Yet congestion on this stretch remains intense. We spoke to a few regular commuters and, along the way, some auto/cab drivers who use this stretch every day. Their observation was striking: “Traffic has doubled, not reduced. We know what is happening on the ground.” Is that perception or is there something more to it? This is the world's largest residential building named Regent International, Hangzhou, China. Standing 675 feet tall, it spans an enormous 1.47 million square meters. With 39 floors and thousands of apartments, it currently houses over 20,000 residents. However, the structure is built to accommodate even more—up to 30,000 people. He has been singing this song for the last 15 years and remains in parliament.
