky’s 40-day operation. The SBU struck the oil product pumping station “Vtorovo”, which supplies Moscow with fuel, for the second time in a month. Within the framework of the 40-day influence operation set by President Zelensky, during the implementation of the set tasks, fighters of the SBU’s special unit Alpha carried out successful strikes on the linear-production-dispatch station “Vtorovo” located in Russia’s Vladimir region. Through this station, diesel fuel is pumped into the Moscow ring oil product pipeline, from where it is distributed to large oil depots in the Moscow region. In addition, the station also ensures the export of petroleum products through the ports of the Baltic Sea. According to preliminary information, the SBU’s unmanned aerial vehicles struck the technical buildings of the facility, after which an explosion occurred. Previously, the SBU also carried out a drone attack on “Vtorovo” on June 10 of this year. The SBU states that it will continue special operations in the future against strategic facilities of Russia that ensure the functioning of the country’s military economy. The agency states that Russia must feel the consequences of aggression not only on the battlefield, but also on its own budget, logistics, and export revenues. According to their assessment, every damaged facility reduces the resources needed for waging war and increases the price for the Kremlin to continue aggression. Space objects such as meteoroids and asteroids move across... the solar system and can collide with both Earth and the Moon. However, the Moon shows far more visible impact marks on its surface. One main reason is that Earth has a thick atmosphere that protects the planet. When many meteoroids enter Earth’s atmosphere, they burn up due to friction before they can reach the ground. This process creates the bright streaks of light we call shooting stars. The Moon, however, has almost no atmosphere, so incoming space rocks are not slowed down or burned up. They travel directly to the lunar surface and strike it at very high speed. Each collision creates an impact crater, throwing dust and rocks outward from the impact point. Over billions of years, thousands of these impacts have covered the Moon with craters. Unlike Earth, the Moon also has no wind, water, or weather to erase these craters, so they remain visible for millions or even billions of years. This is why the Moon looks heavily cratered when we observe it from Earth through telescopes.show more

Maoist Weapons Manufacturing Facility Destroyed; Buried Maoist Materials Destroyed... by Gadchiroli Police and CRPF in Maharshtra During an operation based on confidential intelligence, security personnel destroyed various Maoist materials at the site. Maoist insurgency in Gadchiroli district has now been effectively eliminated, and the Maoist movement in the district has almost completely come to an end. In the past, Maoists used various types of weapons and explosive materials to target security forces and carry out acts of sabotage. Taking advantage of the remote forested areas along the interstate border, they manufactured these materials and secretly buried them underground in the forests. These caches were later used during events such as Maoist observance weeks, elections, and other occasions to launch attacks on security forces. Following successful operations conducted on 23 May and 27 May 2026, Gadchiroli Police and the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) once again carried out an effective operation on 27 June 2026, successfully recovering materials that Maoists had buried in the forest. According to the detailed report, Gadchiroli Police received confidential intelligence indicating that Maoists had established a weapons manufacturing site and hidden related materials in the Balbeda forest area along the Maharashtra–Chhattisgarh border. Acting on this information, on 26 June 2026, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police M. Ramesh, six joint teams from the Gadchiroli and Pranhita Special Operations Units, one Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) team, and a CRPF team were deployed to conduct a search operation in the forest. On 27 June 2026, after surrounding the area, the BDDS personnel carried out an intensive search. The operation led to the recovery of the following Maoist materials: One lathe machine weighing approximately 5–6 tonnes 150 Claymore and BGL (Barrel Grenade Launcher) pipes 220 12-bore gun barrels/pipes 20 rifle rods and metal strips Other Maoist-related materials Under the directions of senior officers, all the recovered Maoist materials were destroyed on the spot with the assistance of the personnel involved in the operation. The operation was conducted under the orders and guidance of Superintendent of Police M. Ramesh, and under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) Karthik Madhira, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Gokul Raj G., and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Operations) Vishal Nagargoje. Personnel from the Gadchiroli and Pranhita Special Operations Units, the Intelligence Cell, the BDDS, and the CRPF successfully carried out the mission. Superintendent of Police M. Ramesh commended all the personnel who participated in the operation for their successful efforts.show more

Most humanoid projects talk about real work. Very few... last an hour on a real line. This week I saw a case that matters for anyone building robots, perception, or physical AI. Kinisi deployed its first mobile manipulation system into a live recycling facility. Not a demo. Not a staged test. A real production line with real output pressure. Why this matters if you want robotics to deliver real value on your floor: • Handles mixed glass with random poses and no fixed fixtures. • Runs real grasp selection under noise, vibration and production variability. • Maintains throughput while avoiding breakage on a delicate material. • Shows mobile manipulation doing actual shift work instead of controlled lab runs. Kinisi published a video that shows what the robot sees and how sensor data turns into action. This is the part most teams struggle to explain to customers, so the educational angle is useful for anyone working on adoption. On top of this, the team signed a pilot with a global automotive manufacturer to explore humanoid use cases in production. The direction is clear. Wheeled mobility (not legs!) plus strong perception seems to be shaping a large part of industrial humanoids right now. I know Brennand from earlier conversations and from our podcast session, and I am always glad to see European teams push the category forward. Wishing the Kinisi team continued success. —- Weekly robotics and AI insights. Subscribe free:show more

🚨🇺🇸🇺🇦 ZELENSKY: AMERICA’S BIGGEST RETURN ON SUPPORTING UKRAINE IS... COMBAT EXPERIENCE. The Ukrainian president argued that the United States has gained something impossible to replicate in peacetime: firsthand knowledge from the largest conventional war in Europe in decades. According to Volodymyr Zelensky, U.S. military leaders have already acknowledged the value of the battlefield experience gained through the war in Ukraine. “America received something exclusive without paying for it with the lives of its own soldiers. We paid that price,” Zelensky said. He added that without Ukraine’s wartime experience, it would have taken the United States another 10 to 20 years to reach the same level of understanding, making the knowledge gained through the conflict uniquely valuable. Zelensky also highlighted the U.S.-Ukraine drone partnership, describing it as mutually beneficial, and revealed that Ukraine plans to build a major drone manufacturing facility in the United States as part of the cooperation. I like how he highlighted Galamsey. For anyone who’s... new or doesn’t know about Galamsey. Galamsey basically means illegal mining. It happens in the Ashanti region, Central, Eastern and Western region, among others. It basically means mining without a license, often carried out in rivers , forests and other protected areas. The consequences of galamsey are serious because it leads to water pollution, destruction of farmlands, and loss of biodiversity. Mercury and cyanide, chemicals often used in the process, contaminate rivers and waterbodies, making them unsafe for drinking and farming. Many communities rely on the water from these rivers that are contaminated. Water treatments centers are shutting down due to the inability to filter the contaminated water. Babies are being born with birth defects, and there’s been a rise in kidney failure and other health related cases. Aside from the health and environmental impacts, Galamsey has severe social consequences. Some children are trafficked into illegal mining operations, often working in dangerous conditions for long hours. Galamsey is an ecosystem consisting of various actors that sustain its operations. We have political actors that protect these concessions, Chiefs that allow the destruction to continue, front liners who are on the ground, gold smugglers, foreign actors and so on. #StopGalamseyNowshow more
