🚨 ENGINEERS JUST PROPOSED A 36-MILE-LONG STARSHIP DESIGNED TO... REACH ANOTHER STAR SYSTEM. And the people who board it would never return. The concept is called “Chrysalis”: a gigantic interstellar generation ship capable of carrying 2,400 people toward Alpha Centauri over 4 light-years away. But there’s a catch. Even at incredible speeds… the journey could still take 400 years. That means: • the original passengers die onboard • their children inherit the mission • entire civilizations could live and die inside the ship before arrival In simple terms: Humanity may eventually build moving worlds instead of spacecraft. Why this matters: • long-term survival beyond Earth • interstellar colonization • closed-loop artificial ecosystems • multi-generational space societies • new propulsion and life-support technologies • the first true “space civilizations” But the deeper implication is existential: The first humans to reach another star… may never have seen Earth with their own eyes. Their idea of “home” would exist only through stories, archives, and memory. The terrifying possibility is this: Interstellar travel may not just change where humans live… …it may change what being human means. Because once entire generations are born between stars… human civilization stops being planetary. And starts becoming cosmic. What happens when humanity no longer belongs to a single world? Liberty Cats Limited Collector’s Box | The Language Behind... the Design We printed the DNA of each NFT directly onto the box — colors, traits, gear, and background, all displayed in code, like a birth certificate from the digital world. The black-and-orange contrast reflects the brand’s independence and boldness; the pixel heart at the center symbolizes the bond between player and cat; the minimalist inner box leaves space for the grand entrance of the star. This is more than just packaging — it’s a design piece infused with crypto spirit. #LibertyCatNFTshow more

Imagine making 2D concept art for a game world... –pressing a button – and suddenly you can walk around an interactive 3D world. That's what Google DeepMind's new paper Genie 2 can do – simulate virtual worlds, including the consequences of any action (e.g. unlock door, jump, swim etc). Right now Genie 2 can generate consistent worlds for up to a minute. And this world model seems to generate larger 3D worlds than what World Labs showcased yesterday. Plus they're dynamic vs. static worlds – the foliage moves in the wind, the water ripples etc. Not quite ready for prime time, but promising on two fronts: 1. For game developers: enabling rapid prototyping of interactive experiences straight from concept art 2. For AI research: providing unlimited, diverse 3D environments for training and testing AI agents The race for building the biggest, baddest world model is very much on. Meanwhile, all I can think is "if only Stadia was still around!"show more

Claude Fable 5 + Claude Design is f*cking insane... 🤯 Anthropic just dropped its most intelligent model ever, and the first thing I pointed it at was email design. I built a complete email campaign design in Claude Design, and the difference is night and day: tighter layouts, cleaner hierarchy, on-brand from the first generation. All inside Claude Design with Fable 5. Perfect for DTC brands and agencies who are still paying email agencies $3-5K/month for campaign designs that take 2 weeks to ship. If your campaign calendar is packed but every new email means briefing a designer, waiting on mockups, sending notes, and waiting again... This workflow eliminates the entire bottleneck: → Load your brand design system into Claude Design once (colors, fonts, logo, button styling) → Switch the model to Claude Fable 5 — Anthropic's new state-of-the-art model with the best vision of any AI → Prompt the campaign email section by section: header, hero, headline, offer block, CTA → Fable 5 nails layout and brand details that older models fumbled → Iterate inline — swap images, adjust styling, color-pick directly in the canvas → Export the finished email and hand off to your ESP No briefing a designer. No 2-week turnaround on a single campaign. No paying an agency $4K/month for 4 emails. What you get: → Campaign emails designed in minutes, not weeks → A reusable design system every new email pulls from automatically → Noticeably smarter design decisions from Fable 5's upgraded vision → Full inline editing before anything touches your ESP Built 100% with Claude Design + Claude Fable 5. I recorded a full walkthrough showing exactly how this works. Want it for free? > Like this post > Comment "FABLE" And I'll send it over (must be following so I can DM)show more

messy inputs 👉🏽 polished outputs built a prototype with... the idea of letting users bring together images from Lummi into a canvas, quickly wireframe a concept, and then generate polished images as a photo, illustration, 3d render, whatever—with the right lighting, shadows, cohesive colors, and all that good stuff the output is still not great... but this is where I see the future of creative tools heading—kind of like how you give ChatGPT an idea for an email—all the messy bits—and it writes it for you in any tone or style you want in a clear way. now imagine that but for design or imageryshow more

