I lost count of how many times I’ve been... called a horse, look like a man or been told I have too many muscles. I don't think carbs are a problem for building... muscle. I want to be clear about that, because I'm going to be misquoted on it within fifteen minutes of posting. Carbs can be very useful. They're perfectly healthy in the right context, eaten by someone whose metabolism handles them well, in quantities that match their training. There are physiques built on rice and chicken. There are physiques built on potatoes. The world is large. What I don't think is that carbs are necessary. When you train the way I train, low rep, low volume, high intent, you're predominantly using the phosphocreatine system. The first ten seconds of any heavy effort. Glycogen is barely touched. You're not draining a system that needs refilling. You're not running a marathon at the end of every set. Once you're properly fat adapted, six months in, sometimes longer, the body becomes extraordinarily efficient at running on fat and ketones for everything that isn't a sprint. Meat and fat take care of the building. Ketones take care of the energy. The system is closed. The bonus is everything else. You feel better. You recover faster. You look trimmer because you're not retaining water from glycogen storage. You don't have post-meal slumps. You don't need a pre-workout to get through a session that should already feel manageable. Six years on carnivore. Six years of training. The physique is there. The strength is there. The recovery is there. Carbs aren't the enemy. They're just not the requirement they've been sold as. 🔴IMPROVE YOUR SUPER COUNTER🔴 I will refer to you... the host as player 1 and friend as player 2 Step 1 - Invite friend to room and create a private match Step 2 - Make DP teams, equip Max health and ki recovery to all your character for this match. Step 3 - To initiate training player 1 should approach player 2 and charge melee attack (smash attack it’s called in game) As demonstrated on this video, also note you have 2 assault vanishing attacks not including lightning attack which would be (O on ps5) per assault combo string. Player 2 can try and super counter that first charged attack and if he fails he’s got another 2 chances at super counter after you follow up the next two vanishing assaults. Step 4 - Flick Up followed by rush attack (⬆️+🟪) so UP first than SQUARE almost simultaneously but fast! on hit. It sounds silly that it has to be on hit but it is literally how it is done so (same time you get hit is the time you input ⬆️+🟪) Step 5 - Never break this rule: you and your friend can only damage each other with successful Super counter. A little tip to reset the vanishing assaults mid vanishing assault combo sequence. - So say player 1 has connected a charged smash and a(1) vanishing assault, And player 2 did not succeed in executing super counters, what should happen next is player 2 should vanish the 2nd Vanishing Assault of player 1 by pressing (🔴) instead of attempting Super Counter (⬆️+🟪), and once player two knocks back player 1 with a successful 🔴 counter player 2 should now press 🔺to do 2 vanishing assault combos, whilst player 1 attempts doing (Super Counter), and if player 1 fails to super counter the first vanishing attack player 1 should press 🔴 on the 2nd attack, now making it so that player 2 has to attempt super counter.. 😭😂💀 I know complicated but it really isn’t. The entire battle can be of you two simply super countering each other! Me and my friend did this for a few hours to build muscle memory and reaction speed because what’ll notice is you have to be fast to react to super counters or else you will take tons of damage. It's 2030 and you are reviewing humanoid robots. A... Tesla. A Google. An Apple. An OpenAI. A Meta. A Figure. And a bunch of Chinese-made ones. Which one is best, and why? I think the Tesla understands the world much better. Why? There were eight Teslas around me on the freeway today. Start there. No other robot company has that data. But my robot is parked at the local high school twice a day. Its cameras see humans in all of our weirdness. How we move. Where we go. Where we walk. Who we talk with. What you are wearing. Whether your hair was combed this morning. That data will lead to robotics breakthroughs. Apple might keep up with its Vision Pro data, but it is too freaked out by the privacy implications of using said data. (On the front are six cameras and a couple of TOF -- Time Of Flight -- sensors that can see everything in your home in great detail). Google has a lot of data, for sure. All my: 1. Email. 2. Calendars. 3. Photos. 4. TV watching behavior. 5. Contacts. 6. Documents and spreadsheets. 7. Files. 8. Location data. So I expect Google's robot will be attractive to many. But how do you see the others shake out over the next five years? Make some guesses. But remember what an AI pioneer told me years ago about AI: it's all about the data. The Chinese ones have huge advantages: the Chinese have more data on their citizens, and many more citizens to boot AND they can make robots cheaper than we can. But now that you know OpenAI is building its own robot you have caught wind of what I've heard from many in San Francisco and Silicon Valley: that humanoid robots are the real prize of AI and will be highly profitable for those that can make them and find customers willing to buy them. If They Can Endure, So Can We. 