Spending next 2 days at Network School NS by... Balaji just across from Singapore 🇸🇬 First impressions: - This place is nuts, literally - You can feel the optimism resonating as soon as you step into the lobby - It’s a 13 floor 5 star hotel taken over by cracked startup founders in a $100B ghost city that was built for 700k people but only inhabits ~4k - The energy is intense, everyone’s locked in, every room has multiple whiteboards, and every whiteboard has multiple ideas scrawled all over it - Every fridge is packed with Bryan Johnson approved meals (I had my first ever Nutty Pudding and it was better than I expected altho could’ve had more berries in it 🍓) - Not everyone here is technical, so you get a bunch of different perspectives which is nice - The gym is huge and has a sauna+cold plunge which is a massive bonus - I played chess against a physical robot for the first time lol Overall everyone is really friendly and happy to chat And they are happy to actually sit down to go deep into things and share some of their domain knowledge (which is awesome) My brain is so stimulated from the first 24hrs of convos So far the place holds up to its name Will update again soonshow more

Step 3 - To initiate training player 1 should approach player 2 and charge melee attack (smash attack it’s called in game) As demonstrated on this video, also note you have 2 assault vanishing attacks not including lightning attack which would be (O on ps5) per assault combo string. Player 2 can try and super counter that first charged attack and if he fails he’s got another 2 chances at super counter after you follow up the next two vanishing assaults. Step 4 - Flick Up followed by rush attack (⬆️+🟪) so UP first than SQUARE almost simultaneously but fast! on hit. It sounds silly that it has to be on hit but it is literally how it is done so (same time you get hit is the time you input ⬆️+🟪) Step 5 - Never break this rule: you and your friend can only damage each other with successful Super counter. A little tip to reset the vanishing assaults mid vanishing assault combo sequence. - So say player 1 has connected a charged smash and a(1) vanishing assault, And player 2 did not succeed in executing super counters, what should happen next is player 2 should vanish the 2nd Vanishing Assault of player 1 by pressing (🔴) instead of attempting Super Counter (⬆️+🟪), and once player two knocks back player 1 with a successful 🔴 counter player 2 should now press 🔺to do 2 vanishing assault combos, whilst player 1 attempts doing (Super Counter), and if player 1 fails to super counter the first vanishing attack player 1 should press 🔴 on the 2nd attack, now making it so that player 2 has to attempt super counter.. 😭😂💀 I know complicated but it really isn’t. The entire battle can be of you two simply super countering each other! One thing I always find funny about Mexico City... is how many expats say it's expensive now 🇲🇽 One issue is the exchange rate but that always goes up and down. I've seen that over the 9 years here. High at 24, low at 16. But another factor is that they're only looking at overpriced places like this in just 1 or 2 neighborhoods And it's ironic how many of them will have the balls to travel to another country (Mexico) but don't have the balls to look at neighborhoods outside Roma or Condesa I've heard many of them say that the rest of CDMX is poor or dangerous By how they describe it, you'd think they think that the rest of CDMX is controlled by the ghosts of Pablo Escobar and Osama Bin Laden Take one step outside Condesa and you are DEAD 💀 Yes, most of the city isn't suitable by expat standards but they don't know that from experience or research. They only say that because most travelers are Lonely Planet types. If those other areas aren't recommended by Lonely Planet or their favorite YouTuber, they act like it doesn't exist And there ARE plenty of liveable areas outside Roma and Condesa Roma isn't even that great imo. It's OK The only real argument for CDMX being expensive is when you compare it to most of LATAM, not the US 🇺🇸 Because even Polanco looks cheap compared to the equivalent in NYC But yeah, you can definitely find way cheaper cities in the rest of LATAM Though having explored many of those areas, I'd say much of LATAM doesn't hold a candle to CDMX when it comes to quality of living, entertainment options, closeness to the US, etc That's one of the reasons CDMX is so popular: it has more of a complete package while still being relatively cheap to the US 🔥show more

I’ve never shared the full inside baseball on the... inside fastball that broke my jaw April 5, 2008 at Ole Miss, we were facing projected 1st rounder and future Big Leaguer, Lance Lynn Before it became widespread, Lance had success pitching towards the top of the zone with a fastball that appeared to rise He got me out my first at bat on a high fastball that I should have laid off So my 2nd at bat I told myself to see the ball down in the zone My eyes jumped from his release point to the area I was trying to see the ball down to. I never ended up seeing the pitch until .01 before it hit me If you’ve ever gotten hit in the face, you don’t know what happened at first. So it took me about half a second to realize what happened When I did, I fully expected to spit teeth out and when I leaned over to spit and saw that only blood came out, I assumed I was fine Then I heard the Ole Miss head coach yell “it hit his bat,” because the cracking of my jaw sounded like a foul ball off a mental bat I turned around and yelled “shut the fuck up” at their dugout and proceeded on to first base My trainer came up to me and his first words were “oh fuck,” Knowing that was poor bedside manner, and that I was probably very fucked up, I joked “you’re not supposed to say that,” At that point I knew I was coming out of the game but I was so full of adrenaline that it didn’t hurt and wouldn’t begin to hurt for a couple hours Both the pitcher and coach felt so bad after it happened that both came to apologize to me at the end of the inning while I was beside their dugout being tended to by my trainer and their doctor I actually had to walk to the parking lot through the stadium seats and all the fans looked at me in horror as I had a white bloody rag hanging off my face. It was surreal watching their reactions to my blood We drove over to an Oxford medical center that was clearly not the best location for me to be in, so my coach’s wife drive me up to Nashville to get surgery that night We got swept that weekend and I got my jaw wired shut for the first of 6 weeks I stupidly tried to come back and play the following week. My coaches let me as I was medically cleared to hit with a face mask, but the rest of my season I was a different hitter I was hitting .400 at the time of the fracture, 2nd in the SEC, with 2 months left in the season I finished the year hitting .312. Meaning I flipped from one of the best hitters in the conference to one of the worst before and after the incident Despite finishing my Vandy career 7th on their all time hit list, this play is what I hear about the most when I return I’ve been lucky that I haven’t had much issues with my jaw thus far post incident, although I did find out that 2 of the nerves of the impacted teeth are dead, and I will likely need to get one of those teeth extracted at some point When they showed me the X Ray it was a clear break. It was a STRUGGLE… Turns out it’s incredibly hard to get poker players to try new venues, even if they are beautiful, even if you offer them free food, even if you spew hard and buy bucket after bucket of beer! Hi everyone, this week I finally received the new... ANyONe Relay! ANyONe Protocol is an interesting DePIN focused on building a more decentralized internet and making our privacy more secure 💯 I'm still waiting to release a video because the new Dashboard isn't active yet but for those interested the most important points that I want to highlight are these: 1) The #Miner is Plug&Play so easy to install, just follow the initial steps and you're fine, once installed you don't have to do anything else. 2) There is no limit for IP but if for example you put 2 Relays in the same #IP it isn't certain that you will have double rewards, because they basically do the same job, to get more rewards it's better to use different IPs. 3) To make the Relay operational it's necessary to open port 9001 in your Modem. Without this operation the #mining will basically not start, so make sure you have a modem or connection that can open the ports.