Last post on this I'd appreciate if people took... the time to read it and share it because I think when people listen they deserve credit but TRNSMT have done more than that I complained about the disabled situation TRNSMT Festival and I think the fact that they listened and made changes is the kind of progressive attitude we need towards disabled facilities. I wasn't complaining to come across as some sort of Karen, it just genuinely would've been a health and safety risk. So I think it's only right that I commend them for the work they've done with the platform this year. The platform has many key things that I think make it the best at any festival I've been at. 1.Clear marked out lanes for people to move out to the toilets and back to their seat to avoid congestion and create space 2. A bar for disabled people beside the platform this is amazing. 3. Toilets well spaced out as well as a changing places toilets for people who more severe disabilities beside the platform. 4. Plenty of space in the toilets. 5. It's huge and you feel really close to the stageshow more

Researchers at Columbia University have developed modular robots that... can adapt, repair, and even rebuild themselves using a concept called robot metabolism. 🤖 Instead of remaining fixed, these robots can detach, reconnect, and reorganize their own structure based on the task or environment. If one part is damaged, the system can replace or rearrange itself rather than stopping completely. This could reshape the future of disaster response, industrial automation, and even space exploration. The idea of robots that evolve instead of wear out is becoming more than science fiction. What real-world application do you think will benefit most from this technology? 🎥 Media: Columbia University ⚠️ This content is shared for informational purposes only. V TYPE 非: What Does Kim Taehyung's Creative Direction... Mean? The announcement of the V TYPE 非 photobook highlighted a detail that defines the significance of this work: the artist actively participated in every stage, “from planning to photography.” But what does this mean in practice? A Creative Director is responsible for conceiving, organizing, and guiding the artistic vision of a project. Their role is not to technically execute all the steps, but to define the “why,” the “how,” and the “what for” of each aesthetic and narrative choice. They act as a true ARCHITECT OF IDEAS, ensuring that concept, image, narrative, and emotion work together. They ensure that the project has soul, identity, and coherence, aligning all the professionals involved — photographers, designers, stylists, costume designers, set designers, and editors — in a single creative direction. IN GENERAL, KIM TAEHYUNG: • Created the central concept • Defined the visual and emotional narrative • Established artistic and symbolic references (art, fashion, cinema, photography, music, architecture, etc.) • Guided the aesthetic language (atmosphere, light, palette, rhythm, textures) • Determined the tone of the project (intimate, experimental, documentary, symbolic) • Established the visual rhythm: order of images, pauses, silences • Guided framing, expressions, poses, and atmospheres • Coordinated and aligned the creative teams • Ensured coherence and identity from beginning to end • Conceived the Photobook as an artistic object: paper, cover, typography, weight, and texture. Taehyung is the guardian of the artistic vision. The result is a cohesive visual discourse, where each image exists for a reason. THE CREATIVE DIRECTOR IN THE PHOTOBOOK EXHIBITION In the exhibition, the creative director expands the photobook into physical space, transforming it into an immersive experience. The purpose is not just to show photos: it's to make the public traverse the concept. HERE, KIM TAEHYUNG ACTS IN: • Curating the exhibited images • Defining the public's path • Building the spatial narrative (beginning, climax, ending) • Dialogue between images, space, light, and silence • Choosing formats, sizes, and layouts • Integrating sensory elements (sound, text, architecture, rhythm) • Ensuring that the exhibition preserves the original concept of the photobook. In a market where many artists merely lend their image, Taehyung reaffirms his role as an author. “TYPE 非” is not just a record of his image, it is the materialization of his artistic sensibility. It is the signature of someone who not only participates in the work — he builds the work. In a photobook and its exhibition, Kim Tarhyung directs the experience, the reading, and the memory that the public will take with them. V TYPE 非 IS COMING!!! #V_TYPE非show more

Google dropped a new AI paper called LUMIERE. It's... remarkably flexible, supporting video inpainting, image-to-video, AND stylized video generation tasks. Say hello to “space-time diffusion” for video generation! Now what the heck does that mean exactly?! 🌐⏳ → TL;DR it utilizes a “Space-Time UNet” architecture that generates the full duration of the video in one pass, rather than generating distant keyframes and interpolating between them like prior works. Because the computation is done in this “compressed space-time representation” to generate the full clip at once, it's far more temporally consistent. → Another benefit of generating the full video at once is that you can “direct” the video generation, making it easier to hand off to other models/tasks without having to stitch together partial solutions. You can condition generations on additional inputs, meaning you get the full stack of AI video capabilities – from video inpainting to image-to-video and beyond. → New SOTA for AI video generation? User study results in the paper suggest human evaluators preferred Lumiere over Runway Gen-2, Pika Labs, and Stable Video Diffusion in terms of quality, text alignment AND motion. But as always, we need to get hands-on with this tech when Google *actually* decides to ship it. → Could this end up inside YouTube? Y’all know i’m obsessed with blending reality and imagination – so it’s the video inpainting tech I'm most excited about. I really hope this model finds its way into YouTube's Generative AI efforts, and based on their prior announcements and the list of acknowledgments in the paper I think it might! 🤞🏽 Links: 🔗Paper: 🔗Project:show more