🌱 There... are days when everything feels too heavy. You wake up and wonder, what’s the point? You try to do the right thing, to keep pushing forward, but it’s like shouting into a void full of nothing but emptiness. No one hears. Nothing changes. And slowly, you start to feel powerless. I’ve been there. Sometimes, I am there. Life feels like it’s happening to me, not with me. And the thought creeps in: Should I just give up? Why does it have to be this hard? But every time I get close to that edge, I think about them. Those girls who should be living their dreams right now, writing songs, dancing, laughing, performing freely for the people who love them. Instead, they’ve been thrown into a situation no one should have to face. And yet… they didn’t run. They could have chosen silence, or complied. Who would blame them for wanting peace, for craving a normal life? But they chose something braver. Of course they must have moments where they want to give up. They’re human too. Who wouldn’t want a normal, peaceful life? Who wants to wake up every day to pressure, uncertainty, and twisted narratives? I’m 100% sure, at some point, each of them has thought, “Why am I not just a regular person?” But they chose to fight. Not just for themselves, but for their dreams, their freedom and... For us. And that, to me, is powerful. Because if they, in the darkest of times, can still hold on, still stand tall, still sing and smile through it all, then maybe I can too. Maybe we all can. I know, I might sound over-exaggerated, but they truly are my motivation. Every single morning. And I have nothing but ultimate respect for what they’ve chosen. To stand up when they could’ve stayed silent, to walk through the fire instead of running away. It’s not easy. It’s unimaginable, really. But their courage reminds me that even in my own small, quiet battles, I’m not alone. If they can find the strength to keep going, then maybe, so can we. We’re all on this unpredictable ride called life, filled with twists, drops, and moments we never saw coming. But sometimes, the ones who inspire us the most are those who simply refuse to give up. Knowing that these girls are still fighting, with grace, with honesty, with love, gives me hope. And maybe that’s what we all need right now. Just a little more hope. You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to win every battle. Just don’t stop showing up for yourself. Like they do. Some things in life are worth fighting for. And so are you. The World Cup ends today. One game left. By... tomorrow most of you visitors will be packing up, heading to the airport, going home. So before you go, let me say the thing I actually want to say. A few weeks ago I wrote a silly post about all the things you were discovering here. Free refills. Free water. Ice like civilized people. Chips and salsa before you even order. Air conditioning that is a fact and not a moral debate. Drive-throughs. Ranch by the gallon. The Germans standing in the HEB meat aisle in reverent silence, finally understanding why we do not have trains. Buc-ee’s, for which there are still no words. It blew up, because it was true, and because you were so delightfully stunned by all of it. Even the Wall Street Journal caught on. Their headline this week: how the US lost the World Cup and won over the world. We did not lift the trophy. But apparently we lifted something else. We even learned a few things about ourselves along the way. Like the fact that Elon Musk, the single richest man on the planet, shops at HEB. Just rolls in and queues up for fresh tortillas with everybody else. The man could buy the tortilla company, the state it is in, and the moon it sits under, and instead he is standing in line at the hot-tortilla counter like the rest of us, because that is where the good ones are. Only in America is the wealthiest human alive elbow to elbow with a mom of four at the salsa bar. That is the whole country in one aisle. And here is the part I want every one of you to hear on your way out the door. None of it was a show. We did not roll all this out because you were coming. The ice was always there. The refills were always free. The grocery stores were always the size of aircraft hangars at ten on a Tuesday. The stranger who adopted your whole section, the guy who gave you a ride, the waitress who remembered your order, the family that invited you to the cookout, that is not World Cup America. That is just America. That is Tuesday. We are exactly like this when nobody is visiting. Loud, generous, ridiculous, overfed, and genuinely thrilled you came. We will still be exactly like this tomorrow when the stands are empty and the flags come down. So thank you. To everyone who came, who sang in our streets, who cleaned our stadiums, who turned our cities orange and filled our bars and taught us your chants. You were wonderful guests, and you made a country that just turned 250 feel young and seen and loved. And to everyone who could not make it this time, the door does not close today. We meant all of it. Come whenever. The porch light stays on, the fridge stays full, and there is always room for one more at the table. You found out who we are these last few weeks. Good news.
